We are delighted with the professional, polished job that Metro Builders did on our new home. We are very cost-senstive, demanding people, and we are admittedly not the easiest clients, as we have very high standards and asked for many custom features. Carl and Rosie Diesing took these requests in stride, made many excellent suggestions for improvements and cost-savings, and have managed to bring this project nearly to completion within our budget and without delays for any reason other than June's record wet weather. Metro Builders is a family business, and communication has been very easy and smooth. Rosie handles e-mails and business matters and Carl manages the construction crews. He has been doing business in the Hudson Valley for over twenty years, and has great relationships with the people who sell services and building materials. He saved us a fortune by referring us to great vendors who had amazing sales on quality products, and others who could explain the pros and cons of various systems we were considering for our home. We referred a friend to Metro Builders, and we were very pleased how quickly and how well Carl managed to complete her project without neglecting ours. We are very pleased with how our home turned out, as are the neighbors and people who happen to drive by. It makes us feel really great when we hear how well people think of our house. Getting this dream home built was a process fraught with setbacks before we were lucky enough to be introduced to Carl and Rosie. Some years earlier, we tried to build a modular home, only to have our efforts undermined by the fact that Chelsea Modular Homes went bankrupt and the owner cheated us out of nearly $10,000 by refusing to return our deposit. After that terrible experience, we were determined not to make similar mistakes ever again. Once we had replenished our savings, we called builders all over the Hudson Valley and visited dozens of models and previously built homes. Metro Builders provided a comprehensive list of completed projects and invited us to contact the owners for reference. We were pleased with the uniformly excellent reviews of the people with whom we spoke and visited, and we admired the solid look, high-quality materials and creative features that were built into these homes. As a small company, Carl and Rosie can take on only a limited number of projects, but once they commit to a project, they put their full dedication into doing it well.
