My generator was not powerful enough to power the whole house in addition to aging and needing to be replaced. I got estimates from three reputable dealers. Guerin Generator Services not only gave me the best estimate but there installation was exceptional. It is a small family own business which deals only in generators. The installers. Peter and Steven arrived on time and did a fabulous job. They completely explained how everything worked. They removed all the old equipment and left the work areas cleaner than it was when they started. They went above and beyond including the painting of the gas pipe they installed outside to prevent it from rusting. Since it was a natural gas generator, after they completed the installation they ensured the pilot light on the hot water heater was lit and the gas fire place was working properly. If you are thinking of getting a standby I strongly recommend Guerin Generator Services.

Generator failed to work during an outage so I had the original dealer come out and check unit, was not happy with their work or $1500.00 price for repairs so from a co-workers referral we call Guerin Generators in. He diagnosed the unit and confirmed it was a factory defect, within a 3 min phone call to generac he had all the parts on the way and everything was covered by Generac. Being new home owners and new parents we were worried about being with out power. From the first impression with Guerin Generators we were very impressed, They were on time, put on shoe covers before entering our home,(my husband loved this as it showed the respect they had for our property) then reviewed our equipment and gave us our options, They even had a box on their forum and asked if we had pets to notify install team not to leave doors open and be mindful of our pets. Once we signed the proposal Guerin handled all the permits, install, inspections, and arranged local utility company to upgrade gas meter, we didnt have to do anything. The Day of the install they again showed up on-time, put down protective paper over our floors from the door to any areas they had to work in ( our basement did not have an outside entrance) Peter and Steve worked neat and efficiently taking care to our home and our pets. We were out of power for a short time while they made the connections to our electrical system. Once work was coming to an end we were surprised to here a vacuum running, they cleaned up all areas they worked inside and out, they were cleaner when they left than they were before they started. When the install was complete Peter took us step by step over each aspect and explaining the system, what they had done and how it worked. He then demonstrated a power failure so we could see what to expect and what noises we would hear. It was great, power went out and in 10-15 sec generator was running and power restored, while on generator we went around the house with Peter making sure everything worked and seen how generator performed. We then went back to the basement and Peter turned the power back on and a min later you could here the big switch change house back to utility power and then after a short cool down you could hear the generator shut off. Lastly they tested the Guerin 7 monitoring system which sends us email and text message alerts for any status changes to our generator so even if were away we will know if the power goes out and the generator is working correctly, Guerin also monitors out generator and will respond to fix unit if any faults should arise. We had such an amazing experience with Guerin Generator Service and wish our other home improvements had gone this well, looking forward to their yearly service to keep our investment running top notch.
