Nick responded to our initial call. I had received recommendation from neighbor and then found him on Angie?s list. Came a day or so later, gave us an estimate. It seems like quite a lot of money to take down a tree - but then when they came and he had 5 other guys with him, plus woodchipper, chainsaws etc, it seems quite reasonable. Nick was polite, honest, not pushy. We would definitely recommend.

I had used Nick several years ago and was happy with the service. I recently called him for a quote to remove a substantial tree that is on my property but leaning over my neighbor's. My neighbors are pressuring me to take it down, and I'm concerned about liability if we don't. Amazingly it held up during Hurricane Sandy. Nick was very responsive, scheduled a prompt appointment and was on time. His price was much higher than I had been quoted (by my neighbor's tree service) but he did give me good advice about where I stand with liability, insurance etc. which was much appreciated. He's a good person, honest, and nice to deal with. I'm just surprised his price was so high. I have decided to use my neighbor's tree service because the price is so much lower, and if there are any problems, they can't complain.

I highly recommend Nick and his crew. I interviewed a few tree companies and price-wise, Nick was right in the middle. I had received a lower quote for the same job, but I went with Nick (and waited for Nick) because of his personality and the great reviews which, incidentally, aren?t always spot on. But, when it comes to a job like this, you don?t have much more to go on other than price, personality and, in this case, some reviews. Nick had come out early one morning to provide an estimate and I liked the fact that he was able to provide the estimate at the time of the appointment. He was on time, pleasant, courteous and I just had a good feeling about him. He wasn?t pushy or arrogant and he seemed honest and just an all-around nice guy. I pretty much knew right away that I wanted him for the job and we scheduled him to come out a couple of weeks later, but then Sandy hit and we got pushed back on the schedule. Understandably, he had to address the emergencies first. At one point, I almost called someone else who could come out sooner, but then I thought about it and said ?he?s probably worth the wait? and I?m glad I waited. The day had finally come and I was so excited to see their trucks roll up. He arrived with his crew and they set to work immediately. We still can?t get over how quickly these guys get up into those trees like it?s nothing and just start cutting away. I do wish they had left us a little firewood, but I think he had forgotten I had mentioned that on the day of our appointment. Not a big deal, especially after seeing how they left the property ? it was like they weren?t even there (with the exception of some happily missing trees and limbs). They do a great job cleaning up and they were professional and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Nick is now our go-to ?tree guy.? It is so nice when you hire someone as a result of reading ?rave? reviews on Angie?s List and realize the reviews are actually accurate.

We've been meaning to write this for while and in light of Sandy we decided it was time. Nick and team provided an extremely professional service for a very reasonable price. Our trees needed a lot work after Irene and the Halloween storm of 2011. Nick took the time to walk our property with us and made recommendations on what should be done. The trees stood up to Sandy very well. We suffered very, very little damage from this storm and could only imagine how much damage Sandy would have caused if we hadn't engaged Nick and team. We highly recommend Nick's Tree Service.

Excellent. Showed up 15 mins before they were supposed. Completely professional, courteous and efficient. Cleaned up like they were never even there.

I was happy with the job they did, but Nick himself didn't show, but an assistant came over to do it. It was a very tricky job because it was right next to a building and it was a huge maple tree that was 60 to 70 feet tall. They seemed very professional, and they worked as a team to get the job done.

Nick's Tree Service he came out to do an estimate and I was really pleased with the price. And he just seemed like a reasonable, nice human being. I will be using him.

He was very responsive and he did a good job; he cleaned up after himself.

They are excellent. I can’t recommend them enough, and they were fabulous. It’s a small company, and Nick comes in and supervises the work, and it’s a local company not a nationwide company, but they are really good. The price is excellent, and they give excellent work, and I get a written fixed price estimate, and truly I can’t say enough about them, and they are truly A+. They are really outstanding. They have been really careful, and they did a really good job. They cleaned up everything like taking the leaf from the drive way, and it was meticulous work. The work was perfect. He is going to be my tree guy forever.

The job went very well. All the trees were near power lines so the job wasn't cut and dry, but Nick's team did an excellent job of taking them down without any problem. They came right on time, cut up wood for my wood burning stove and even did a little extra work at no cost. Nick is a very friendly guy and knowledgeable about trees. Great to do business with. The price was better than most we quoted but the work was exceptional. We would hire him again if we need any future work done.

We had damage from a big storm which brought down a large sugar maple. These guys were quick to respond and did an awesome job removing the debris and pruning back bad section of the tree to keep it in good health. Knowledgable and professional.

Enter Nick. No machinery ? No problem. Nick?s crew of five did it the old fashioned way, and at a much better price than the competition. In less than two hours the tree was down, the wood stacked and chipped, the dings in the lawn repaired, and you?d never know that anyone was here. Highly recommended.

He is excellent. It was a positive experience. He gave me a good write-up to begin with and he gave me good recommendations. They were on time. It was a big, big job and they did the work in about 1 1/2 days. They cleaned up beautifully at the end. I had no complaints.

