Description of Work: Very disappointed in The Tile Shop. I purchased tile about 3 years ago for my kitchen backsplash project. Two salesmen from the store came and measured and ordered it for me, and I went to the store to pick it up. Circumstances beyond my control (was caretaker for my parents for quite a while, they passed away, had to sell their house) prevented me from completing the work until now. I had an independent contractor come and give me an estimate for the job, and he was amazed at all the extra tile I was sold - he said I have about $600 worth of tile I don't need!! (Example - he said I need about 3 pencil trim, and I was sold 54!!) The local store here (Union Rd., Cheektowaga, NY) will not refund for what I don't use because it's past the 6-month refund policy. I think in this case, and because it was THEIR salesmen who measured and ordered it all, they could have make an exception to their policy.

 + -1 moreValerie at The Tile Shop was outstanding to work with. She showed us lots of backsplash tile options and took into consideration the other parts of our remodel. She helped us pick out a tile that we had installed. The tile looks great and we couldn't be any happier with the results. Valerie and all of the staff at Tile Shop were great. They even referred us to another nearby tile shop to purchase grout when they did not have a color that met our needs. Fantastic store to work with.
