I replaced my very tall built in refrigerator with a shorter french door model. J.D. sheetrocked the space above the new refrigerator so it looks like it fits well in the kitchen. He also removed upper and lower cabinets of a dry sink in an alcove and made that space into a pantry with adjustable shelves. The wall had to be built out and a door was installed that matched the doors in the rest of my house. Finishing work was done in both spaces, molding along the floor, and around the door of the pantry. J.D. was easy to work with he had great suggestions and listened to what I wanted. He was very professional, showed up on time and the work was high quality. I highly recommend him and will definitely use his services again.

Halfmoon Handyman Services Our past experiences with ?handymen? left a lot to be desired. So this time, we decided to use Angie?s List, which came highly recommended to us. After a pleasant and detailed search we decided to schedule an appointment with Halfmoon Handyman Services. Owner, JD Packard, visited us. JD arrived promptly and neatly attired. He was both courteous and professional. We visited the basement and explained the situation and detailed what we wanted done. JD spent about fifteen minutes measuring, inspecting and asking questions. Most importantly, he paid close attention to what we had to say. Back upstairs, the three of us discussed the work and we had a rather nice conversation. My husband and I had a very good feeling about JD. He was knowledgeable and showed good judgment offering sound reasons and measures in approaching the job. JD said he would send us an estimate in two days for our review. Two days later, JD telephoned letting us know that he was sending the estimate and contract for our review by e-mail. We reviewed the contract and estimate, (which was quite reasonable) and decided whole-heartedly to have JD do this part of our basement restoration. We set a date for the work to begin. On each preceding night JD called and outlined in detail exactly what work was to be done the following day, as well as his times of arrival and departure. At the close of each workday, JD asked us to inspect with him what he and his team had accomplished always asking if we were satisfied. My husband and I were very impressed with the quality of work and their adherence to the schedule. In four days, the old insulation was neatly bagged and removed, new insulation was installed, the sheetrock was installed primed and painted and the basement was left clean. JD and his team were organized, efficient, professional and very careful to not damage anything in our home in the process. It was a terrific job. We are so happy with the work that we want to continue with JD for the next phase of our basement restoration - a drop ceiling and lighting. That work is scheduled to begin the last week of June. We are happy with the way our basement is shaping up and we are making JD our permanent handyman. In the end, we found JD: · Primarily concerned with our satisfaction; · Finished his work with outstanding quality of workmanship and attention to detail; · Was always courteous; · Worked quietly (no blasting radio, inappropriate language, etc.); · Was consistently punctual on each day?s arrival/departure times; · Completed all work scheduled for each day; · Costs came right to the penny of his estimate. Our relationship with Halfmoon Handyman Services has been a total success and we highly recommend him. Lastly, we are grateful and indebted to Angie?s List for the opportunity to meet with JD.
