computer repair
+ -1 moreRon seemed pretty knowledgeable about computers and responded in a reasonable time frame. When he replaced the power source, he somehow caused the computer to fail to recognize all the internal drives. He returned to fix it, but that meant I had to take additional time off from work. We ordered the video card he suggested, and he told us to install it ourselves. This failed in short order and required another video card and removal of the computer from the house for a week (and additional service charges). When this computer was deemed "fixed," it also didn't recognize the CD or DVD drives, and required yet another home visit (with some resistance from Ron, I might add). Ron seemed reluctant to provide parts and install them, preferring that we do it. I would expect that the service person would test any repaired machine before returning it for use.
Description of Work: Provided on-site computer repair services for 2 PC's. Ron replaced a power source in one Dell computer, that was apparently damaged by movers. He had us order a new video card on-line, for a second Dell computer, and returned two months later when the same problem recurred.
