Capital Gutters

I called Capital Gutters after checking them out on Angie's List when I noticed our gutter was being pulled down from our roof by very large icicles. Eddie returned my message on the same day and was able to arrange to send Glenn down next morning to fix the gutter. Glenn was prompt, communicative, polite and took care of the job effectively and immediately after chatting with us about an estimate cost. Will definitely give these guys a call when we need to get our gutters cleaned in a few months!

I was contacted almost immediately by Eddie to set up a date for gutter cleaning. On the day of the job Ray, Eddie's brother, showed up early (always a good thing in my mind) and got right to work. The job was done promptly and quickly and I was very pleased. Since I've only had the house a few months I have no idea how long it had been since the gutters had last been cleaned. Ray showed me a handful of roofing nails that were in one of the gutters and this gave me an idea of how long it had been since the gutters were cleaned - the roof had been replaced in 2009! I plan on making this an annual job with Capital Gutters.

Eddie returned my call right away and was extremely friendly and professional. He got me an estimate very promptly and once accepted, gutters were installed within a day or two. He was not a pushy salesman trying to convince me to purchase more than what I asked for. He was also extremely knowledgable and took the time to explain all of his work. So far the gutters are great! I have no complaints and would definitely hire Eddie and his brother again!

Everything went great. Quick to respond via messaging and once I was ready to go forward with the install they were here in just a couple of days. Arrived on time and got gutters installed in just a couple of hours. Overall very pleased.

I called Eddie on Thursday to have my gutters cleaned and it was done on Friday without me taking off time to be at home. I am very pleased. The job was done and there was no mess left in my yeard.

We purchased this to repair our gutter. We were told they only repair seamless gutters. We would like a refund or credit.

Eddie came out to give me an estimate the day after I called. He walked around the house with me and I pointed out problem areas where ice builds up,etc. He then showed me exactly where all gutters and down spouts would go and the benefits of them. He gave me a price with and without the gutter covers and told me that he didn't think the gutter helmets were necessary for our house ( I felt good about that, no salesman trying to up his commission, just honest advice from the owner.) He told me they schedule about a week out but it was a matter of days. Install went perfectly, no problems and very professional. The gutter system works just as I need it to. I may have them come back and put a gutter on the garage.

I am so pleased with my experience. From the initial phone call to job completion, everything went smoothly. I called because rain was pouring off the roof and hitting the ground within inches from the house. After a few minutes on the phone with Eddie, he identified the problem and had a plan to fix it. The next day, I received a text (according to our arrangement and my preference) that they would be out the following day. Sure enough, they arrived right on time and got to work. The job took exactly the amount of time they estimated. The bill was exactly what I was quoted. I then received a phone call to make sure I was happy with the job. They are extremely professional and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend them!

They installed gutters and provided some guidance on drainage issues.

The owner, Eddie, came to provide the estimate. He was punctual, courteous, and efficient. In addition to the basic damaged gutter replacement, he recommended that my downspout be moved from one side (where it descended the full height of the house) to the other side of the gutter, where it could be run into a lower gutter and make for a cleaner appearance from the street. He bid $399 and promised that the re-orientation of the gutter and downspout would not involve any extra charge. The work was done on schedule and according to Eddie's promises. The work site was left in clean condition. I am happy with the appearance and function of the new gutters and the re-orientation of the downspout. Our job fell in the "small-job special" category and was, by default, $399. The price was $100 higher than what my insurance company was willing to reimburse. Regardless, I knew this upfront and didn't mind paying a bit extra out of pocket to a company with a reputation for quality materials and service. I highly recommend this company for gutter work, and would use them again.

I contacted Capital Gutters on August 7th after obtaining an estimate from another company for the replacement of new gutters and downspouts on my home. I received a call back from Eddie (within 30 minutes after leaving a message ) letting me know that he could come out to my home the same day to give me an estimate. As promised Eddie came out to my home within 2 hours after we spoke to give me an estimate. I was so impressed with the turnaround time between calling for an estimate and actually obtaining one that I hired Capital Gutters on the spot to do the work. I should add that the estimate I received from Capital Gutters was $550 less than the estimate I originally received from another company. Eddie advised me that he and his brother could install the gutters and downspouts within a few days and that I would receive a text message the day before installation letting me know when they will be arriving to do the work. On August 9th I received a text from Capital Gutters to let me know that they will be arriving at my home on August 10th between 9am-11am to install the new gutters and downspouts. I arrived home from work today to find brand new gutters and downspouts installed on my home. The job was done professionally and there were no signs of any debris on the property. I would recommend Capital Gutters to anyone looking for a company to install gutters and downspouts who knows the meaning of providing remarkable customer service at a fair price. I would definitely do business with them in the future!

