Description of Work: I contacted business owner Frank Laurich over three weeks ago to have my chimney chase cover replaced. To date he is "too busy" to start the job and has given me no start date for the project. I have waited patiently while my chimney continues to drip water into my basement. I can wait no longer. I am thoroughly disgusted and don't know why Angie's List even has contractors like this on their website. I will now have to start the process of finding a new contractor all over again and hope that there is no permanent damage to my fireplace due to Mr. Laurich not being able to provide the services he advertises on your website.

Description of Work: The cap on the chimney, which was very rusted, was replaced with a stainless steel cap. Frank also worked to remove the rust stains on the roof from the old cap without any additional charge. I am satisfied with the work and would call American Fireplace again.

+ -1 moreI have been using this chimney service for 20 years. I always feel confident that everything is in excellent working condition after Frank has serviced the chimney and stove. Over the years, he has done several repairs starting with a chimney liner, to replacing the sealer on the doors. He always returns calls, schedules a prompt visit and CALLS if he is going to be late! He is fastidious in his work and puts down tarps and wears covers on his shoes while in the house. He listens when you explain a problem and will let you know if he has found a problem. Being a relatively new member on Angie's List, I am happy to recommend this Company to anyone who is looking for reliable, dependable and meticulous service.

Description of Work: Frank cleaned the chimney - including the glass doors and the bricks in front of the hearth. He also told me the mortar on the chimney near the roof was almost gone (not sure I got that exactly right), and he fixed it. He brought me down a piece of the fallen mortar to show me what he meant.
