My son referred us to Don Fox after using his services on the advice of a trusted friend. We had an old Amana furnace that refused to turn on. Don inspected it and told us that the heat exchanger was cracked and the furnace was dangerous. He demonstrated how flame could shoot out and potentially cause a fire. The furnace was 24 years old, and the heat exchanger was under warranty for 25, but, although we found our warranty, we couldn't locate the original receipt. Don worked with Amanda to try to get them to honor the warranty, bu to no avail. The original receipt was required. Don quoted us a price on an excellent replacement unit -- a Goodman -- with a very high rating, which we accepted. He came on the day we had arranged, removed the old unit, and installed the new furnace. He also checked and serviced our humidifier, cleaned the filter unit and replaced the filter. He also filed our warranty registration for us and helped us secure a $250 rebate from our gas utility provider. We feel that we got a very good price and were very pleased with Don's professional and courteous service.
