Description of Work: I didn't use this contractor, He did come out and gave me a estimate. He was very pleasant to work with, he was fast and courteous. He explained every thing so I could understand. I didn't use him because the job was more costly then I had funds for.

 + -1 morea contractor mike claims that I did. The D.E.C. says that I did not violate any laws. I am appalled that Mike from City View construction High balled me on the price and lied to me to scare me into hiring him. He knows that I am a disabled veteran.
Description of Work: I contacted the owner Mike about a estimate for a 300' gravel driveway. He showed up on time but everything out of his mouth was the way he claimed that the job had to be done, not the way that I wanted it done. Mike claimed that I needed more work done than I needed. Also Mike pointed out that previous excavating that I had done was in violation od D.E.C. Law and that I and the excavator could be fined $ 17,000. a piece. Mike claimed that he was an engineer and he would straitened out the problem for $ 17,000. Mike also claimed that I had a worst drainage problem than I do and that the only way to fix it would be for him to dig a pond for $ 15,000. to $ 20,000. Mike also said that It would cost $ 17,000. to install the drive way. If you add the numbers up Mike wanted around $ 50,000. I had a previous driveway estimate and it was $ 2,500. I called the D.E.C. to see if I violated any law, like this

 + 1 moreGreat job. We needed both excavation and landscape last time. Both jobs done when they were supposed. Timely. Landscaping included weeding, edging, mulching, planting trees. The first time he worked for us he built us our Mickey mouse pond and then when it came to landscaping he put the plants in such a way to also represent Mickey's head. It was all his idea and he knew what he was doing. Easy to contact and discuss all plans. The second job included excavation for an addition. He was careful of the septic system and was mindful of the current landscape. Great guy and company.
Description of Work: Mike is extremely dedicated to his work. This was our second time working with him because he cares about quality and that the job is done right. He built our pond, other landscape work and excavated the grounds for the addition as well as gave great referrals for when we needed the driveway paved. Follows through on everything. Would highly recommend for professionalism, communication and the entire job.

 + 5 moreMike is fabulous! He came in and fixed our gabion baskets which were threatening to tumble down. He knew exactly what he was doing and did the work properly. No shortcuts! We also had areas of poor drainage which were always soggy. He fixed those. Replaced rotting railroad ties with landscape stone and rocks for out driveway and landscaping. Everything looks spectacular. Mike went out of his way to not damage the lawn and landscaping with his big equipment. He left the site looking better than it ever has. I don't believe I have ever met a person, let alone contractor, that I trust more than Mike! If he says he and his crew can do something -- trust that he will do it right and you will love the results!
Description of Work: Replace gabion baskets at lakefront and rework the wall to ensure stability. Leven walking area. Fix driveway/parking area to ensure proper drainage. Replace driveway and landscaping edging with stone.

 + 7 moreOwner Mike Legnetto was phenomenal. He wasn't the least expensive - but he was the one with the best plan to correct our situation. He worked with us from start to finish making sure we got the appropriate permits and approvals and then working with everyone to make sure that the results were more than we expected. Mike is extremely honest and will tell you if he can or cannot do something. If he says he can -- trust him. Even our Town codes enforcement officer and building permit board members were impressed.
Description of Work: We had severe damage at the lakeshore and were in danger of losing our camp due to extensive erosion. City View came in and built a limestone sea wall and shored up the rest of the embankment with landscape fabric and various sizes of gravel. They corrected our drainage and made everything not only functional -- but nice looking.