Original estimate was prompt and they worked with our schedule to be sure we would be home when they came. We called Eddie back to get a estimate to add gutter helmets a month later because of tree debris clogging the gutters. This was something we discussed at the initial meeting. Eddie did not pressure us either way to get helmets or not. We learned for ourselves that it was something we did in fact need. He came back out to give us an estimate to add more helmets than was first discussed. They came to install helmets after the holiday (4th of July) and it was Eddie himself who did the work that day! Very efficient, no mess left and the gutters look and work great. We were able to pick a color other than white which matched our house trim perfectly. Would highly recommend. This review is long over due, sorry Eddie.

Eddie and his team were great! We received several estimates from other companies and Eddies was the most reasonable and also he was the most responsive to any inquiries we had(which is just as important as money when you are working with contractors). I spoke with him on Friday the 10th and told him we would like to hire him, he was there the next week with a whole crew and had the job done in less than 4 hours. Job looks professional and everything was cleaned up when they were done. 2 nights later had a major storm come through and it was great to see all the water diverted from the house! Would definately hire again!

In June of 2014, I purchased a Big Deal for gutter cleaning for $99. Owner Eddie Contreras quickly replied and made a home visit. We discussed the cost of repair, in addition to cleaning, because I knew the gutters were clogged. He quoted me an additional cost of $99 for the repair. I asked very specific questions, since I did not want the work done until after the fall leaves were all down and I knew the coupon would be good only through 12/12/14. I have a huge silver maple in my yard and leaves are never down until the 3rd week in November. So I asked if they would they be able to clean them, in late November, early December? Are they busy at that time of the year? How much notice notice would they need? Eddie assured me that he saw no problem at all with future cleaning at that time; no, they're not overly busy and that they can usually accommodate a request such as this within 48 - 72 hours. Eddie did explain that the weather would have to cooperate, meaning no ice in the gutters or on the roof that would hamper flow of water, but barring unusually harsh conditions, he could schedule. I called Eddie around the 3rd week in November and understood that I was on his schedule, and again, he didn't foresee any problems with getting this done before winter set in. I called again a couple of weeks after that - still, they would get my work done. I was getting nervous by that time because I knew the gutters were clogged and finally I called Angie's List to see about a refund of my $99. They explained (rightly so) that they would not refund the money, but it could be applied towards a different Big Deal if I so chose. I talked with Eddie again and he said that they would still honor the coupon, and they would come out next year (2015) to do the work for the price quoted. In April, 2015, I was pleasantly surprised that Eddie called to ask if I was ready to get the work scheduled. Of course I was not, because the maple seedlings had not started coming down yet. No point in cleaning in April and getting clogged back up again in May, right? So we left it that I would call him when I was ready. Around June 22nd we talked and I wanted to schedule a date. He said he would call a day or two before he was coming here. I tried to pin him down . . . 48 -72 hours? A week? Not much success with that. But he did call on July 13 and said he could be there the next day, between 12:00 and 2:00, so I was happy to accommodate him. Eddie and his brother Ray came on time, cleaned the gutters (there were tons of small maple trees growing in there!), cleared the clogs in the downspout and hammered nails back in to repair the gutters, assuring me they would hold now for years to come. The actual length of time working was approximately 15 minutes so $200 seems like a lot to pay. However, I have no idea what the going rate is around here so it could be a fair price. I found Eddie and his brother to be very polite, friendly, professional and responsive, except (and this is a big "EXCEPT") for the delay late last year. He told me it was due to the weather, but there were definitely many days that he could have done the work, if he had chosen to give my small job any priority. Since I had been totally clear about my expectations from the beginning, I do think he misled me by indicating he could be there in 48 - 72 hours. In retrospect, I should have asked: "OK, but how likely is it that you WILL be here in 48 - 72 hours?!" He's a business man and is just trying to do the best he can. I get that.

I bought a big deal for this service and it was okay. There was not anything great and it was a little expensive. The workers were great, fine. I spent about $300 above the price of the deal. I did not expect it to be so expensive and I am a senior citizen so that did not help any because I am limited. So far the gutter seems fine. There have not been any bad storms to bring it down. They were right here when they said they would be.
