We have a giant willow on the bank of a pond. Tony was the only one who told us that carpenter ants were eating away at the rotten trunk and the tree would eventually fall. We needed the tree out of there asap because we have a fence being installed next week. Tony was exceptional and professional. This company has been around for generations and know what they are doing. They came the next day to accommodate our schedule. Very happy with this service.

Tl;dr.... The owner is a fast talking sales guy with no knowledge of trees and has terrible communication skills. Don't expect to have the job completed in a timely fashion. This will likely be the last generation of Tony's Tree Service if my experience is any indication of how they do business. -- Let's go on a tree removal journey, with Tony and his crew. Starts off with Tony showing up late, like hours late, for a tree removal estimate. I figured he wasn't going to show up. Then when he does show up, he can't figure out how to ring the Ring Doorbell and pushes on the camera part (not relevant to the service provided but really speaks towards this guy's awareness level). He's one of those big talkers, has a story and a joke about everything. Typical sales guy, we all know the type. Says how lucky I am that the owner came out to give me a quote. Talks about how 'BIG' his company is and how many 'BIG' trucks he has. Immediately starts in with the "Brother you got a serious problem," "These trees are a real danger" carpenter ants, home damage blah...blah...blah. Check out the photos below. What tree expert would say those are hollowed out? This was just a scare tactic to get the service booked. Notice his website and ads always include something like "don't let this happen to you ."Tony saw huge trees and big money, so said what he needed to say to make a sale. The contract he uses is a standard form contract (it's attached here with private info blacked out). Read it carefully as it basically leaves the customer responsible for any of Tony's potential negligence and fails to establish clear time frames as to when the work will be done. Good luck getting a hold of anyone after they start the work. Takes about 20 calls and a threat of a fraud claim to get a call back, constantly leaving messages with their answering service. (He likely employs an answering service because the only people that work for him are his family and immigrants. All of whom are nice people, but the only ones willing to work for this type of person.) Kind of annoying when your backyard is littered with tree trunks because of their half finished job. Tony, himself, told me the trunks on the lawn would not kill the grass as they sat there because the only thing that could kill grass is acid..... Our contract was signed in September, started the next morning at 8am (less than 12 hours after signed) and finally finished about a week ago. So 7 months to fulfill a contract that took just 12 hours to start, keep in mind they take 95% the day it starts. End of season cash grab? And yes, the trunks did kill the grass. Needless to say I would recommend going somewhere else. Anywhere else. His "large fleet" is more like a junk yard, historical satellite images and street views allude to this. Most of those vehicles sit there until he throws his own parade. Seriously, look at this YouTube video... [*** Link removed ***] Oh I almost forgot to mention, he gives you an ugly green magnet for your fridge.

Tony's Tree and Landscaping was 'THE BEST TREE SERVICE EVER" and did an amazing job! I would recommend them to everyone I know! The best service you could imagine it was really second to none! He worked with me in regards to catering to my budget so that we were all to take down trees that were causing a hazard. I saw them doing all my neighbors tree work, Tony personally came over himself and he was such a great friend guy who was a knowledgeable class act. His crews were hard working, friendly and knowledgeable. Tony gave us a great deal and same day service. Tony did what he said what he was going to do when he was going to do it and for the great price he quoted!! I will refer him to all my friends and family!

**dont fear tonys tree was here** We had our 64 year old tree crack in the middle of the trunk (8feet in diameter). The tree came down on the house. We were just getting home and were lucky enough not to get crushed by the massive tree. We called the clevehill fire who responded really quick. They said it is a nyseg issue. So they put a call out for us to nyseg. Nyseg came to take pictures at 1230A.M. for them to call this morning and say they don't touch the issue if the tree is on the house. Called tonys and they responded in minutes. And crew was here within 10 min to take care of the problem. Due to quick response they saved our home. Unfortunately NYSEG is a big waste of time. And the poor crew is risking their lives with live wires that should of been taken care of with nyseg. Tonys is the only one that came thru to help us and very nice guys. Would reccomend them in a heartbeat!!!! Emergency tree service at its best. If we would of waited any longer we could of had a house fire or with the amount of weight on our house had the roof cave in. We thru a ball to tony and he came thru with the TOUCHDOWN. Tonys tree service definitely has all the right trucks...equipment...staff...experience..training...Knowledge and customer service is off the chain. They truly live up to their motto.. "We go out on a limb for you"

Best service, best pricing, professional family owned business. My family has used Tony's Tree & Landscaping for 15 years because they do the job right, on time and with no hassles. They have the latest equipment, like their new 145 foot boom remote control robotic tree cutter that can reach out, grab, and then cut any tree without destroying your property. They also have other equipment like their spider lift bucket boom rig on tracks that can fit through a three foot gate and can reach 65 feet with ease. We only use Tony's Tree & Landscaping because they get trees down safely and efficiently. They're the best we found.

My father hired Tony to trim and cut trees. They showed up 1 week before Christmas, berried trucks in back yard, trim branches left in yard. They promised to fix yard in spring. My father passed away in January so I took this responsibility over for my Mom who is 80. Made 5-6 calls each time getting answering service. Tony would make a date to meet me at my Mom and he would either not show up or be 2 hours late. My Dad gave him a deposit of $1350 which I think is wrong. However after finally meeting with Tony he then told me he was not going to fix the lawn per small print on his contract. Also we changed our minds and were hoping to receive a big portion of the down payment returned. But Tony went on to tell me he spent tons of money and offered a small refund. I would not use this company at all, he is a good used car salesman!!!!!

