All Weather Guard

My experience with the father-son team of Bill and Brian Bonell of All Weather Guard is unmatched by any other contractor with whom I have interacted in my 40+ years of home ownership. Bill and Brian were extremely responsive, always answering emails within five minutes of my sending them. Because of my schedule, I had a very small 10-day window within which the job needed to be done and, despite a great deal of rain in the preceding days and weeks, the job was done according to my timeframe. The four-man work crew that did the job was neat, well-mannered and very respectful. They worked hard and clearly would not settle for anything less than the best job that they could do. There were absolutely no worries from the beginning of this project to its end. I would call upon All Weather Guard without hesitation for any of my future contracting needs.

I had a leak on my torch down flat roof since last year. Brian from all weather guard inspected the problem and suggested to re-roof the entire side of the roof. He was very professional and knowledgeable and he sent me a quote in one day. In little more than a week, my roof work was done. All weather guard re-roof approx 220 square feet of the roof and the work looks well done. Hoping to stay leak free for few years. .

We had a leak in our kitchen over the winter due to some ice damming. Brian was very responsive and advised that he'd assess and repair the roof after the snow had cleared. He was quite good in terms of communication and showed up to fix the leak as soon as the weather warmed a bit. There haven't been any leaks so far, but I'll have to see how next winter goes to be sure that we're fully protected. The only reason I knocked the review down a peg for Professionalism is because their Angie's List posting shows that they accept credit cards for payments. When I called to pay, I was told that they do not. Had this job been bigger, I would have appreciated the flexibility of using my card to pay rather than cash. And while I probably would have asked for a bigger job, it is a bit misleading and delayed my payment while I moved money around. I would use them again, but now with the understanding that they don't take credit card payments.

I had purchased a big deal for the service for somebody else, but it turned out okay. There was nothing that they liked or disliked about the service. There were no additional fees.

We have single story extensions on both sides of our home. We noticed some internal water penetration that was apparently coming from these seams. We reviewed our homeowner report which stated the flashings should be replaced a year ago :-). We had a couple of estimates and Brian was very transparent, didn't recommend "more" as others did, and was extremely dedicated in making sure we were taken care of and happy. He basically held my hand as I educated myself, and got up to speed on what was the issue, and what should be done, and what was completely unnecessary. I have an issue about cleanliness, as most people disappoint, and these guys were good. Very little "debris" or "shrapnel" outside, but if i could comment on anything, it would be that. I would recommend them to my friends, and call them immediately if i had an issue. Very good people and happy to share this review.

Communication and trust are the reasons I turned to Angie's List for help with the roof on my office building. As a psychotherapist and author, I always represent myself clearly and honestly and I like to do business with others who have the same ethics. So when another roofing company (called "Weather Tech") took $6000 to "repair" my roof last August-and then when it started to leak and they would not return my calls-I was understandably shocked and enraged! So I checked Angie's List and called All Weather Guard for help. I was pleasantly surprised that both Bill and Brian were able to come by my office the very next day (Christmas Eve Day!) and offer a detailed inspection of my roof. Since I was "taken for a ride" by the other roofing company just a few months earlier, I asked Bill and Brian a ton of questions about what was wrong with my roof and what would be needed to fix it. Bill and Brian explained why another "patch" on my flat roof would last only a short time and why the last repair was a terrible waste of money. They also explained exactly why the best choice was to invest in a complete roof replacement. Bill and Brian prepared a proposal immediately after their site inspection (the day after Christmas!) and in the proposal, promised to complete the job within 2-3 weeks after signing the it (weather permitting). I had several questions before and after signing the proposal-and Bill and Brian were very patient with me. Communication throughout the job was excellent. Gina, the administrative assistant, also helped to keep me posted about the exact date the job would be completed. "Rob" was the on-site foreman in charge of the completing the job over a 2-day span. He was equally knowledgeable, courteous and professional. In summary, I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking a roof repair or replacement!

They were okay. They were very polite. They didn't do what they were supposed to do, but when I called them up, they came back and fixed it, but that was extra. Overall, what I hired them for, they did well. A lot of places won't come back, but they did and I appreciate that.

They did excellent work. They replaced my whole roof about a year and half ago. This time it was repair. The repair was for a branch that had gone through the roof and not a problem with the original work. They were very professional and prompt. They cleaned up. They did it on an accelerated schedule to get it done before the rain came in the next day.

Bill and his crew did a great job at a very reasonable price. We had an old flat roof with insufficient & damaged flashing which caused severe leaks in our house during heavy rain. To complicate that, the roof is underneath a 2nd floor deck which had to be removed in order to access the problem. Bill was willing & able to coordinate with my deck guy's schedule so we could transition smoothly from the deck work to the roof repair. Despite a misunderstanding on my part which cost him & his guys a days work, although understandably displeased, Bill remained professional and worked with me to reschedule the work within the same week. We've had some heavy rain since the work was completed and not a drop of water has gotten through. I would highly recommend Bill & All Weather Guard for any roof work and will be using them again in the future if need be.

