They were responsive to the problem that I had. They came out, told me what the problem was, and they took care of the problem. They were very responsive and they were out on time.
Description of Work: They fixed my furnace for me.

He said the O-ring on the heat exchanger was cracked. I told him I had a receipt for the furnace that specifically said that if that particular part broke within 8 years they would replace the furnace for free. He said they would charge $1000.00. He said the guarantee was void because we didn't have the furnace serviced regularly. I pulled out my folder full of receipts for service to prove we had. This technician spent more time on his cell phone both in my house and then sitting in his truck (while I waited outside the truck for him to prepare my bill so I could leave and go somewhere else!) than he did working on my furnace!!! I called the owner, Vince, on 10/8/09 to confirm the large service fee for my "replace the furnace for free" on my receipt and he confirmed it was a "level 6" repair and would cost $1,041.00. The exchanger would be shipped out of state for repair; they would not be replacing the furnace for free. When another technician came in to replace the filter (they always have to make a second trip to replace the filter because even though we do this servicing every year they NEVER bring the filter) he used a camera and said the O-ring was fine. I feel the first technician was either not knowledgeable or was scamming me. At the time I was concerned the second technician was lying to avoid honoring the guarantee. I also am upset that the guarantee on the receipt is not true. Since then I've had another company in to do the servicing and the furnace is ok, so I think the second technician was telling me the truth.
Description of Work: Technician came for annual furnace servicing. This company installed both the furnace and central air conditioning. We have the furnace serviced every fall and the air conditioner in the spring.

The details were written in Angie's list on November 12, 2009. I have never encountered such rudeness by a service person in my whole life.
Description of Work: I submitted an extensive report on this website on November 12, 2009. This company is awful to say the very least. Unprofessional, ripoff artists.

Did not fix the problem I called about. The person was pushy and treated me like I was stupid. Instead of fixing the problem he tried to sell me a whole new system. He never even looked at the problem, instead he just started selling me on a new system. I had to pay for the service call but all I got was a sales call. Very disappointed and will not call them again.

I received a sales call from the company telling me that they were running a fall special on furnace maintenance and a check-up. The price was $59.00. The service man was on time. As soon as he saw my furnace, (which was installed in 2003) he started to tell how a lot of things were not done right and that I needed a new PVC line because the existing pipe going into the floor is not done like that by him. I was told there was a "spot" (exact words) on the igniter switch and it was "going to blow" (exact words) in 2 or 3 years. He said the smart valve is "no good and they are having a lot of problems with them". He told me I have a "low end" furnace and he could probably purchase one for $200.00 and said "I bet you paid $2,500 for this thing. I have a "high end furnace", the Cadillac in it's class, the installation done by a very well known reputable company, and have had no problems at all. I questioned prices, which were astronomical. I asked the price on the smart valve ( a small piece of plastic no bigger then a quarter). He said he wasn't going to tell me. He also didn't know anything about putting in the vapor panel (I knew that was going to happen way back when I talked to the sales girl). He was arrogant right off the bat. He became rude and belligerent. I had someone here and he blew right into them also. He seemed surprised when I told him I was going to get the person that was in my home to look at "the spot". He said I was being nasty (never said anything to be nasty) but I did say I couldn't believe how he was talking to me, a customer. In all my years of dealing with contractors, this was the ultimate insult. My take was, he couldn't "upsell" me and he didn't like it. He must be on a commission. He literally stormed out of the house. The last assault came when I called the company and talked to Vincent himself, told him what happened, he never apologized for the rudeness of his tech, said he can't imagine what happened (neither do I), he said, "why we just had a meeting with the men this morning", (must have been a meeting on productivity). He said he would call me right back. That was 5 hours ago, and I'm not holding my breath. What a terrible, unprofessional company this is. Buyer Beware! No dealings over the phone with a price too low to be true!
Description of Work: Was supposed to do a maintenance check up on furnace and put in furnace filter for a cost of $59.00. My furnace just has one filter for the furnace and air cleaner and told her I could put it in myself, because that combo filter would cost me extra. I guess the normal filter for a furnace would be included in price from what the sales girl explained. I bought a water vapor panel on my own, previously, and asked if that could be installed instead. She checked with someone there and said they would install it (a five minute job).

I use this company because they were the ones who originally installed the unit and I have a warranty with them. I am only charged $150 when they come out no matter what. I don t like this company though. They do not show up on time and the unit they installed in my house three years ago has needed to be fixed four times now. I will use them until my warranty runs out, but after that I would not hire them again.
Description of Work: I had them come out and replace a pipe in my air conditioning unit. It was leaking Freon.

The technician was very nice and worked quickly. He presented me with options for a discount maintenance program and suggested I think about a new furnace, having spotted a few other trouble spots and noticing that my old furnace was not very efficient. Having called a few different companies given the emergency, Vincent's was the first to show up.
Description of Work: My furnace stopped working when it was about 5 degrees out. Vincent's replaced a 't' coupler attached to the pilot light.

I was very pleased with Vincent's Heating & Cooling. The young man who came out was very professional and answered any question I had. They gave us four $25 off coupons for future use, which was an unexpected surprise. We will definitely use those coupons in the future.
Description of Work: Vincent's Heating & Cooling inspected our heating and air conditioning units. They also cleaned them.
