t Type: Problems with Product/Service Status: UnresolvedMore info 5/10/2022 I signed a contract for a floor to be ripped out and a new one to be installed. The contractor who ripped out the pre existing floor destroyed my moldings and I was told they would be replaced by the store manager. Then when it was time to install the floor they couldn’t find a installer so they hired one that has never worked for the store. He installed a uneven floor with chips and two different colored floors. The wood floor is now higher than the porcelain,which they promised would not happen, there are multiple tiles uneven with tiles sticking up everywhere. They promised to redo the floor and said they have to find a contractor first which never happened. It’s been months and they never even came back to reinstall the sink they removed. My wife is sick with terminal cancer and they left her with no sink. They keep coming up with excuses but never do anything about this botched job not up to industry standards. They even blamed the fact that my wife is sick so they hired the only contractor available to get it done for her. If that was the case they should of reviewed his work before ruining our home and disappearing. They called me once stating they had no contractor and if I can find one . I text him back that I may have one but decided that was ridiculous idea . Do Not Use This Company If You have A Nice Home. Your Better Off Using A Guy On The Street Working For Food!!! I called for pricing information and they acted like I was a little off to think they could give me a ball park price for the vinyl I had already chosen. I gave then the manufacturer's name and the pattern name and number and asked how much it was per square yard. How hard is that? Then asked about installation pricing, which is usually done by square yard also, and they acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. 'm 66 years old! I've most likely done far more home improvement projects than the girl on the phone has...DIY and contracted! She was very condescending and ended the conversation with some vague numbers and the admonishment that at some point I would need to get in my car and go to the store to arrange the transaction, even though I had already told I HAD gone to A store and chosen the vinyl that I gave her the info for... We could not be more pleased with the salesman, the installer, the linoleum etc. Tontine Carpet is a very professional, reliable and friendly company to deal with. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding. We are very pleased with linoleum we selected and the salesman was helpful , friendly, and customer oriented We would definitely use this provider again and highly recommend them to others..

Went to store to get details and look at samples. Store poorly organized. Sales people did not know about Angie List promotion Found someone that did samples seemed to be of low quality installation seemed expensive I went to Home depot and got a better deal and organization

When we went to Tontine (Union Rd, West Seneca) they were extremely helpful in explaining the differences in the floors. The have a 'demo" box in store that allows you to see how your floor looks in all kinds of lights--amazing the change in the floor's color. The Salesman (Chuck) would not allow us to make a final decision until we took a sample home and matched it to our new cabinets. The installer (Rick) was excellent. He was on time and very knowledgeable about the floor and how to care for it. He (Rick) did a great job installing the floor and cleaned up after himself. We feel we got a quality floor with an excellent installer. Very satisfied.

Not good........................do not use. Their installation was VERY VERY POOR IE mismatched patterns it was third at best. Stay away from them.

They were honest and they did a good job! The installer was good and we were happy with how it turned out!

This carpet company was great. They did everything right and my job for them was big. I had about two inches of water that had been sitting on my old carpet. It was a lot of work to get that one out and put the new one in. They handled the work load very well and I felt very pleased with their work.

Tontine was very prompt. The quality of work was great. The carpet did have a manufacturers defect. They agreed to replace it. We have been very satisfied with the company.

It took Tontine a couple of days to find someone that could install the sub-floor and the ceramic. I also had them install indoor/outdoor carpeting on the front porch.
