Initially they were not going to extend the shower like we had discussed. When I told the worker who was doing the job, he told me he had no orders to do that. He went a head and started installing the stone and when I got home I let him know he needed to stop and contact his manager. Currently we are having a issue with our shower drain because grout they laid has accumulated in the shower drain. We have contacted them about this issue but they have yet to call me back. We had a issue with our cabinets as well but the manufacturer took care of it. I was told the job would take about 2-3 weeks, the job took 8 weeks. Aesthetically everything looks nice but we are still dealing some issues.
Description of Work: They started the job on June 20 2011. I had them remodel my entire bathroom with the exception of my tub. They were supposed to extend the shower and lay some stone and marble flooring.

The project started out fine. Martin the owner was present a lot in the beginning and then started sending his "workers". Our agreement was for cash 1/3 up front, 1/3 in the middle and the final 1/3 upon completion. The work was started in Mid May. I had topay both rent and mortgage for two places plus a new tenant was moving into my old house. Work was done predominantly by 5 guys. Two spoke Spanish, Two spoke Arabic and the 5th guy was an elderly American who was supposed to be a "Jack of all Trades". At first it moved along well. tiles were laid in the kitchen and foyer and the cabinets were installed. The corner cabinet was supposed to be a lazy susan but they decided that they would install the granite countertop and then put in the Lazy Susan. My husband was around much of the time b/c he was painting and overseeing the job. He told them repeatedly not to install the granite before the Lazy Susan, but they did anyway. The lazy Susan they did install was the size of a small spice rack. After the second payment the speed of the work slowed to a crawl. Many days they did not show up at all. They also stole a number of my husbands tools, such as his power drill, screw drivers, hammers, two caulk guns and god knows what else. About 10 days before we were supposed to move in, problems came to a head. Work that was "completed" started to fall apart. the grout between the tiles started coming up. We were missing several shelves and were told they could make us more shelves out of plywood. Before the project was started there was a leak from approximately where the old fridge was. They cut the ceiling out and it was clear that there was an old pipe that was leaking and had not been capped properly. My husband had to go out for a few minutes, but he specifically told them that he wanted to see the repair before they closed it up. When he returned the ceiling had been dry walled over and the workers were gone. they slowly came and went as did our deadline. we found out that that the guy who was supposed to be an electrician and plumber was neither licensed nor skilled in either field. the sink and bathtub were never caulked. Upon installing a light above the sink, hedropped and broke the granite around the sink. he fixed it with yellow apoxy of some sort andalso chipped the porceline in the sink. Next they installed the medicine chest with a big chip in the corner of the glass. The faucet in the sink and shower were incorrectly installed. We hired a plumber to fix the sink faucet (which broke again t\onight) to the tune of almost two hundred dollars, but the shower faucet could not be fixed unless you cut a hole through the drywall into the bedroom. Repaired and then repainted it. By now it was mid-August and time for our family vacation. we drove nine hours with our four children in the car, to be called back a week later that the petsitter came over and found the house flooded. We raced back to NY where she had hired a water emergency clean up team. it turns out that the "repaired" leak under the fridge was just sealed back up the way it was and it burst. The walls and ceiling were torn down to the studs, and my not even three week old first floor renovation of lights, paint, new doors, and carpet were also removed. Our homeowners paid over $30,000, but many irreplacable items and my kids toys were destroyed, as were our computers. Since then we find another problem every day. They took the extra tiles so we cant match them with the ones that werent damaged. They just abandoned the propane stove conversion, so for another 6 weeks we had to eat out every meal. We had great difficulty just getting the propane b/c the contractor had no permit and we needed two. we never got the missing shelves, but all the tiles are coming loose b/c they were laid incorrectly and then sat under water for two days. Many of our cabinet doors have broken off and we dont know the company to replace them ourselves. Every day I wake up in fear of what will happen next. Believe it or not, about once a month we get a call from one of Martin's secretaries saying we owe them the third payment and that they will take us to court. we explained what happened and have set up numerous appointments for him to call us, but he never does. I cannot tell you how fed up I am with this company, and have spent every penny I own fixing his problems. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention the toilet he installed doesnt flush? this man has some nerve. I waited a while to see if we could resolve it ourselves, and because I didnt know what he"d do or say, but at least I have the police, insurance companies and now Angie's List involved.
Description of Work: The job was supposed to entail gut of kitchen and master bath, tiling, electricity, retaining necessary permits, installing all new cabinets, installing all new appliances, converting electric stove to propane and venting. Work was contracted to be completed by July 1 2012 at the latest

We chose our slab from their extensive inventory. What we liked required a wait (short) and then another short wait to get exactly what we wanted. Their people came to make a template. They installed it in coordination with our cabinet refacer/contractor with whom they worke seamlessly and as promised. The work was professionally done and the results are terrific.
Description of Work: Provided and installed granite kitchen countertop.
