+ -1 moreEven though there was a little bit of a settling problem, the group came out and troubleshoot it and they did a great job. We think they have a very good warrantee. They live up to it. There were some problems and they came out recently and they fixed everything. They didn't charge us anything. They did it with their own personal warrantee kind of thing. They took care of it right away. I thought that they are very good with their work. Whatever was needed to be done, they did it. I think the windows are really good. I don't hear when there's a storm outside, so it's actually soundproof.

My home of 20 years was completely trashed by Sandy and from the moment I walked into the showroom on Hempstead Tpke I was treated with compassion and the utmost professionalism. I told them I wanted a total rebuild including elevating my home and I also let them know what my budget was and what I was looking for. I had never commissioned a house to be built from scratch and I was incredibly nervous about the cost and going over budget because in the beginning I had no idea if my insurance would pay anything. The owner Sal Ferro, Marylou Arceri, Ron Benkin and my main man the project coordinator for the whole job, Rick Burke basically put my mind at ease and dealt with all the permits and beaurocratic nonsense and just got down to business. I opted for a modular and I'm very happy with it.All the work Alure did and all their subcontractors were topnotch, professional, and prompt. Not only was all the work excellent but we came in under budget! That's correct, that wasn't a typo. We were under budget. My home was ravaged by Sandy and now thanks to Alure Home Improvements I'm living in a beautiful brand new home and I would gladly without reservation recommend Alure to anyone who asks.

When Ron Marder, the kitchen designer came to my house for the consultation, we sat down and within 3 hours, I had chosen cabinets, counter top, backsplash, floor, lighting and plumbing fixtures. He brought samples of everything with him and made selection easy. I gave him an idea of what style I liked and he pointed me in the right direction. This saved me countless hours and miles, shopping from place to place to choose each of the kitchen components required. All I had to do was purchase appliances, and I was given the name of a wonderful appliance store that works in conjunction with Alure. (By the way, they had the best prices and within 45 minutes, I had chosen my appliances and walked out the door, to leave all the details to them and Alure! Another wonderful convenience.) When the time came for the work to begin, each day, I was contacted by the Alure office and given the schedule for the following day. All the workman - demolition crew, sheet rock crew, plumbers, electrician, cabinet installers, flooring people, granite and tile people, were on time, courteous, and very professional. My project coordinator, Emilio Floro, was so absolutely wonderful, that I felt I had won a lottery! He came every day, answered every phone call, every question, and addressed my every need. This man was worth his weight in gold! So, in conclusion, I would recommend Alure to anyone who is doing a kitchen or bathroom remodel. They are a well-oiled machine and have so much experience, that their performance is at a very high and efficient level. And, my kitchen is beautiful!

I am confident that when we call for an inspection things will done to our satisfaction. as expected, our complaints were addressed and corrected in a timely manner. good job Lucas and the boys. now, on to the next job.

Fred Missurella was the project manager. He was so prompt, patient and efficient -when I have more improvements done-he is the man. Then we sat down and Mike explained 3 options for our attic renovation. He was very thorough and explained everything very well. He was familiar with the financing we would need to move forward and led us through the steps we would need to take. In the end the cost was just too high for us to proceed with the renovations, but we will consider Alure for future projects.

+ 1 moreExcellent job. Was initially skeptical because I found them in BJs or someplace like that, and I didn't want a and quot;home depotand quot; looking bathroom since my home is high end quality. But wanted a good price of course. They have all the good stuff, even high end if you want it, and gave a good deal. Best was they did a really careful job with attention to detail--lots of tile work. And, they also came back two times to fix stuff that was bothering me or not right. Some of these things they really could have charged me for such as when I dropped the cover to the shower fixture and it broke, but they fixed it for free. They also upgraded the exhaust fan for free when I saw it was not doing the job. I am planning to use them again, and think they are really good. And I am picky.

We had a terrible experience with another contractor 18 years ago - wish we had known about Alure back then. Billy Coen was the designer/salesman who came up with an elegant and functional design. The materials are quality, and the contractors who came into our home were the "A Team." Mark Donnelly was the Production Manager who planned, ordered, organized and made sure all work went smoothly. Patricia and Shatoya called us each evening to ask if we had any problems, questions or concerns and then told us what time workers would arrive at our home the next morning. They were all a pleasure to deal with. This company values their reputation and they take great pride in their work, which they stand behind. If you are looking to hire a contractor who is trustworthy, reliable and efficient, try Alure. We are extremely happy with our new kitchen and will be sure to use Alure for all of our home improvement ventures in the future. We highly recommend them.

