+ -1 moreIt exceeded my expectations. Bob completely dis-assembled the 30 foot chimney & not only replaced the spacers, he also welded the three foot sections into one complete assembly, making it completely leakproof. Better than the original ! I would recommend him for complicated welding jobs especially in stainless steel.
Description of Work: In 2009 when cleaning my 12 inch triple wall stainless steel chimney, it was found that the spacers that align the three foot sections were almost completely gone. The chimney sections had therefor shifted apart allowing smoke, soot & creosote to leak out everywhere, making it un-usable. A new 12 inch triple wall was over $2,000 plus installation. I went to Bob' Welding, and was impressed with both the quality & layout of his work. He was very thorough in planning how the project would be done, so there were no mistakes made. We agreed on a price, which saved me well over $1,000 for a new chimney and the job was done to perfection and on time. Fabricating the new alignment rings required a close tolerance to maintain the integrity of the triple wall. Bob did it to perfection. A really fine welding job.