It went very smoothly. Brian stopped by first and emailed the proposal. After several emails and phone calls, we set a date within a week. The dumpster and building materials were delivered on my driveway the evening prior to the schedule work day. The workers came in the next morning, kept working to take the old roof down, took a half hour break at noon and finished everything in the afternoon. I checked my yard was clean. Great work! Very professional and efficient. Will definitely recommend to friends.

It was good. He was prompt. I did a quick patch myself. He was extremely good and I would use him again.

I had a leak in my kitchen ceiling. I called All Weather Guard on 11/24/14 and they came the very next day. I wasn't home but they inspected my roof and patched an area that they thought might be the source of my problem ( it rained hard the next day and I had no leak). They seem to have fixed my immediate problem and didn't charge me for the service call. Since my roof is not quite 13 yrs old they told me judging by the condition of it that it is most likely defective. They wrote me up a proposal & took pictures of my roof so I could see its condition. The written proposal price seems very fair. I haven't seen the pictures yet so i can't comment on them. I certainly wasn't expecting to have to replace my roof after such a short period of time but if that's what needs to be done I would use All Weather Guard. Very professional and responds quickly to phone calls or emails. Dependability goes a long way!

Our gutters on our 1955 split-level house hadn't been cleaned for a while and were full of debris; some of them had come away from the house. Of the several contractors I interviewed, All Weather Guard did the most careful and specific survey for gutter and roof work. Brian arrived on time for our appointment, and was very clear both in person and in his written estimate about the work that needed doing. In addition to the gutter cleaning and repairs he found several roof shingles damaged or partially missing. While other bidders insisted a new roof was needed, Brian's approach was more moderate and tailored to the specific problems he found. His price was reasonable and we agreed on a date. Eric and a crew of 3 arrived promptly at the scheduled time. They were friendly and were apparently well-briefed on the scope of work. The crew worked efficiently (two teams working simultaneously). They appeared to have all needed materials on the truck and had all of the ladders and tools as well. They did a thorough cleaning of the site when they were finished. They replaced one length of gutter, reseated and cleaned the others, replaced a rotten 1x6 wood fascia, did roof patching where needed, and repaired flashing at waste vents and chimney. During the final walk-through I found an additional area on the house where there was rotten wood and a few missing siding shingles. I contacted Brian and he was able to follow-up with this additional repair for a very reasonable fee and the crew returned soon thereafter to finish the job. I was not at home, so they sent me photos of the work (per my request) to my satisfaction. At all times they were professional, courteous and quick to reply to an email. I was happy with the work and would strongly recommend All Weather Guard to others.

Communication with Brian was professional and timely ( mainly email ). Their crew began work aprox 9am and worked vigorously till 4:30-5. Quality was superb and as neat as possible. All debris was removed and carted away. They were well organized and knew what to do. Job came out great and won't hesitate to recommend.

Brian provided a quick estimate and had a crew out to do the work within two weeks. The final price was exactly the same as the estimate. The work took one day longer than originally expected, but Brian was communicative and got the job done ASAP.

Brian's crew installed a new roof on Sept 2nd - What a great group of guys! They were punctual, efficient, worked hard and were done with roof in one day! Scott, from All Weather Guard, installed our garage door yesterday. What a fantastic job he did! Scott was eager to answer all of our questions, concerns, and did not make us feel "stupid" for asking our questions (as many contractors do!). He was meticulous in his work, was patient with my "input", and thorough in all of his information on the door. We had 3 different companies give estimates and they were all similar in price. Based on Angie's reviews and Brian's professionalism and quick response times, we went with All Weather Guard. We were not disappointed. Once our skylights were in our roof was done in a day with a few extra hours the next day to make sure everything was clean and perfect. They were so easy to deal with and no hidden costs. We were extremely happy and would highly recommend and use again down the road for siding or other work.

All Weather Guard was wonderful! They were my least expensive estimate and provided as many or more services than the other vendors.They showed up on time and finished the project in one say, as promised. They left the area even cleaner than they found it. Everyone was so nice.

It was a pleasure doing business with Brian and All Weather Guard. He was easy to communicate with, explained everything, and didn't try and sell me anything I didn't need (it was actually my idea to do the soffits and fascia). Everyone associated with All Weather Guard showed up when they stated, did their jobs quickly, were friendly, and did a good job cleaning up. The roof and gutters look very good, and there were no surprises along the way.

Within a week of accepting his proposal, his work-crew arrived. They were knowledgeable, professional, efficient and neat. They did end up having to do more work than planned (additional cement work on chimney, custom-made cap for fireplace opening, a third layer of shingles to remove and replace). I had assumed my cost to be a little higher than quoted because of the additional work done but the cost remained at $2,400. I was so pleased with Ryan, his work crew and the job performed that I actually felt very lucky to have found All Weather Guard Corp. I can't imagine ever using anyone else for roof/gutter work!

He was the only one who told me that the tiles got loose while the other guy told me that I have to replace all the shingles. The price is very reasonable compared to other estimates I had. They were very fairly priced.