There was a small problem with some grout color. Alure sent a man out the next day to correct the concern. Bottom line GREAT QUALITY OF PRODUCTS - GREAT QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP - FAIR PRICE - RECOMMENDED!

Done in 5 days, again as promised!! Ron and Emilio (our apologies for not remembering his last name) were attentive and completely understanding to our needs. The two gentlemen that performed all the hands on work and GORGEOUS results were amazing! Phil Fischlein (painter) was great too! And if we've left someone out, please forgive us because EVERY SINGLE person we encountered we were so grateful to have working on our projects. We are so happy we chose Alure and if you choose them, we think you will be too!

Everything was done in a very fast and efficient manner and nothing what compromised with speed. The entire process took exactly one week. When I had any little problem (and there were very few) they came back and fixed it immediately. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

+ 0 moreI would never use Alure based on the strong arm tactics that the salesman used to try to get us to sign a contract - this after being one hour late to the appointment. My husband practically had to throw him out at 10 PM at night! The sales person offered special prices that we could only get if we signed that night or agreed to give a testimonial. To top it off, he refused to leave us with a copy of the quote! Very unprofessional.

From the time they measure for us to the time we had the job completed was about 3 weeks. They sided our entire house perfectly and even went above their installation by cleaning our shutters so that they look like new with the new siding, they are AMAZING! Description of Work: Our previous installed Certainteed sidling had a factory flaw causing very bad fading, which when we Certainteed they honored their lifetime warranty by replacing all of our siding. Alure was recommended by Certainteed as their "Premier installer on Long Island” to do the removal and installation of the new siding on entire house.

Description of Work: I was looking for a contractor to do 2 bathroom remodels. I set up an appointment for an estimate with Alure. The man arrived on time. It was downhill from there. He was arrogant and condescending. After a quick look and some obligatory measurements, we sat in my kitchen where I really learned what this company is all about. i could not ask any questions about the job, because the man told me he's just "a pencil pusher" and not the guy who "swings the hammer'. Any questions I had could be answered by the project manager after I bought their program. I told him I was getting three estimates and then would make my decision. I mentioned local, established independent contractors. He was extremely degrading and derogatory about small business owners and how they drive up to your house in a beat up pick up truck and tell you they can't start working until their kid's soccer game is over. I was appalled and asked him not to talk that way. He smugly replied that is what he has been hearing. He refused to give me a written estimate or proposal. He said Alure does not give any written estimates or proposals.. Their cost did not include painting. I was limited to three pre-set packages. The one he recommended for me was over $11,000. Ultimately, the quote from the local, well established, very respected contractor I hired was under $6,000. I caution anyone thinking of using Alure to reconsider. Local business owners live in the community, depend on their business by word of mouth and reputation. They do not advertise as Alure does (with full page color ads in the newspaper). The local guys make it on their merits and don't have a big corporation to hide behind if they screw up.

+ -1 moreFinished my basement and wanted the proper permits. It took Nassau County 4 months to approve it( I guess Alure has no control over County backlog- and they did warn me it would be an issue) . I love the finished product- excellent workmanship. They take special care to cover all floors, from the front door to the basement and cleaned up at the end of each day. Be for warned however that it is not a two week job, no matter what they tell you! Excluding weekends, it was at least a month. The only remaining work is a door adjustment. their prices higher than average but they are worth it.

+ 0 moreIn terms of work, it went extremely well. The two gentlemen who installed the windows were wonderful—professional, punctual, polite, and did a suburb job. They were careful to lay canvas on the floors and to sweep up paint chips and dust. I am very pleased with their work. The windows have only been in for a day, so I'd love to come back in a year or two or ten and report that they're still doing brilliantly. The ONLY reason I said I wouldn't hire Alure again has everything to do with the difficulty in communicating with the salesperson and nothing to do with the work done. After having signed the contract, I asked if we could add three more windows and a door. I emailed dimensions and photos of the windows to the salesperson, and she never got back to me, not even after they were measured by their own people. Very discouraging. (This also makes the above scoring difficult. The workers' professionalism gets an A+, but I think the company as a whole could do a lot better in terms of communication with clients.) This non-responsiveness made me decide to go elsewhere for the other windows as well as the roofing, kitchen, and bath. Perhaps Alure would benefit in hiring more salespeople (?). In conclusion, if you don't mind dealing with these few issues, go ahead and order their windows. The price isn't over the top and the work is excellent. And, P.S., the workers managed to install 14 windows in about eight hours. And, more important than great windows and fine workmanship, they were sweet to my dogs.
