Wonderfully - it was amazing how well John translated what I explained into a very nice-looking, manicured yard. John's crew worked quickly, neatly, cleaned up as necessary - I would hire he and his crew in an instantly. I also would recommend him very highly.

John Stewart and his crew are a top-notch bunch - all of them very experienced, polite, and friendly. At his initial visit, John listened to my ideas, then gave me some suggestions, which I took, that added a lot of visual interest and elegance to the job. During the installation of a raised garden bed, expansion of another bed, edging and installing an area of river rock, edging and mulching around 7 trees, removal of 3 bushes and planting of a lilac, and leveling and seeding with grass in several places, John and members of his crew checked with me often to make sure I liked what they were doing. They worked quickly and efficiently - they were done in one day - and I was absolutely delighted by the end result. Frankly, it looked much better than I had imagined. I have another big project or two to do in this yard and will call Chittenango Landscape to do it. I have already recommended this company to friends and will not hesitate to recommend them whenever I can.

Chittenango Landscape did 2 weed and feed applications. One in early summer and one in late Summer. I did research on the 8 different types of weeds I had and there was no one weed killer that would kill all without killing my grass. I tried a few applications myself from Lowes in 2014 and 2015 and it did little. Called John who came over and gave estimate and said I would not be disappointed. And I wasn't The cost was only 1/3 of what the estimate Tru Green gave me a few years before. Planning to use again in 2017 but will start in Spring and do 4 treatments to kill all the seasonal weeds.

It couldn't have gone better. All work was done in a day every inch was cleaned up and all debris removed. John is the kindest. easiest person you could ever want to work with.

There's not much to say. John plowed the driveway effectively all winter. Much better than my previous guy who charged exactly the same. I think John came out about 20 times this year, so it worked out to about $20 a plow. Really reasonable in my opinion. I never had to call him or ask him to come out, he came out on his own every time. He also planted stakes on the driveway. AND - it looks like the "plow damage" on the grass is much less this year than my previous guy. So, thats a plus. Hard to avoid it with the way my driveway is, but I'll appreciate not planting as much seed this spring to regrow in that area.

Other tree services wanted to bring in a crane at large cost. Some others never called back. John did what he said that he would do.

Very professional; timely; good responsiveness; did exactly what we wanted. We ARE hiring them again or future work.

John came promptly at the appointed time to give an estimate. I'd called 2-3 other companies; some didn't respond at all, one said they'd send somebody, but never did even after I called to follow up, one other came but gave a higher price and wasn't as responsive about incidentals. (John threw in some smaller trees for a low price.) The other company also said they'd have to remove part of my neighbor's fence, as I had a tree growing almost horizontally over it, but John's company took care of it with no issues, and no fence removal. After doing my due diligence, I scheduled the tree removal. John and his crew arrived promptly and completed the job efficiently and cleanly. I was pleased with their service.

They were unable to do work before time I needed it done 7/6/13. They were very professional and were honest enough to tell me that.

Three old trees were cut down by a tree service company, not Chittenango Landscaping. The plot was a mess with weeds growing in it all summer. John thought it best to wait for the new planting until fall because we had such a dry summer. I agreed. The new trees (three of them, each about a foot taller than the original estimate but for which I wasn't charged) arrived and he completed the new bed, including new soil, planting three trees, and mulching out the bed in one day. He also planted grass around the edge because the new bed is slightly smaller than the old one had been. John also ripped out a bed of lowing growing evergreen ground cover growing next to my front walk and planted 4 magic carpet spirea for me, gratis. Next year, I will pay for him to come early in the spring and finish this bed with more topsoil, mulch and a couple of other bushes.

Even though they were not the original landscapers they came over and did a meticulous job of fixing everything up. The people who came out and their quality of work were excellent. The owner named John is extremely personable and he himself does a lot of the work even though he employees other people. He is extremely meticulous about what he does. I would use them again in the future.

I have used them for years. They are very competent and prompt. They are expensive but they are good. I would definitely continue to use their services again in the future.

Many in my neighborhood also use this locally owned company. My lawn looks great. I have used them for over 5 years.

John Stewart is great to work with, he was very nice and had a quote to us in a timely manner. Our lawn looked great and we are planning on having him come back next year.

They do snow removal but would not drive the 8 miles to plow my driveway. They might be fine for lawn work.

John Stewart is the owner. We've also had him out to help with trees, cut them down and braid them up. Only for the yard I pay around $800 yearly. He also cut a couple of trees down and moved quite a bit of underbrush and that was $1000 which was very good for what they did. They are extremely reliable and their pricing is honest. Their overall professionalism is superior. John usually is here when they are doing it or comes by as they are doing it so he's very much hand's on himself.

Everything with the service went well. We were happy with their work. They are very punctual. They stick to their estimate. They do good quality work. They are very knowledgeable. They charged $1500 for drainage and $90 for lawn service. I would use them in the future.

In all areas, John has proven to be a true professional - knowledgeable of plant specimens, courteous, reliable, timely in responding to inquiries, in completion of work and thorough in clean up. His competence and trust worthiness are immensely appreciated values, considering I lived 500 miles away and was rarely present when the actual work was done. Price-wise, Chittenango Landscape may be a tad higher than some, but our delight with the eye-pleasing end product and knowledge of a job well-done, has been well worth the extra cost. EX: Pruning large smoke tree in 2010, $120. Weeding, replacing 4 shrubs, laying 3" of mulch in 2008, $800.

Their quality is excellent. They are very punctual and do not need any reminders. They are very knowledgeable and professional. We have been using them for 2 years or more. I would definitely recommend them. The price listed above is for the entire year.

They did not do anything for me, but they called me back. I found out that they had been cleaning my sister's driveway for free for years. I wanted them to come and clean up the stuff on her property and they said it was too much and they couldn't do it, but they would continue to do the driveway for free. My sister would not be able to afford it. He was very pleasant on the phone and the things that I wanted to have done were more than they were able to do. He was very polite. He has been doing gratis work plowing my sister's driveway out in the wintertime and they have horrible winters. He has been doing that for over 10 years. I felt badly when I did not know that that's who that was. When I spoke to him, he told me who he was and what he did. My sister had told me about him, but I didn't know what the company name was. He was very positive as far as customer relations. He was willing to do the work but she was not able to afford it. His professionalism is above and beyond. He never came to my house, but all I know is that every time it snows, he is the first one that has her driveway cleaned. My nephew is 15 years old now and his father died when he was 4, so he has been doing it for 11 years. I was willing to pay for it and have it done. He said it was too much dealing with the stuff on my sister's property. She has a lot of stuff and that had to be removed from the property before he could even start the landscaping. That was the reason he couldn't do it and I couldn't get my sister to move the stuff. This gentleman is so concerned with the people in the community that when someone has trouble, he will do things that will provide services for them gratis for 11 years. I am overwhelmed when she tells me about him doing all that. When I found out that he was the person I was calling I couldn't say anything. What can you say when a person does all that from the goodness of his heart. You know the kind of work he would do for a person that couldn't even afford it. He would give the same kind of treatment for someone else satisfaction. He was caring. He was that way over the phone with me also when he found out who I was.

This company was professional and prompt. They stayed committed to the end and the results are great. We are please with their work and service and I will use them again in the future.

They seemed to be knowledgeable, responsible, and easy to deal with. The principal guy is John Stewart. I have dealt with him personally. He represents his company very well. I would definitely hire him again.
