Description of Work: They did a great job with our roof. Unfortunately, they did not pay too much attention to our garden, and it is in really rough shape now. Additionally, a few screens were ripped. There is also a small roof above some windows, which they did not replace. I've contacted them, and hopefully they will respond. Lastly, they did not clean the attic or really make a point to say that anywhere that there is no finished ceiling there will be pieces of cedar shingle everywhere. Yes, this is common sense, but some warning/them cleaning it would be nice.

After the tear off of the 3 layers of old shingle, they found that our roof needed more work than was first expected. Each added problem was discussed with my husband and approved by him before Turkmasters did the work. From the first estimate to the last day of cleanup, the communication was excellent and all work was done in an efficient, timely and professional manner. We are very pleased with the experience of working with Turkmasters and the results exceeded our expectations. Passersby have stopped to tell us how good the roof looks. We would recommend this company to others.

+ 0 moreObtained estimate from Moses in mid-July. He was prompt, personable, professional and articulate. He made sure I understood everything on his proposal and listened carefully to my questions and concerns. After obtaining several estimates I went with Turkmasters because their price was competitive and offered the most for the money. His estimate included 3 sheets of plywood should they be needed and clearly stated price for each additional sheet. There was some confusion about the date work was to be done, not sure if on my part or not. I expected them on the 21st, when no one showed by 9 am I called the office and was told I and quot;wasn't on the booksand quot; and she would have Moses call me. A short time later he called and job was scheduled for next day. Around 8am Moses showed up with a crew of apprx 14 men; went quickly to work putting tarps over porch, deck, and hottub. Job took most of day to complete and was hindered by a passing high wind and heavy rainstorm. On completion Moses asked me to check everything out and even assisted my climbing up on flat part of roofing to examine what was done! (I was particularly concerned about that area because it appeared to be in worst shape when I looked at it in early summer. I had one roofer actually tell me it didn't need to be replaced, he and quot;could just tweak it a bit!!!) Moses wanted to do cleanup of yards the next morning since it was late in afternoon by then. But when I explained that I needed to let my dog out into backyard they quickly cleaned it all cigarette butts , nails and roofing debris up before they left. Powerwashing and cleanup of front yard was done late in the afternoon the next day.
Description of Work: Complete tear-off on house & garage, replaced roofing on both as well as new gutters on garage.

And when they were finished, it was if they had never been there. The house and driveway were completely power washed. Someone came by a few days later to see if we were satisfied with the job. + 0 moreFound Turkmasters by accident when buying roofing supplies. The upper front porch on my old home was rotting away and leaking bad. After tearing off the old roof and rebuilding the porch myself, I went to a local building supplier to buy the material to roof the porch myself. After adding up the total cost of material, the associate helping with my supply order suggested that I hire Turkmasters. He claimed he used them for his own home, and that the price for my porch shouldn't be much more than my price for supplies. Within a few days of talking to Moses, I had a quote and tentative time frame. Turkmasters was excellent at getting my small job done quickly when the weather allowed. After the porch roof work, I made sure they got a chance on my total roof replacement the next summer, and they did not disappoint. Aggressive quote for the quality they guarantee. By far the best VALUE in a roofer I have met. There are cheaper roofers but I could not find one person who had a problem with a roof Turkmasters installed. That means a lot to me. I like that the owner Moses, is on the roof with the rest of the crew inspecting the work. He was very involved in the job. I didn't have any of the communication problems others did, they always returned my calls and delivered on all promises. I am so confident in the quality of work, that I'll use them again on our next home. In Summary: Flexible scheduling for the homeowner. Owner always on-time for all appointments. Lowest cost estimate for highest quality and quot;complete roofand quot; when compared with several other companies. We obtained 5 other estimates. Quality of work was excellent. Large crew was efficient and respectful. Left property very clean- metal swept driveway, neighbor's driveway, and lawn several times. Power washed porches and driveways (including our neighbors). Many neighbors commented how great the company was and also asked for estimates. We highly recommend this company and will use them again on our next home. Our address is 97 Parkside Avenue. When he first came for our estimate you could tell that he was very professional and confident in his company's ability to deliver a quality product at a competitive price. His crew completed the ranch in a day and we went from having one of the streets worst roofs to having one of the sharpest. He has a variety of shingles. We chose the Certainteed pro HD and its awesome. They kept the mess down during the work and really left our house much cleaner than I expected. As with any job I had questions, and with Moses actually being on site he answered them all. I would recommend him to EVERYONE.

