Chuck was very professional, punctual and thorough. His report covered all my concerns and more. He had helpful unbiased suggestions to improve our home pertaining to any basement leaks and grounds around the home which set our minds at ease concerning our cracks in the basement floor. He looked over the whole house. He is a licensed PE ENGINEER NY and Home Inspector NY State. He has both licenses at this writing. I verified both through NY State. Cost 475.

Problem areas are the roof and the basement. Chuck inspected all areas of the home. He took his time and explained everything. Was very helpful and gave me great advice. I can't wait to read his final report!!

Very professional and provided a thorough inspection of my 1890 Buffalo home. Reviewed every area inside and outside my house. Not only provided recommened improvements but went into great detail as to why the improvements were needed. Was knowledgeable on the latest codes and identified issues specifially with my crawl space that were not caught by other contractors. I was quite paranoid about various cracks forming in drywall around our house in addition to a damp basement with some interesting looking walls. After pining over the decision for months, I finally decided to buy some piece of mind and hire a professional. Long story short, I'm glad I did. I left a message with Chuck on Sunday evening and had a call by Monday morning. He first asked a few questions about the concerns I had. After I explained them to him he assured me that I was describing 90% of the homes in Buffalo and asked if I was sure he wanted me to come out. That actually sold me on his services right then and there. $600 may seem a bit expensive but in my mind it was a bargain for piece of mind. I had actually researched cost quite a bit before hiring the dynamic duo and the prices were on par with what I had researched. Chuck then scheduled a visit for Tuesday evening and showed up ahead of schedule. Chuck actually works in tandem with his partner Bill as they "cover each others weaknesses" as he put it. They began by inspecting the outside of the home and then immediately went to work in the basement. Chuck and Bill answered myriad questions that were thrown at them by my girlfriend and I and explained a great deal to us about our house that we didn't even know. The pair walked through our entire house with us and addressed each and every one of my concerns. Ultimately, they told us that our house was in great shape and that I was just being a bit paranoid. These two gentlemen were extremely pleasant, polite, professional, and assuaged all of my fears. Now I'll have a report in hand if ever we decide to sell our home. I would highly recommend Chuck and Bill if you're worried about possible problems in your home or even if you're looking to do some construction in the future.

Mr. Turner and his associate arrived on time and measured the largest width of cinder block gaps along with width of bowing. They did say the house sank apx. 1/2 inch which caused the gap in cinder blocks. My house was built after ww2 so it's not new. They said all houses sink at some point. The reason for the gap is because it only sank on 1 side. They assured me all I needed to do was fill in the gaps. They further stated that if the bow in the wall were 1 inch or more then bracing of some form would be needed. They walked around the basement and gave me suggestions on anything that they felt needed improvement. A full report was emailed to me in a few days!

Mr. Turner and his partner arrived at our house when they said they were going to be there. They worked efficiently and did a great job explaining what they were looking at to my husband so he would know what the report was going to say. They then went to town hall to look at the house plans to verify what they saw on their tour. Within a week we had a full report with copies for the building inspector. After receiving the report I had a few more questions so I called the office. Mr. Turner very patiently answered everyone of my questions and told me to call again if I needed anything else. I hired Charles to evaluate the floor joists in my house. I called him with my concerns and he arrived promptly the next day. House is 100 + years old and some of the joists were notched or cut over the years to make room for plumbing/electrical. Charles explained that everything was structurally sound and gave advice on what repairs could be made in the future. He emailed me his report within a couple of days. Great experience overall, would gladly do business with him again.

Chuck was able to inspect property within a day of initial phone call. He preformed the necessary tests to ensure structural integrity of basement jackposts in a home I am purchasing. He wrote a detailed report for the bank which I received within a couple of days. Chuck was punctual, professional and expedited both the appointment and report to satisfy our timeline.

From the moment he answered the telephone at 6:30 p.m., I knew this was the professional structural engineer I would hire! I thought, who answers their business line at 6:30 p.m.!? Furthermore, I hadn't hired him yet and he took a considerable amount of time during that initial call to talk me through the process of his inspection for structural soundness. He allayed some of my immediate concerns: and quot;A crack does not mean the house is not structurally sound.and quot; and and quot;A slope does not mean a house is not structurally sound.and quot; He brought his encyclopedic knowledge to bear on the information I shared over the phone and later at the site. What's more, he brought his good humor to the home during the inspection--this made a big difference! I arrived exactly on-time; Mr. Turner was already there. Dressed professionally with a shirt and tie. He had already made a pass of the exterior front, sides, and interior of the garage and had that feedback for me when I stepped out of the car! He immediately asked me for my own impressions and addressed those impressions first. As we walked through the house he was flexible--allowing me to interject questions/comments throughout his inspection. A PLUS, he leaned on his expertise as a trainer of home inspectors (YES--I learned at the site that he trains home inspectors!) to point out areas of the home that were not structural issues, but would be helpful to address in the future. For example, he noted that the deck did not have vents built in, which can cause the wood to degrade and rot much quicker. and quot;You should install some vents in thereand quot; he said. When we entered the home he honed in on subtleties that I hadn't noticed and quickly pointed out what I should be concerned with and what I should ignore. In the end, Mr. Turner uncovered two foundation walls that had some movement. He provided his impressions verbally onsite and later in a written report. It's important to note that the inspection took place on a Friday. Mr. Turner was aware that I had a strict deadline to get the report to the bank and worked throughout the weekend on the report. He told me that is just the way he does business! He was available practically every time I called him to follow-up on the report with questions. I cannot say enough about my interactions with this incredible professional. He was outstanding! In closing, ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Turner, who goes by Chuck, is a consummate professional! I absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend him without reservation! If you want an honest, professional assessment of whether the house you are purchasing is going to fall down, move around, shake, rattle or roll--hire him!

Chuck came over to survey the existing rooms, took good notes, and marked up plans with the work. That work was turned into plans that I submitted to the City for approvals, permits, and to get bids from competing contractors. The whole process took three months give or take a few weeks.
