Exterior Door - Was not fit properly; the locks do not engage properly. They came three times to adjust, but the locks still do not work properly. Storm Door - They delivered and installed a door with the wrong color. Upon complaint,. they came back with a door with the right color but the wrong size. Doors were promised in six weeks. Took about four months. We kept calling to find out what was happening and they never answered our calls until the Better Business Bureau intervened on our behalf. In the end, even the Better Business Bureau could not help us: Elegant Entries sent the Better Business Bureau a letter inviting us to lie to the Internal Revenue Service in order to get Elegant Entries to finish the work. This is a dishonest merchant. Do not use them under any circumstance.

I experienced nothing but constant aggravation since April 10, 2008, when we placed our order. An order that was supposed to take 8-12 weeks to arrive and be installed, took 6 and a half months for the product just to come into the warehouse. In that time, the customer service representatives were dismissive of my inquiries requesting the status of my $4200 order - I was lucky if I could get a return phone call, and when I did, they were rude. I was always extremely polite and courteous to whomever I did get to speak with on the phone as I recognized the 'problems' I was experiencing with the order were not their fault - However, what I received in return was a nasty attitude and a "that's not my job" response. I am not exaggerating when I say it took me months to speak to someone who agreed to 'help' me. When the door finally arrived and was ready for installation my husband took the day off from work to have this done. The representative came to our home a half hour late, removed our old wood door and glass/screen door, installed the new steel door with custom glass - and then realized that the new glass/screen door on the truck was a standard square door. He told my husband he would have to rush order the round top door and he 'didn't know how long it would take.' I understand mistakes are made. But they didn't just put the wrong door on the truck that day, they didn't HAVE the door at all! I finally wrote to the president of the company, he called me back and gave us $500 off the price of the door. Being that I had already made MONTHS of phone calls regarding our issues, and the workmanship was so terrible, I was not at all satisfied by this outcome, but being a brand new homeowner, didn't think there was much else I could do other than never reccommend the company. It took another 3 weeks for the screen door. During that time I called (again to no avail) to complain that they installed this brand new $4200 door on the old, rotting, peeling frame. I could not get anyone to respond to this. I had to call and have someone come out to fix the insulation as it was not installed correctly, the door did not lock correctly (and even though 'fixed' still does not work correctly) and the paint was peeling from the door. I had to call again when we attempted to switch out the glass for the screen. The screen they gave us was too small. The doors have now been installed for less than 3 years - the door is completely faded, it doesn't lock smoothly, and the poor installation job is becoming more and more obvious with each passing month. We have to replace the door again. A complete waste of money and time. The thought of ever attempting to make a call to this company again infuriates me. - I am 100% positive I am better off spending the money all over again. THAT is how bad this experience was.

They told me you had rotten wood casings and we couldn't install new windows with rotten casings, they told us it would take a day or less to install 12 or 13 new windows. They said the installer would contact us and he did, and reinserted all the windows again and said he would call us when the windows are in. Then he comes over with some guy who couldn't speak any English and ripped every single window in the house, and goes and gets the windows and puts the windows in the house, and they were short one window and he would be back tomorrow and he does. Then he puts one window in crooked, and didn't put any insulation in ETC. ETC. It was an over very bad experience.

All went well. Order arrived within estimated 4-6 weeks allowed time, and installers arrived and completed the job as scheduled.

What was in the showroom is not what they bring to your home.

MY PICTURE WINDOWS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL! THE PRETTY COLORS BRING OUT THE ELEGANCE IN MY LIVING ROOM FURNITURE. I RECEIVE COMMENTS DAILY ON HOW PRETTY MY WINDOWS ARE. THE SERVICE WAS GREAT AND THE COST WAS REASONABLE.