+ 0 moreMoses was friendly, prompt, made our options crystal clear, and came through with flying colors. The roofers were professional, efficient, courteous, and clean. When the flashing over the porch wasn't perfect, Moses had it redone, replaced and painted a couple of clapboards to be sure it was perfect. Finally, they picked up and hauled away the branches they had cut back from the roofline and power washed our sidewalks. We're extremely satisfied with the work and service, and we'd give them an A+ if we could. I fought signing up for Angie's list for a long time, but this one search was worth the small investment.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. I contacted TurkMasters to do an emergency repair on a leak in the winter. They came quickly and made the needed repair. After experiencing the repair of the leak and how it was handled I decided to request an estimate for the entire roof replacement. Right from the initial contact for the estimate, the provider was professional , accurate and the price was very competitive with others roofers that I sought out. They completed the task when they said they would , they arrived on time, and worked in a very timely manner. All workers were polite and attended to their jobs. Re-roofing is a messy process on a 100 year old house. TurkMasters did a fantastic job of cleaning up every inch of space including all yards and walkways , scanning for nails, powerwashing my house and my neighbors housesand quot; on both sides. I could not have asked for better service. They monitored the weather closely since this was done in the spring and never left my house exposed to weather risks. I shouldn't need another roof in my life time, but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to given them a call. This is a family company that takes a great deal of pride in their work.

+ -1 moreDescription of Work: I was referred to Turk Masters from a friend who had them replace their roof (and their fathers) in the past couple years. We had a leak coming into our Great Room tray ceiling during the recent high winds and down poors. I was pleased that someone answered the phone on a Saturday. She was pleasant and helpful and scheduled an appt. to have Moe come out the following Wednesday April 17th in the morning. On that morning a different man came out named JR. He said Moe was recovering from an accident. After goiing into the attic and finding the source of the leak, and looking at the roof from the outside of the house, it looked like a few shingles needed to be repaired/replaced. He said the roof otherwise looked good. Quoted me a price of $400 dollars and said they could do the job the following Wednesday or Saturday. He took a picture to try to find a close match of the shingle and I said I would contact my builder to see what brand of shingle we used when we biult the house.Two days later (Friday the 19th) I called JR because it was pooring again and I wanted to ask if a tarp could be secured to prevent further possible water damage....it took me several minutes to refresh his memory of who I was and what they were going to presumably do for the repair. Once he remembered he said he would call me later that afternoon to confirm the date we would be on their schedule. He did not call back, however I called him again because I had talked with my builder and was able to get the name of the local shingle distributor for his information. He said "great we use that company as well, so shouldn't be hard to match the shingles". I told him close was fine, didnt have to be exact. He reassured me he would call me on Monday with a definate date for the job. Monday the 22nd came and went, no call. Tuesday the 23rd came and went, no call. Wednesday the 24th I finally called the office to voice my displeasure and to see if there was someone else I could speak with, like an owner perhaps. I spoke with the office person whom I originally scheduled with and relayed all the information above. She said Moe was the person in charge, and I said I would like to speak with him. With in 15mins I recieved a call From JR, not Moe. After the song and the dance about how he couldn't find the right shingle, and he was waiting for them to get back to him etc. etc.I said you need to contact your customer, even if you don't have any new news, so they are assured you haven't forgot about them. Simple, call the customer when you say you will....that's customer service. So after the apology he said "I have 13 guys doing a tear off tomorrow, I will grab one guy and be at your house in the morning to get yours done." He promised they would be there Thursday morning. Thursday came, no show, no call. Friday, no show, no call. Friday evening I called him to ask what was going on, and did they want this job, or did I need to look elsewhere? He said he was having yet another problem with the shingles, but thought he found a company with them. He promised he was driving out Saturday morning to personally pick them up, and then would be a my house to do the repair. He said he would call me as well that morning. Well this time he did actually call me....but as he said "I have unfortunate news, the boss gave all the workers the day off, and I have no one to do the job, I can't even get someone on the phone". Needless to say I releived Turk Masters from the inconveneince of doing my job. The incompetence and lack of professionalism is stunning! How company's like this that lack leadership and organization stay in business is incredible. To have to keep following up as the customer, and practically beg a company to let you spend money with them is absurd! All we hear is people need work, people want work, good paying jobs....and then a company like Turk Masters does everything in their power to make it a truly misserable experience, and make it impossible for you to hire them!

+ -1 moreThis company totally surprised me (for the better!) From the first phone call, they were professional, accommodating and very prompt to stop by and see the house. They brought a very helpful mock-up roof section to clearly explain how all the flashing, roofing, venting pieces etc. worked together. They weren't pushy, they showed what products they used (Certainteed) and gave a list of recently completed homes I could go see first hand. When the work began, I was able to park in my driveway every night, they cleaned the area better than when I had left it that morning. Every interaction I had with them was fantastic, these guys are the nicest contractors I've ever met. At the end of the job (only two days for a complete 3-layer tear off) we walked the site and everything looked great, they are craftsmen and it shows, every detail was so well done. I had skylights put in at the same time and the amount of care and precision really impressed me. These guys make you feel like family, almost sad to see them leave!

