After receiving 3 other quotes, Nick's was the reasonable one with insurance and workmen's comp. Arrived on time and crew got started right away. Work completed and fantastic clean up. They even took care of an issue our neighbor had with a tree of his own and did not charge for it. Wow. Very courteous and clear about expectations. This was our second experience. First experience was a larger job a year ago but we always check other quotes and they remain reasonably priced and reliable.

I liked their price, it was very reasonable. They came when they said they would come and they cleaned up very well.

The job went very smoothly, from the estimate to completion. Nick came to give me an estimate when he said he would, and fully complied with my request to be named on his insurance in case anything untold happened during the job. The job went smoothly from start to finish. The foreman fairly accurately estimated the time it would take, and the crew worked diligently and professionally. They had ropes securing the trees, and seemed in control throughout the cut down process. The stumps were bored out, and the ground where the trees had been was restored to level ground, ready for topsoil and grass seed. They even used a blower as a final clean up tool to make sure everything was tidy.

He came when he said he would. He did all the work promised. He was less expensive then other estimates we got and wasn't pushy to get the job.

Nick is a fantastic man that provides honest and professional service. The work was done in a day. He had a large size crew, several trucks and equipment to handle this quite large project including very tall and large trees. Some of the large trees were very close to the house. At end of the day, he removed all wood and cleaned the lawn. He was present and participated in the work during the day. A hard working crew, polite, and considerate. A great find. Highly recommended.

Nick's tree service is great. We had gotten quotes from a number of other services and Nick's prices were the best. They were punctual and they did what they promised and then some. I would recommend Nick to anyone looking to cut down a tree, grind a stump or just clear an area as they do top notch work.

His attitude was really good. He was very rspectful and polite. He went above the call of duty. When I asked his workers to move some large pavers to another side they just did it, they didn't complain or charge me more money, he was very helpful.

Nick and his team did a magnificent job cutting down a very large and very damaged red oak tree on a sloped hill that hovered over our swimming pool, deck, shed, pool house and two 100 gallon propane tanks. The job of cutting down the tree and the cleanup afterward were done to perfection . I plan to have Nick back in the Spring to cut down one or two more damaged trees. If you are looking for a professional tree service company that you can depend on and trust to do a top notch job you will find it with Nick's Tree Service. I have recommended this company to my neighbors.

Nick's Tree Services took down an ash tree we had that died sometime during the late summer-early fall of 2013. Taking down the tree was beyond my husband and my ability to do safely. The tree was cut down in sections and the limbs and branches that were not to be used for firewood (see next paragraph) were disposed of in their truck for chipping at a later time. After the tree was taken down, Nick's Tree Services cleared all brush and leave material with a blower. Nick's Tree Service was very accomodating to my eighty-six year next door old neighbor who graciously allowed the tree crew to use his driveway for their equipment. My neighbor wanted to have the wood from the ash for his fireplace, and Nick's Tree Service crew very obligingly trimmed the branches and trunk for him and cut the wood into standard sized logs for his fireplace. They also stacked the logs under his deck in a very neat pile for him as well. Nick's Tree Service sent expediously the certificate of insurance I had requested prior to any work done and telephone calls and e-mails were responded to promptly and efficiently. The tree crew were right on time and it took no more than an hour to complete.

Nick was a great communicator and his price was very reasonable, and he's very good at what he does. He did everything exactly the way I would of done it and then some. It was as though he was at his own house. I would not give a second thought to having him do more work for me. I wish everyone in the trades we're like him and from my experience I couldn't be more enthusiastic about recommending him. Thank you Nick !!

On time, professional crew, very efficient, they were done in less than an hour. Good cleanup. Especially appreciated the fact that the boss (Nick) works right along and is not just writing contracts. Very fair price. Actually charged less than the quoted price because the job took less time than estimated. Highly recommended!