This past June, my wife and I had Tony’s Tree & Landscaping, Inc. remove 5 Ash trees in our yard as well as remove the stumps. My wife has been, and still is, dealing with a rare form of skin cancer where she has had over 60 surgeries. Also, during this time, I had back surgery. After the back surgery, I was back in the hospital a couple weeks later due to my appendix and another serious digestive issue. So, bills have been high and money running low. Tony’s Landscaping was very generous in helping us financially, especially since the Emerald Ash Borer beetle was killing our trees, and they needed to be removed soon. This tree removal service was highly recommended, especially since 21 out of 23 houses on our street used them and seemed very happy with them. We couldn’t be happier! The workers and the owners were extremely friendly! As far as the job, we were very impressed with how the crew worked so efficiently as a team in a very timely manner with a very clean final result! When the stump foreman, Tony Sr. came out to remove the stumps, I asked if he could show me how the stump grinder worked. It was awesome that he took the time to show me! It is very rare that you would see owners of a company arrive on a job and not only work alongside their employees, but also take the time to interact with and be so courteous to their customers. We ran into Tony Jr. months later and he actually remembered details from our health situations and was genuinely concerned with how we were doing. This is definitely a good hearted, quality company that takes pride in what they do and their work shows it! I would highly recommend them to anybody!

Starting in April, I made periodic phone calls to the company, leaving messages asking when work would begin. My calls were not returned. Because they had my deposit, I could not check with other companies. I found shrubs on sale at Russell's, and left a message to that effect, even saying that I would have them delivered, but they still did not return my calls. Finally, a secretary called to say that weather had backed them up, and they would be out ASAP. She suggested that I contact the Better Business Bureau, which I did. (My final review is on their website., along with several others.) I also contacted channel 4's "Call 4 Action". A woman there was extremely helpful, and I proceeded as she suggested. She also said that they had had quite a few complaints about that company. Finally, in June, the work was begun. By then, my gardens were full of weeds. One of their workers pulled out and destroyed an entire shade garden! (I was at work when the work was begun; I had spoken with their "crew" (2 people) before I left for work. I was appalled when I returned home, called Tony's Trees, called channel 4, and was told not to pay in full. I called the company back, and left a message that I was extremely upset. That night, when I was in my fenced-in yard with my dogs, Tony and two other men entered my yard, and Tony told me I needed to pay in full! At that point, I should have called the police, but the "workers" were coming back the next day, so I didn't. They did come back, and the work was finished by early July; I actually stayed home from work and helped them. I paid the about $1,000 less than that which was due, and wrote the company a letter. When their billing person called me, I suggested she read my letter, which was enclosed with a check for the balance of the work, which I had sent upon its completion, and which she had not read. The company did not contact me again.
Description of Work: This company had trimmed my trees the year before, at which time I had asked about adding shrubs to my yard. I called them in March, 2012, and contracted with them to plant shrubs and add mulch to all of my gardens as soon as weather permitted. I was to be "first on the list", according to Tony. I gave him a deposit.

They wasted hours of my time. They were 2 hours late and did not give me the courtesy of a call informing me of this. They returned my call after I called them and twice told me in ten minutes they would be there and showed up an hour later. They then tried to sell me another service I did not want and told them so, but the estimator kept mentioning it.

THIS IS THE SAME COMPANY AS TONY'S TREE LANDSCAPING.... Unless you're interested in a major headache, don't bother calling Tony's. You will only get the answering service. You will get calls back from Tony until he gets you to sign a contract. We even talked on a Sunday night at 11;00 PM! After contract is signed there is never a call back when messages are left with his answering service. So if you sign with him save his cell phone number when he does call you back because that is the only way you will ever talk to him after a contract is signed. Afet working with Tony the owner as to which trees would be cut down he had the best price by far. Although it did take some work to get there as he wanted to add on a bunch of work on other trees that I was not interested in. After contract was signed he said he would have the trees removed in 7 to 10 days. 18 Days After contract signed - Tony said work would be done and crew would be there by 9:30 so I took day off from work. Tony showed up at 11:00 after multiple calls and texts. He put "X" on trees and said his crew was behind and wasn't sure they would make it over. After discussions he agreed to get 1 crew over to remove tree so swing set that was in garage for 2 weeks for my 4 year old and 2 year old could be installed 26 days after contract signed - A Thursday - Tony's crew is scheduled, but call off because of rain. They next day, Friday with a rainy forecast I stay home from work for the morning. His crew shows up only to take down part of my fence and sit in their trucks for 2 hours in the rain. No work done. Crew leaves in 1 truck and leaves 70 ft bucket truck, chipper and box/dump truck in street in fron of house blocking street and neighbors drive ways. Saturday morning trucks still there 1 calls to Tony's answering service and direct to his mobile not returned. 3rd call an hour later finally gets call back and Tony still does not remoe trucks as requested. Amherst Police were called and made call to Tony and an hour later he showed to move the trucks as the police waited for him. Day 30 - Monday - the crew shows up and takes down tree. His crew did an AWESOME job. If only they could have been there in 7 to 10 days as Tony promised! Day 32 - Wednesday 3:45 crew shows up to grind stump. Tony sends text to me to tell me he will be there for "settlement." He is at house at 6:00 wanting his full payment. Which I gave him to get rid of him! Due to the inconviences he caused me, he offers to give me a free load of topsoil to fill in low spots in yard where trees were. I accept, again because Tony keeps talking and I want him gone. I tell him he crew is welcome to drop the load of dirt any day. I don't ever plan to call Tony again and do not expect to ever see the load of topsoil.

The service itself was great. I was not in a rush but when I was told they could do it in conjunction with another job and expect them in a few days and they didn't show up for weeks and didn't return my calls, I got quite aggravated. Just when i was about to hire someone else, i got a call that they were coming the next day. The crew was professional and did an excellent job of doing just what I asked and cleaning up quite nicely.
