Very disappointed. Mr. sicko completed the job in one day, as promised. However, the finish left on the tub was dull and very rough. After one month of use and cleaning with non-abrasive cleanser, as instructed, we called mr sicko to come for a revisit, mainly because the tub drain he installed would not allow water to stay in the tub. While he was here, I asked him about the rough finish, and explained that the surface was not only dull and rough, but that every time the tub was used, it held dirt like a magnet and had to be cleaned. Even before having the "reglazing" it was not that bad! He offered an unsatisfactory explanation for the finish, and then told me the tub hadn't been reglazed,actually, so I couldn't expect the finish to be smooth and shiny. Long story short, I am sorry I had this work done, and would not recommend it to others. He said he would contact the manufacturer of the product he used come to the house to inspect it. I told him that I would like that. That was two weeks ago, and I haven't heard a word. Enough said!

Terrible scrath marks are visible from where they sanded, pit marks on side walls of enclosure, areas were missed when applying new finish. Did not properly protect new bathroom vanity or storage unit. Overspray everywhere, scrathes in new vanity top from them trying to clean up their mess. Called him back said he would come back this was over two months ago. As you can see from the photos scratches, pit marks, globs of paint.

The repair was professionally done and at a very reasonable price. Will definitely recommend to a friend or relative.

The work was perfect. The tub now has a smooth pristine white finish with an invisible skid free application on the floor of the tub. The entire surround also was caulked perfectly. The work was completed within 4 hours. Keeping the window open and the use of a box fan dealt with any fumes, which were completely gone after the first 36 hours. It has been several weeks since the work was completed, and everything still looks amazing.

Ralph Sicko responded to my call immediately and scheduled an appointment for an estimate within 2 days. Upon arrival Ralph put me at ease with regard to the extent of the damage to the 1st floor bathtub wall. This is an income property built in the early 1950's and I was nervous that the entire bathtub was going to need to be ripped out. Ralph was clear with how he would approach the job. He explained that he would go up the wall as far as the damage went and replace that section only. Since the entire bathtub area did not need to be replaced I decided to have Ralph look at the 2nd floor bathtub that just needed a re-grout & re-caulk. Ralph was clear that cost would depend on how damaged the 1st floor wall was and sent me an estimate that evening outlining exactly the costs that he discussed in-person. We accepted the estimate and scheduled the job. Ralph and Mike showed up on-time and worked simultaneously on the 1st and 2nd floors. The 2nd floor was complete in 1 day. The next day Ralph and Mike came back to finish the 1st floor together and the entire job was complete in 1.5 days. The job areas were cleaned when they finished and the final bill was extremely reasonable. I would absolutely use Capital District Tub Refinishing again and would highly recommend to anyone who needs either repair or refinishing work in their bathtub area.

They arrived promptly, set up everything they needed, and went to work. It is amazing how great it looks. The tub went from a clouded over ruby finish, to a shiny new reflective finish. Total time was less than four hours, quoted price was exact price charged. They cleaned up everything, so it looks like it did before they came in the house. I'd highly recommend the company.

We love this guy! He did a remarkable job. It looks beautiful, and like a brand new Tub! I told him I will stare it for a long time. I hated the blue Tub and tile in our 2nd bathroom remodel. 1970's house 3 baths one pink, one blue and another pea green...yuck! Pink one was gutted, blue one refinished. Refinishing saved us thousands. He was on time, great communication, even gave us a military discount. I liked him so much plan to use this company for other jobs in future. Took him and his partner 4 hours to complete, everything was left clean, smell was terrible (we were warned). They vented out a window while they sprayed. He gave a warranty and directions on how to care for it.

Very prompt. All communication was done thru Angies List. The entire experience was a delightful one. I was overwhelmed, how well the old rusty tub came out. I also received a 10% discount, for going thru Angies List. $360 out of pocket. I would highly recommend, this contractor.

I called Mr. Sicko to have my porcelain tub refinished. Both he and his wife were very friendly and knowledgeable .They quoted me a price that I thought was fair for the job. Mr. Sicko arrived the day of the appointment on time and prepared with drop cloths to protect my home. He did a wonderful job refinishing my tub. It looks like brand new. He also removed my existing shower doors and put them back on the next day. I would recommend him highly.

I called and spoke to the owners wife to make an appointment. She fit me in sooner than expected because we were in the process of putting our house up for sale and wanted our bathtub finished before it went on the market. On the day of the appointment, the owner and an additional worker arrived on time. They laid down drop cloth from my front door, up the stairs into my bathroom. The bathroom doorway was also sealed off with plastic. The entire process took just a few hours and my tub came out amazing! I wish I would've done it years ago. The owner returned the next day to do the non-skid finish on the bottom. He was running a little late because he had another job in the morning, but I received calls keeping me updated of when he'd arrive. Their work is guaranteed for 3 years and when I needed him to come back and fix one issue (due to my own fault), he was there the next day and in and out in less than 5 minutes. I highly recommend this company and plan on using them again in a new home we're purchasing.

Ralph Sicko the owner, refinished my blue bathtub and tile to white and it looks brand new. I could not of asked for nicer people to work with. I absolutely would hire again and already have told him he will be doing my other bathroom. Without a doubt the best. Do not hesitate to hire, excellent job and clean up.

They are wonderful. They are fantastic. He came back to make sure it was right. Several thing weren't quite right. He came back with no charge. They're the best contractor we've ever had. I would highly recommend them. Overall, they're an A++. Their professionalism is way on top. I would definitely use them in the future. This was a very pleasant experience.

.My tub looks just like new. Mr Silko arrived on time, worked efficiently, neatly and professionally. The tub was glazed and a non-skid surface was applied. The entire experience was so professional and there was no mess. Everything was nice and clean when it was finished. This company was so efficient and friendly from the time I contacted them to the time it was finished. I would call them again in a minute.

Called the phone number and spoke to the owners wife.We discussed what I wanted done and after some discussion she quoted the price for reglazing and adding a slip resistant bottom.I agreed to the price and she scheduled my job for February 15th at 9:00 A.M.On February 15th the owner and his helper showed up right at 9:00 A.M.They covered all the floors and stairs from the foyer to the second floor bath with drop cloths and started to work.After prepping the tub they applied the new finish and they were done inabout 4 hours.The color was changed from beige to white to match our new tile.The next day they returned to complete the no slip bottom finish which took about an hour. The owner gave me a detailed invoice and written warranty which detailed how to care for the finish and things to be carefull of. I was very impressed by the professional manner which everything was done and the care they gave to protecting our house and floors.We were doing the bath over on a tight budget and ripping out a sound cast iron tub with all the accompanying mess was not how we choose to go.The tub looks beautiful now and with following the care instructions should last for some time.The only thing that might be a problem for some people is the strong residual odor following the process.With ventilation it disipated in a day or so.All in all a very positive experience with this company and a good recommendation.
