 + -1 moreThe end result of this renovation is fantastic. Frank was very sensitive to the antique nature of our home. He worked very hard to create rooms which are in harmony with the age of our house. He created beautiful moldings and details that enhance the new rooms. He frequently checked with us and gave us choices, when possible, without overwhelming us or dictating. Frank is a problem solver. When problems arose, which is unavoidable, especially in an old house, Frank cleverly found solutions that worked. We have been left with a classic, stunning kitchen which should stand the test of time. The tv room is also beautiful, airy and quite functional for our needs. We are very pleased with Frank's work.
Description of Work: Frank renovated two rooms (kitchen and tv room) in our nearly 200 year old house. It was a total gut job down to the studs. Frank had many suggestions which helped keep costs down and resulted in beautifully planned and executed rooms. We did start with a set of profession kitchen plans. Frank came up with some very clever uses for our space which resulted in an even better end result.

 + 5 moreRoofing was installed, new floors were put in, including the complete structural framing, electrical and plumbing was installed, dry wall, and painting, you name it, and it was part of this project until it was finished. This contractor played a major role in seeing to it that the planning was done correctly, supplies needed were ordered and purchased, and then scheduled the projects to be completed in the proper order and with excellent supervision. And, everything was done with excellence.
Description of Work: This contractor provided a solid, and confident leadership role in a re-build/remodel project I was involved with at a local non-profit organization's facility. He was knowledgeable, capable, and very much a leader when it came to seeing this project to its completion.

 + 5 moreWe are 12 years into a whole house rebuild, most of which we had done ourselves. Unfortunately, we ran out of youth. We had the master bath left to do and just couldn't find a starting place. We heard about Frank Pentz and asked him to come over and talk to us about the things he could do for us and the parts we wanted to do ourselves. Even though it is probably more difficult to do bits and pieces of a project, Frank did not hesitate and worked with my husband to get the project to exactly where we wanted it to be. He was personable and enjoyable to work with. He is competent and capable. He offered many excellent solutions to blending our old house with a new addition. We intend to have Frank come back and help us in the future, perhaps many times. The whole experience was enjoyable and he helped make the impossible possible!
Description of Work: We are currently remodeling an older home. We needed help building a shower and installing electrical, plumbing and general framing to bring the bathroom together. We also needed to have complicated trim installed on our kitchen cabinets. Frank Pentz listened very carefully to our needs, determined what the cost would be and set up a schedule for the work to be done. We have done much of the work ourselves previously and did not need for him to complete the whole job. This is what we learned about Frank: He pays careful attention to details. He sees both the big picture and the smallest details of a project. He expands the knowledge of the customer if that is what the customer wants. He is on time every day, cleans up after the project and leaves only when he has accomplished the details that are essential to the task. He is meticulous in his attention to detail and exacting in his expectations of the finished project. He is familiar with all aspects of home improvement and repair. What he says he will do is exactly what he does. He is creative and innovative. We are extremely pleased with his work and will definitely hire him again in the future.
