I needed to improve the look of my apartment because I moved away and needed to sell. During the bidding process, I basically handed him a blank check to tell me what he thought needed to be performed since I was not in the area. He came to be with an extremely reasonable plan and executed ahead of schedule. My real estate agent said that the end product is a luxury feel. I did not rank professionalism because my interactions were very limited, but he was courteous on the phone.

I've employed painters of various qualities and skill levels. There are painters who may have started doing this kind of work last year and who can slap on a new coat of paint to spruce something up for you, there are painters like Eldin on the TV show Murphy Brown who are good, but they take forever and you think they've moved in and become part of your family. And then there are true professional craftsmen whose craft happens to be painting. I found Tim Cahoon to be such a craftsman. If you have a home in which you have made a substantial investment and you want to maintain that investment, or you are trying to turn a home into something worthy of Better Homes and Gardens, Tim Cahoon is definitely the person you want to hire. He has been doing this a long time and he takes great pride in his work. A goodly portion of his labor is prepping the areas to be painted. You can be assured that the areas he paints for you will look as-new or better once he is finished. I thought his fee was reasonable for the quality of his work. If you are looking for someone to do your painting on the cheap, he's probably not the guy you want to call.
