The gentleman has taken a lot of time and been extremely patient with me. If things had been a little bit different I might have considered trying him out on, maybe, a small project to see the quality of his work and then go from there. He gave us estimates twice. Once we were looking at using him on the actual roof and he gave us a quote on either shingles or metal. Then I had him come back and go through the whole entire job while I was here because previously I was not at the first meeting with him. He went over our options and discussed about the shingles versus the metal roofing. He was extremely patient and had contacted me several times afterwards and I just let him know that at this time we had to put things on hold. If we do revisit this I told him he would definitely be number one that I contact because of the way he dealt with the situation although we had not gone with him. He was knowledgeable and thorough. At first he showed up with kind of a beat up pick up truck which was kind of a mess so the first impression kind of put me off, but after talking with him he was extremely thorough. He actually got up on the roof and took a look at it which none of the other people we talked to had done. He actually measured it correctly instead of just eyeballing it and giving me a ballpark figure. He does all of the work himself although his wife sometimes helps him out on the jobs. However, most of the time he does all of the work himself so a house our size it probably would take him a little bit being as he is the only worker. With our weather patterns through the area it could possibly present some issues with him being the only worker. I thought he was a lot better than people who pulled up in brand new trucks and everything.