Nick responded within a few hours to my voice mail and came out the same day to provide an estimate. Work was performed the following week. Because of his team's workload due to the area storm and a day of rain, Nick had to reschedule our work a few days in a row; but he always called to let me know. He and his crew came the following Thursday and finished the work in one day. Nick did a few additional things for us but kept his price at the original estimate. Nick and his crew did a great job and he was very nice to work with.

Nick called me back the same day that I had left him a message. We scheduled an appt 2 days later (on a Saturday) for him to give me an estimate on the work I was looking for him to perform. He provided me with a written estimate before he left my property. The estimate seemed more than fair and given his punctuality and responsiveness, I felt comfortable with using his company, not to mention the other positive comments written on Angie's List. Nick and his crew came back several days thereafter as promised and removed 5 trees as well as all stumps. The men were proficient, skilled, and cleaned up thoroughly. Overall they did a fantastic job and I am very satisfied with the work performed and will definitely refer them to others.

Their price was reasonable. He actually charged me a little less than what he quoted me. They cleaned everything up.

Larry responded promptly to my initial call. He was delayed by just a few minutes in making that appointment but took the time to pull off the road to call and tell me he would be five minutes late. He has a pleasant manner and is confidence inspiring. A branch had fallen off one of our large trees. Larry looked at the fallen branch and said the tree was in good shape but should be pruned every five years. He explained the rational of removing "suckers" and thinning the crown to present less resistance to the wind. His explanation of what needed made sense. We looked over the property and at my suggestion we included a second slightly smaller but still substantial tree. I pointed to some straggly evergreens that were hanging over the driveway and he graciously said he would trim those without additional charge. Larry faxed me a copy of his insurance coverage the next day. Four men appeared promptly on the appointed day. The supervisor was a young man as pleasant as Larry had been. The tree climber was nimble and self assured. The other two helpers efficiently secured the ropes and removed branches as necessary. The entire four man crew worked seamlessly and efficiently. They continuously cleared and cleaned. They ground the debris as they worked. Before the job was completed Larry arrived as the supervisor had said he would. Larry told me that he took pride that when a job was finished everything would be removed and that looking at the ground it would not be apparent that any tree work had been done. He and his crew did exactly that. My neighbor and I share a line marked by evergreens. One of them had died and I told him I would ask Larry to cut it down if it wasn't over $100. I had forgotten that and mentioned it to Larry just as the men where finishing up, he smiled, said there would be no additional charge and had it down and hauled away in no time flat. I did not check prices ($500 for the very, very large oak; $400 for large one). Considering the time spent - several men, several hours I am sure it is fair and competitive. Considering the highly professional and satisfactory work it was a good deal. I would have no reservation recommending Larry and have already told several neighbors of my positive experience.

NICK ARRIVED AT MY HOME WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD, LOOKED OVER MY PROPERTY WITH ME AND GAVE ME A WRITTEN ESTIMATE. A TRUE PROFESSIONAL, HE DID AN AWESOME JOB AT A FAIR PRICE. IN THIS TOUGH ECONOMY, HOMEOWNERS HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL -- MANY OUT OF WORK MAY CALL THEMSELVES "TREE PROFESSIONALS" BUT NICK WAS THE REAL DEAL. I HAD TRIED A COMPETITOR IN THE AREA, WHO CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY MY GARDENER, AND WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED SO I DO KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT HERE. NICK AND HIS CREW STARTED AND FINISHED THE JOB ON TIME. HE REMOVED SOME VERY OLD, LARGE TREES THAT WERE VERY CLOSE TO THE POWER LINES TO MY HOUSE. NICK WORKED WITH HIS CREW AND I WAS IMPRESSED. GOOD, OLD FASHIONED-SERVICE THAT WE DO NOT SEE ENOUGH OF THESE DAYS ! I WOULD DEFINITELY USE HIM AGAIN. P.S. NICK IS NOT A FRIEND, RELATIVE, ETC. OF MINE -- NEVER LAID EYES ON HIM BEFORE ANGIE'S LIST -- I'M A NEW MEMBER HERE AND HOPE THAT ALL MY EXPERIENCES TURN OUT THIS GREAT !!!

Nick came within a day to quote me a price. Work was completed the following week, which was expected and he told me this in advance. He tried to accommodate the preferred day and would have been there, but it was raining and he felt it was too dangerous due to the tree being too close to the power line. He did come the following day. Pricing was competative but did extras. Was very happy with his professionalism and honesty. Have asked him to quote me another price on another tree.

Nick and his crew were on time, very knowledgeable and efficient. They completed the job in a few hours and left the site clean. The price was very reasonable and we're very satisfied with the work.

I?d only use this company in the future.

Used 5 men who did excellent job in 4 hours. Could not have been more delighted. PS - did get three prices and Nick's Tree Service was the middle price......Used him mainly because he provided me with insurance and was very honest...

Entire process was smooth and coordinated. Actual work took a little more than an hour because he had a large crew.
