+ -1 moreMy mother was an existing customer and her heat went out. They say they have 24/7 emergency service. After two phone calls Saturday night and 2 phone calls and an e-mail Sunday morning. They phoned back, were rude on the phone and said we would have to find someone else. They left us without heat overnight only to tell us to find someone else in the morning.
Description of Work: Provider did nothing.

+ -1 moreThen moment they found out I called another HVAC company they stopped returning phone calls and told me they no longer could service the unit . The other company was recommended by the maker of my system . They were a certified dealer and repair company . I was so disappointed that I had trusted them to have integrity, only to find out they are dishonest. I feel betrayed that I recommended them and gave hem multiple referrals
Description of Work: I had given this company an A for exceptional service , only to find out I had been scammed. Three years after I had Hometown Heating install a new furnace and air conditioner I had to call another company for recurring issues they were not able to fix. $1200 later I found out that the units were not installed properly. There was a massive coolant leak that Hometown never mentioned even though they had "serviced" the unit one day before another company came out. The unit kept blowing fuses only to be told they didn't know what the problem was. While I had a sick relative staying with us, the air conditioner broke for the 4th time in 6 weeks, and I was told that air conditioning not working isn't considered an "emergency " and they refused to return phone calls. The temp was 100 outside . The other company fixed the coolant leak and grounded the unit properly , and I haven't had an issue since. I had to pay someone else to fix their mistakes . Horrible business .

Description of Work: We had them give us an estimate to replace the furnace, air conditioner, humidifier, clean ducts & replace two rusted ducts. Their was nothing wrong with them, we just decided to go with Charles One Hour because they had a better price for exactly the same thing.

+ -1 moreI had used Hometown Heating in the past for minor issues in my old home and they were always great. I called them once on a Sunday when my furnace wasn't working, and they came right out, fixed the problem and barely charged me anything. I recently bought a home, and they came out to check the current furnance. There were no major issues, except that it was the original and expensive to run. He gave me some suggestions and recommendations, and I inquired about installing new equipment. He told me he would write up an estimate and mail it out to me. I had the estimate in less than a week, and he presented a few different options. I called to talk it over with them, and they got right back to me to answer any questions I had. I can't say enough good things about this company. They are honest, hardworking, and very committed to providing the best service to their customers.
