Total scam. Contract signed. I got the permit. Half the price as in contract was paid. Roof trusses delivered. Forms for concrete built. Rebar for footers laid and then that was it. Excuses were personal problems then the winter hit. Then the pandemic. But I was told when weather improved and when quarantine of construction was lifted I was on top of list. Now it's been a year and absolutely no progress has been made. I told him if he can't finish to refund the remaining balance to me. But have not seen any money and have not received an answer. Stay away from him. I was more than reasonable and understanding in this matter. I had the first impression that he was a reputable and honorable person.

Disaster from start. The worker left atleast 6 times to go to store to get "parts needed" . Nailed in trim (bought trim without even asking me , then charged me more money). NOTHING connecting the bathroom sink was tight and water leaked all over inside new cabinet. Never responded to my messages when I tried contacting him after payment to fix the leaks! My 22 year old son had to end up fixing the leak. What a serious rip off!!

Bert came to my home in late August of 2014 to give me an estimate for the repair of my concrete block chimney. The estimate seemed fair so I agreed to the work. Materials were delivered in September with the work slated to begin right away. Several weeks later the contractor arrived and set up most of the scaffolding needed for the job. The night after the scaffolding was set up he called me to tell me that he did not want to ruin my nice house by anchoring the scaffold to the house. In addition, the stand-by generator and air conditioning compressor were located under the chimney and he did not want to damage them. My question is didn't he see these obstacles when he quoted the job? Why did he waste 2 months of my time before he refused to do this job? Now it's late October and the weather was deteriorating so this type of work would have to wait until the following spring. He did refund the deposit minus materials that were delivered to my house for the job but what a pain. Doesn't seem like he knows his business so I would beware of this outfit before I hired him again.
