Yard Barber Lawn Service

I enjoyed the professionalism this company has to offer. I have had no problems they mow our lawn and plow us in the winter. They have great prices and the guys are very friendly.

Spend a little more and get a reliable service. Used the service for a little over a year and finally had to walk away loosing money prepaid for service because of the repeated aggravation and lack of communication. They charge monthly before service is rendered, so if you discontinue service you will likely loose money. I was never able to figure out when they would show up, they would miss weeks completely with no notification. This spring my grass was so over grown I thought I would be ticketed by the city, when I asked what was going on they said they had a mower in the shop and the lawn would be cut that week. Well 5 days went by and after canceling future services I did get my third cut of the month ( paid for 5), I told them not to bother coming back. I wrongfully thought if my lawn was skipped one week, it would be the first on the list to cut. Last fall I never received the paid for final cut of the season "because of the rain", communication repeated said they would be there that week. 3 weeks went by with weekly communication but not service. The account was credited for the spring which is why I continued, but honestly I should have known better. Yes they are cheap, but not cheap enough for the poor service and communication.

Paid in advance, their crew did not show up half the time. Properties were left without clearing and payment was never refunded. This company was hired by multiple neighbors and burned each one. On the days that they did show up, they would claim that there was too much snow to shovel and would walk away. It appears now they are selling "on call snow removal" services, which brings me to my next point... In trying to find an alternative snow removal company, I found multiple ads on Craig's List by a company called "Suburbian Lawns, LLC" (no, not a typo). It listed two phone numbers. I left a message with one and received a return call back in approximately one minute from what sounded like a foreign sounding call center. The woman on the phone represented herself as being with the "Yard Barber." I asked her whether the Yard Barber and Suburbian were the same company. First she said no, then paused, and hung up the phone. I am guessing this is the same shyster company doing damage control after burning its bridges last season. AVOID!

tttttttttI am very pleased with this company, very reliable & with them using a snowblower...there was no damage to the lawn or neighbors to complain that snow was pushed onto their property.
