The work was done efficiently and on time. The 2 workers with Matt were pleasant and knew what they were doing. Matt was on the job several times to check on their work, see how things were going and to do some specialty work. He asked us several times if we were satisfied and fixed the things we pointed out that we weren't completely satisfied with. The only thing that keeps this from being an A review is the mess that his helpers left behind. There were dirty ladder marks on the walls in the bathroom that had the skylight removed, there was a thick layer of joint compound dust on horizontal surfaces and a shard of broken glass left on a window sill. Outside, I found hardware (screws, nails, etc.) and sealer in the flower beds under the windows that were replaced. On the positive side, Matt had his workers clean the walls when we pointed it out and offered to repaint the walls if they were not up to our standards. Overall, I would hire Matt again, but his workers' sloppiness keeps this from being an A rating.
Description of Work: We had 8 windows replaced and a skylight removed in a bathroom, which involved putting up a new ceiling and patching the hole in the roof.

The cost is his labor ONLY. I want to state my wife & I purchased almost every item installed or reused recently items we purchased. . Many problems with some issues being 'fixed' 2,3,4 times & some still not right. Our bathroom door will not even close & latch because the latch is a full inch off location. He broke a fairly new $200+ toilet & made us pay for it to be replaced at above his cost! After filing in small claims court for $1925.00, we settled out of court for $1500.00 Sept., 2015. He cut many corners. Although he ripped out & replaced ALL walls, nothing is square! His caulk is turning yellow already & leaks. He refuses to repair OR fix. He ripped out old floor , sub floor, etc. & new floor creaks like h***! He also failed to reinforce floor as per contract. I can forward his emails if requested. He states we are 'impossible to please' I guess if you expect what you pay for & to get a good job, he can not please you. Go elsewhere. We are now taking him to court. He has refused his 1 year warranty on all 5 jobs done here at this time & should still be covered. Our problems : -The shower stall is again leaking & running across the floor at the same place as before.-The rust is/has been showing up at the sink drain. I've tried several times to remove it, but it returns. I take it the drain wasn't replaced.-Rear porch has the siding you installed fell off on one side at roof & laying on the ground. -The other side of porch has the white stock strip falling out of place.-The cellar ceiling panels that were damaged when bathroom was installed have not been replaced yet as you promised Also: After snow melted we found some of their trash thrown in our back yard. 1. You left several spots of glue on the shower stall base in the shower & on the outside of the base. We can not get it off. Even 'magic eraser' won't do it. We have spent quite a bit trying different things and nothing has worked. 2. The floor creaks like h***. It is driving me crazy. And it doesn't take much for it to creak. Considering the contract actually stated a 'reinforced floor' this creaking should not be there. 3. The one cabinet upper front (see below) will not stay in place. (after at least 4 repairs by him) 4. The door will not latch. The hole is way off location for the door to latch. It also appears that relocating the strike plate/hole will leave old hole visible it is that far off We are seriously concerned with the above issues this far out & at the same time so close to work being performed. He then refuses to honor his warranty & we now must sue him & take him to court!

This job we were very happy with except now we have the water temperature drop when ever the pump kicks in. He is unable to correct that. Now he voided his warranty:As of June 2015 we had Matt do a total of 5 jobs & now HE REFUSES TO HONOR HIS 1 YEAR WARRANTY ON EVERY JOB HE DID HERE!!!! Please contact me for a copy of his actual email where he states this. "I've never voided a warranty before in all my 25 years in this work but I feel I have to now." We have numerous BIG problems with a bathroom remodel done by him. We have water running across our floor & he stated Quote: "Water I can't do much about... I will re apply caulk at some point but it's a lot of water in a tiny shower." This would be after after he tried to fix it already. My statement: "The 'water issue' must be solved. If the top of the shower base & bottom of the shower door frame had been properly caulked at the time of installation, we would not have a problem. The same with the floor. When we had an old quiet floor torn out (be it with a hole in it) & a brand new noisy floor (sub floor, etc.) in it's place...not acceptable. This wasn't just replacing the top floor &/or tiles, but the complete floor. By 'reinforced' in the contract, we expected 'sister' joists, etc. to be added. Slight pressure is all it takes to make noises. Wakes me up every time someone uses the bathroom. If not fixed by you, I expect your insurance company will have to rip every thing out & replace"..
Description of Work: Replaced a leaking bladder tank. Only charged $60 for labor but was in the middle of our bathroom renovation.

Matt 'lost' the drawing per him & failed to match the siding as instructed. He never asked prior to job could he substitute a different type of siding & failed to cover areas as per the drawing. He did come back & attempted to cover missing areas but still failed to do what we paid for. We reluctantly agreed to let him use the incorrect siding, but this is very obvious from a distance. Now (June 2015) we have had siding & or trim fall off on both sides & HE REFUSES TO HONOR HIS WARRANTY & FIX THEM & states he was upset I was 'loud' with him on phone about the original job being so far from the drawing & not matching the siding. BIG DEAL! And he charged us more than estimate again. As of June 2015 we had Matt do a total of 5 jobs & now HE REFUSES TO HONOR HIS 1 YEAR WARRANTY ON EVERY JOB HE DID HERE!!!! Description of Work: Matt was to buy & install siding on both sides of our rear porch. He was given a detailed drawing on site & a piece of siding to match exactly.

Removed all but roof and floor frame, replaced floor, posts, rails, stairs and fascia with composite materials. Matt's workers paid excellent attention to detail and performed all minor changes and modifications as requested with reasonable additions to original quote as negotiated. Outstanding work!
