Description of Work: roof replacement

Description of Work: I got a quote on painting the exterior of my house from this company. First, the fellow was 1/2 hour late, making me late for work. The quote was $14,000, which was twice as much as the three other quotes I got from other companies, and twice as much as I had been informed by the previous owner that it would cost. I got the impression that Alex was trying to scare me by saying that "No one will give me a price under $10,000" and then trying vigorously to up-sell me on siding, which I said I did not want and could not afford anyway at the price of $20,000. Basically, the guy seemed off to me from the get-go. I subsequently dealt with someone else who had done much more research on the property ahead of time, and what would be required n terms of permits etc (it is an old house but not historic) and who seemed to want the job much more (and who was early for the appointment). Also, I guess I just trust someone who actually has paint on them when they come to the house rather than fancy business cards and folders and logo t-shirts.

Description of Work: Evolution Roofing met my expectations to a tee. We had a roof put on 6 years ago by an unreputable contractor (Piacente Construction) who ended up not only putting on all our shingles incorrectly but also covered vents in our roof which caused mold & rot to the inside of our attic...Evolution Roofing came & accessed problem..gave us an estimate & replaced the roof. They were the most proffesional contractor to review the damage we had & provide us a means to correct the situation since our entire roof had to be replaced due to poor workmanship provided by previous contractor. They came in did their job very efficiently & left us happy we had gone with this contractor. Kuddos!!

Description of Work: I had a leak in my roof. Alex came explained the problem and two solutions....I went with replacing the vent as it had been there forever.....so far there are no new leaks and we had quite a bit of rain last weekend. His crew was punctual and they brought me the old part to show me how bad it was. They cleaned up the area and left. I would recommend them.

Description of Work: Home Evolution removed our old roof and put on an entirely new roof. They also put on an ice shield, which melts the ice on its own.

Description of Work: Nice job-no problems. Did the work and all was taken care of.

Description of Work: Had an estimate done. Very punctual, seemed professional, including an explanation and pictures on I-pad of what was found to be wrong on the roof. Left what I thought was a very reasonable estimate and references for review. While interested in the job to be done, it is still beyond my budget.

Description of Work: Contractor removed entire barn roof and replaced. Contractor removed all water damaged ply wood and replaced. Installed ice barrier under shingles. Installed shingles. Contractor was excellent in that he finished the job on a sunday. Contractor cleaned up and removed all material. Note this Barn was located 50 yards from roadway. Everything had to be hand carted back and forth. This is a code| Easy NOTE TO GET THIS SENT I HAVE TO CHECK CONDITIONS. I AM NOT A PAID MEMBER . I AM JUST REPORTING ON YOUR CLIENT.
