Summary: Total Custom Cleaning did a lot of work for us, some good, some poor but the lack of professionalism (including being told, "I don't give a sh-t what happens next.") made this one of the most frustrating relationships in my life. His lack of response and follow-through ends the relationship with outstanding issues such as the lack of a bill of sale and partial repair of damage to my baseboard. I would never have Rob (owner of Total Custom Cleaning) back to my house. This relationship started in April with (and I agree with the other reviewer) a visit from Rob who is quite the salesman. The first problem was the sealing of the grout which left slick spots so bad that I slipped and almost fell (and I have a bad back so I was lucky). To his credit, Total Custom Cleaning came to fix it the next day. Unfortunately, there were sneaker marks left and I couldn't get them out. Another visit to fix that didn't work even as I called them as they were leaving to tell them that the dried area still had sneaker marks (and I even told them during the visit that they were making the matter worse as I could see more sneaker marks). They wouldn't come back and I had to make another appointment for them to come back again to remove the marks. Frustrating. After cleaning the blinds and not removing the paint. Rob said he would replace the blinds at cost (he said he would only charge $100 instead of $200 for the cleaning but since he was willing to sell the replacement at cost I didn't bring up this fact and let him keep the $200). However, the replacement didn't fit even though it was the upgraded model which fit perfectly. He replaced the top endcaps which made the top fit but the bottom still didn't fit. He said he would get the smaller endcaps for the bottom. If the top fit and the bottom was off by millimeters it meant the wall was slightly crooked but the previous blinds fit! This is where everything went badly with numerous calls over the next several weeks requesting a bill of sale and the endcaps resulted in numerous promises of faxing the bill of sale over that evening or that the endcaps were ordered, etc. In the end, he never could produce the bill of sale and told me there were no endcaps. I have documented the phone calls (too numerous to list here) and the comments he made to me including telling me at one point that he didn't need to send the bill of sale since I have the bill of sale! His lack of response often left me frustrated since he wouldn't return calls. In the end, he admitted that I didn't have the bill of sale and that he couldn't give me one because he wasn't an authorized dealer. If I would have known, I wouldn't have purchased from him. His sealant machine damaged the corner of my baseboard. They partially repaired but never finished that. I will have to pay someone to finish it. The lack of response included not showing for an appointment forcing me to stay home all day waiting. In the end, I am currently following up with Hunter Douglas since Total Custom Cleaning is an authorized cleaner of Hunter Douglas and where I got his company name so that I can get a bill of sale. In addition, Hunter Douglas doesn't understand why my warranty would be voided if I got the shades cut (Rob told me it voided the warranty).
Description of Work: Clean blinds (then sold me replacement when cleaning didn't work) Repair and clean oriental rugs Seal grout in tile
It was the worst experience of my life. The person in charge of the whole "business" could sell you the world. I called many places for the services I needed to be done. He seemed like the best person for the job and I even convinced my husband that.Boy was I wrong! He was supposed to come on wed. and didnt show and gives some lame excuse he then comes the next day way later then he was supposed to. The work was a disaster. He ruined my floor and had to pay loads of money for someone else to fix it. my cushions came back dirty and one was left in the "shop" for months now just got it back. the carpets were wet for about a week which made the whole house smell like a wet dog and the drapes are torn. And he never took responsiblity for any of this!
Description of Work: I had my tile , carpet , drapes, and cushions for my patio set cleaned.

Excellent services - and strong professionalism. Rob is excellent to deal with, and very knowledgeable on the Drapery Cleaning business - particularly Hunter Douglas drapes!
Description of Work: I was provided drapery cleaning services by Rob Colon, Total Custom Cleaning, via a referral from Fantastic Windows, to clean my Hunter Douglas Drapes. Rob began the work on-site, but after seeing the level of cleaning required, as a result of my daily candle burning, herecommended that he take the drape in to his cleaning facility. (My drapes had not been cleaned since installed in 2000). Rob and his team scheduled a return date 2 days later - and they delivered. My Hunter Douglas drapes (Roman Shades) are beautiful again!
Everything went well. The owner, Rob Colon, is a pleasure to deal with. The 8 X 10 wool area rug had to be removed from the premise in order to be properly cleaned and dried. It has since been returned. The upholstery, including the chairs and couches, looks like new and the luminette blinds back to their original color. It was the first time I had had my leather couches conditioned (they are 6 years old) and the leather is again soft and supple. A coffee stain on the master bedroom carpet was challenging to remove, but Ron brought tannin remover when he returned to deliver the area rug. I'm convinced there's no reason why carpeting and upholstery can't continue to look like new, as long as it's regularly cleaned.
Description of Work: I had wall-wall carpeting, area rugs, fabric blinds, and upholstery cleaned. In addition to cleaning my leather couches, they were conditioned.
Hunter Douglas recommends that only someone who has been "certified" by the company clean the Luminette Privacy Sheers. Due to the fact they are an expensive product, it was important for me to hire a contractor who was familiar with the blinds. The blinds have never been cleaned (after many years) and were more tan than off-white in color. When I contacted the company, I was informed that they also clean draperies, carpeting and upholstery. Due to the fact I also needed bedroom carpets cleaned, I was thrilled I wouldn't have to hire another contractor. The blinds now look like new and the carpets are clean. He even managed to remove an oil stain from one of my off-white upholstered chairs.
Description of Work: I hired the contractor to clean my Luminette blinds, a product of Hunter Douglas. In addition to cleaning the blinds, the company cleaned 2 bedroom carpets and a stain on my upholstery.