+ -1 moreTurkmasters was a pleasure to do business with. It's a family business, and the family does the work themselves, not just farming it out like others do. The family is always on the job site, working right along the crew. Total professionals. My roof was in need of a total tear-off. There was 4 layers of existing shingles on some sections. The tear-off revealed a tongue-and-groove roof, with many of the and quot;tonguesand quot; sort of spread-apart, exposing the attic. There was also lots of rotten wood, and a hole near the chimney big enough to put another chimney through. Turkmasters took tons of pictures of the damaged roof, and then re-sheet-ed the entire roof. After the roof was done and the crew was gone, the Father of the family and a helper stayed behind and went over the entire yard with a magnet, a couple of times, ensuring to pick up every nail that might have been left behind. When it was all over you wouldn't have even known they were there, except for the new roof. The estimate I received before the work was started was the most affordable out of the six I got. Even after the re-sheeting, the roof was still cheaper than the next estimate up, and none of the others included a total re-sheeting of the roof. The chimney flashing, new ridge vents, ice shields, drip edges, and shiny vent covers were all included. No hidden surprises. And believe me, if any roof was capable of delivering those unexpected extra expenses, it would have been mine. None here with Turkmasters. And when you write the check, you feel good about handing it over to a hard working family like these people. They earned every penny.
Description of Work: A total tear-off of the old roof was done. The entire roof was re-sheet-ed with new plywood. New felt, ice shields and shingles were installed. The chimney was re-flashed, and all vents got shinny new covers. Ridge vents were installed along the entire length of the house.

The roof was completed in two days and the work was good, however there was some damage to the siding on my house as well as to my nieghbors fence and solar lights. I notified the owner and he said he would take care of it. It has been two months and the owner has stopped returning my calls. The repairs have not been made. He did have someone drop off a set off lights for my nieghbor in the middle of September, but has made no attempt to fix the damage to my siding or my nieghbors fence. The roof was done well and the owner was very professional and quick to act until the check was cashed. Now I will have to pay someone to fix my siding and my nieghbors fence for damage that was caused by Turkmasters. Could cost up to $1000

Professional, courteous and respectful to not only me but also my neighbors.Knowledgable, expeditious and efficient.Came with a large crew of 14 workers and completed the tear off and roof replacement in 2 days.Tarped and protected my house as well as neighbor's houses, including landscaping/flower beds.Clean-up was exceptional ... broom swept and blower used, then magnet roller to pick up loose nails.Incredibly thorough pressure washing of my driveway and sidewalks and house areas dirtied by the tear off. My ajoining neighbors properties received the same thorough cleaning and attention to detail.Returned on day 3 for several hours to finish up a couple downspouts, apply the silver sealant to my second floor flat, rubber roof and to clean the attic. Broom swept my walk up attic, bagged and hauled away all debris. The owner as well as the crew were super nice and very friendly. An exceptional deal as well as a great experience all around.I could not be more pleased with the end result... my roof, gutters, chimney all look amazing. I will definitely use them again ... in fact, they will return on 9/3 to repoint all my foundation mortar (field stone as well as brick).They have a full time trades mason on staff. + -1 moreWe signed a contract with them to do a complete tear-off on our roof (3 story house with dormers and front porch) and our garage. A week later, we had a major leak. They sent over a team to patch the roof for us to hold us over for the 3 weeks we were waiting to have our roof done. We ended up getting scheduled during the 4th of July week. They did our whole job in 2 days, working 7:30 am to 8 pm at night to finish it so my husband could join us on vacation. When we got back, the yard was cleaner than when we left. A neighbor said they brought a big magnet machine around to pick up all the scraps and nails.
Description of Work: Turkmasters was great. They provide a quality product at a good pice. Their package comes with 50 yr certainteed shinglesice shieldfelt paperflashing ridge ventsguttersextensive cleanup We got a quote from another company who offered the same shingle, but at an increased price. + -1 moreThey are efficient and the owner knows his products, and he needs to return calls a little better, but I was satisfied with the job. They should have just cleaned up a little better because there are little pieces of shingles and I am gardening now and there are little pieces here. They were careful of my plants and overall they did a good job and I was satisfied with their work. They should be a little bit better with communication for arranging the job, but they were good and they are in fact working on my street now on somebody's house. Their price was good and the quality of their work seems good.

+ -1 moreI bought my first home two months ago. Recently my home owners insurance dropped me for having a bad roof. I was stuck with 3 layers of asphalt shingles and the original 1920's cedar shingle. I had several estimates from $9,050 to $11,750. Most people said it would be a two to three day job. Turk Masters came in at $7980, matched every service the other guys promised and finished the job in under 8 hours. They cleaned up well. They were professional and polite. They covered my home and my neighbors in a protective tarp. The only problem was they gave me 24 hours notice to when they would be at the house. Everything turned out great in the end and I get to keep my home!

Install OSB board 6 ft ice and water shield 30 lb felt paper new drip edging corner flashing tuck-pointed the chimney 50 yr warranty clean out and reused my original gutters cleaned up nice and powerwashed the driveway
