In the beginning when we hired Joe I thought he was very nice that was around July 2021. He seemed very eager to get to work which was good for us. Couple of months went by and the stairs were not done the walkway was done but it was crooked and shoddy. In fact it never passed inspection so I had to get another contractor in to do it the right way. Also hired him for the back at the same time to do a renovation to part of our garage which was a workshop. He was here until October or the end of September actually when I told him to leave just leave me the materials. He did not leave me the metal roof or the cedar shakes that I paid for and instead of the metal roof he left plastic roofing here. I would not recommend.

DO NOT hire this so called Contractor, he is a sham! Joe's unprofessionalism and lack of quality of work was beyond disappointing. He threatened to leave the job site on three separate occasions. He didn't put up or lay any tarps while sanding resulting in dust getting all over the furniture in the next room while he sanded. Five mins into him sanding I put my own tarp up. Then my husband came home and tarped the areas Joe was going to be working in. He didn't have a fan to help the mud dry in the room, I provided a fan. Prior to starting the job we explained what was needed and Joe spoke very high about quality of work. We hired him to put up sheetrock and paint a small room as the first part of the job. He began last Wed knowing we were having company on Friday and would need the room done. He assured us it would be ready to go 1000%. Come Friday the excuses began that it was too humid and would have to wait until Monday. Okay, inconvenient but we went with it. I noticed he would come and stay three hours, four tops and leave which extended the job even further. We had a few patch jobs to be done in other rooms that my husband had to convince him to begin while the mud literally dried. He was argumentative with my husband when my husband asked for updates regarding timelines we were given. He promised me the four days he spent sanding would result in 1000% smooth walls. Fast forward to today which is now Wed again, he began painting the room he sheetrocked, mudded and sanded for four days. He texted me he was leaving for lunch and the first coat of paint was done on the walls and ceiling. I went down to look at the room and my heart sank. The tape was bubbling in several areas, the tape on the ceiling was literally peeling off, there were big dents in the wall, and the seams were showing. The job was shotty at best, why he even began painting was beyond me. I texted him that I was concerned with the room and asked to speak when he got back. When he returned he immediately began packing his things and brought them outside. As soon as my husband an I entered the room. He was instantly defensive and blaming the poor job on being rushed. We explained that if he needed time just say it, it is what it is. He was completely unprofessional, took no responsibility. When asked why he painted if the walls were clearly not smooth he didn't have much of an answer. We told him we were unhappy with the job, and he said he was leaving. We asked him if he was giving our money back since he's leaving without finishing the job, he said no. We asked him to make things right, he said no. My husband got fed up and told him to get off the property. We put his bags of garbage he was responsible for throwing away and his tools outside. He called the Sheriff and refused to take the garbage. Claiming we got what we paid for. What we got for the money we spent was a complete botch job!! I urge you when you see Arbore and sons home improvement, KEEP SCROLLING. A five year old can mud better then this clown. Save yourself the headache and disappointment. If I could give negative stars I would! What a true lack of skill.
