After two years being here I have tackled a number of mistakes. Not to make a long story the latest was the windows. The windows were UL approved but the frames and installation are not. Cold air comes around the frames. Causing ice and shades rattling. An window contractor came and did an audit. He showed me the areas of the windows where cold air comes in. It must of been a cheap day to buy windows when they built this home. Now I have the expense to replace them all at my expense. Since not the experience I expected with a new home.

Constant delays in construction, from the cellar to the installation of the lawn. I didn't know there could be so many excuses. 1. Contractor forgot to install the entry door in the garage, had to notify them after framing, and they had to cut out the masonry and try to fix. I had to go back after I moved to seal the door 2. Shower installed incorrectly (it was 2 feet short), one of my wife's very specific detailed requirements that we paid extra for. Had to tear out the shower and re-install, delayed another 2-3 weeks 3. Furnace vents FILLED with debris: sheetrock, nails, bits of wood. I had requested removal of this, as furnace was running during construction, and kept blowing dust all over the house. Took 3 tries to clean them, and only after the walk through for final inspection, did I have to pull the chunks of material that had been "cleaned" 4. Vents for bathroom fans did not have a grill over outside exhaust (only one in development that did not, checked each house), and birds build a nest in the vent. Six months after the fact, they finally came and changed out the exhaust vent, but never pulled the nest or dead chicks from the line, I had to do it. 5. Paid substantial $$$ for rock surface on front of house, had damaged rocks from the first day we moved in (February of 2016). Have contacted JMG more than a dozen times, promises it will get fixed, still waiting as of this writing (December 30th, 2016). 6. Road floods due to poor drainage, JMG has come to the home twice to "fix" the drain. Moved dirt around, but saw no difference. I need to have boots on to go to my mailbox, sometimes 9-10" of standing water the entire length of my road frontage. There are many more as well, but I could spend all day. Bottom line: it is a quality house, but their responsiveness and service are the worst that I have ever seen, personally, and totally took the enjoyment of building your "dream home" into a constant fight to stand up for your rights.
Description of Work: Contracted a new home to be built in JMG development. Did this in collusion with Coldwell Bankers (Mike Asterino was the real estate agent).