On the initial visit Nick walked the property with me and provided helpful feedback on what I wanted to accomplish and what my options were. The job included removal of very large trees and branches that were very close to the house, the grinding of a few stumps as well as the removal of other trees and assorted trimming. The quote Nick provided was very competitive and I felt comfortable with his communication, punctuality and professionalism as well as the fact that he's been doing this a long time with experienced workers that have been with him for years. The day of the job the crew showed up in force right on time and minutes later, to the whine of chainsaws, limbs and trees were coming down. Two very large trees right next to the house were carefully dissected from the top down with the pieces secured by ropes. Other trees were dropped, cut and chipped on site with the 10-member team working like a well-oiled machine. They also went above and beyond, cleaning out and chipping dead limbs and other debris in the work area. They cleaned everything up afterwards, finishing with leaf blowers on the last of the sawdust and chips. The entire job was completed ahead of the estimated schedule. I couldn't be happier with the entire job, from the quality of the work done, to the price, to the overall experience. And hey with Nick you get an all-American, apply pie legend as he was on his was to being a major league baseball pitcher until an injury changed his plans; ask him about it when you see him. Overall I highly recommend him for all your tree needs.

All the praise that Nick's Trees gets here on Angie's List is spot on. Nick knows his business very well, and he is obviously committed to high standards of care for both his employees and his clients. When I first called him, he scheduled a visit for the next day to see our project. Immediatly after viewing the work, he provided a very detailed and reasonably-priced quote. He was very responsive to follow-up questions that I emailed him, and once I gave him the go ahead to schedule the project everything went exactly as discussed. All the work was done by the crew with great care, and the clean up was impressive.

Nick was very responsive. He was up front about pricing and scheduling. (There was a two week delay, due to volume of business.) When the day arrived, the crew was punctual, polite and professional. Nick came over at the end of the day to confirm that everything was satisfactory. I have recommended this company to several people and will continue to do so. Outstanding customer service.

I received proposals from 5 companies for my tree work. I like to think that I am able to read people when I meet them to tell if they are bull$hitting me or not. Nick is an honest man who takes pride in his company. He answered all the questions that I had and showed up directly at 8:30 AM like he said with a crew of employees. These employees were very respectful and worked very hard to make sure everything was cleaned up before they left. You could not tell that they were even here when they left. My neighbor saw them working and even had them come across the street to take down one of his trees. I would highly recommend using Nick and you can stop reading more reviews from other companies because you found your guy right here.

They were good. His men were polite and did the job quickly. I was happy with the service.

They showed up on time. They worked hard. They did exactly what we asked for. They were very careful not to damage any other trees and carefully took down the 2 trees bordering our neighbor so that no debris fell on their property. The crew seemed happy which makes a big difference when there's a job to be done. I have no doubt that they take pride in their work. I would definitely use them again and will recommend them to anyone that asks.

Climbers and ground crew couldn't have been more professional! Dropped pines from the top down. Work was performed within a few feet of my house. Never came close!

We originally spoke with Nick after Sandy and then there were two subsequent storms that hit us even worse. Nick was courteous but said he was extremely busy (a good sign) and would get back after he had fulfilled current commitments. We fell off his radar, but when we contacted him after the worst of winter, he responded immediately and even found records of the call (name / address). He came out the very next day and did a complete and professional assessment and provided us an itemized bid in writing. He also offered helpful advice on other trees outside the scope of this job. He gave us a lot of time to walk around and consider options. Nick apologized -more than once- for dropping the ball on our first call. He was truly personable and sincere. We've had the misfortune of considerable tree work over the past several years so we know the costs well. His charges were very reasonable. He did the work soon after we talked. His work was extremely well done. It was exactly what he said and when he said - no special circumstances or add-ons. The clean-up was as thorough as we have ever seen. We could not be more pleased with his work. This guy is good!

Nick returned my call right away and came to give an estimate at my convenience in record time. The work was performed as requested and when they told me they would at a very reasonable price. Would definitely hire again!
