Called Bob from Rand R fence for an estimate and he was at our house a day or two later. Good price and quick service. He called when he said he'd call, and Bob and his crew showed up when they said they would. Great communication, very punctual, and an excellent end result! My wife and I are very happy with the new fence. We have absolutely zero complaints and we would certainly recommend Rand R fence to all of our friends. The fence was installed less than two weeks after our first call to Rand R. Highly recommended!

Called and made appointment for an estimate. Bob and his son arrived together. We reviewed the scope of work - 2 sections of pressure treated privacy fence on each side of the house and transitioned to vinyl coated black chain link for the entire back yard. I like to hire veterans, Bob is a Navy guy, and i knew i could trust him to do a good job. We agreed on a price and they were able to start the job about a week later. They dropped off the materials ahead of time and they started the work a day or two later. Day 1 posts set and privacy panels and gate built - all the posts were set in wet concrete. Day 2 was spent running the chainlink and installing the panels and gates. Everything went very smoothly. It took a two man crew about 2.5 days to finish the job. Quality of the final product was good, but would have liked the chain link gate to be tighter against the fence post, and the bottom of the chain link fence to have more tension. Those were minor issues that I was able to correct myself, but I felt like I could call them back if I really wanted them to make a correction. I was happy I hired these guys, because the next lowest estimates were way more than I was willing to spend. It wasn't the best quality money can buy, and if money was no object I would have gone with a thicker guage wire/chain link pipes, higher quality wood, etc. The key here is that the job was done as we agreed, in a reasonable time, with acceptable quality, and a great price. I feel like i got great value for my money.

Horrible experience

I did not feel Bob was really trying to work with me. Bob seemed like a nice man and gave me one suggestion to help lower the price, but it wasn't much better. The estimate was way more than I was budgeted for. I did not hire R and R fence and will not be recommending R and R to friends and family.

All work done without any damage to plants or tree. Good clean up at end of job. I had two other bids, both more expensive. One called fo using redwood and the other for a heavier size of poles and boards. I felt the lighter treated lumber was good for my needs.

Of the three candidates for the job from Angies list, Rand R was the first to respond. He made the suggest to install the transition section. One other candidate never got back to me and the third was more expensive and did not offer what we wanted. Rand R's price was lower for exactly what we wanted. The crew arrived when scheduled. They were very professional. Bob, the owner led the crew and was there all of the time. They completed the job in less than one day. They cleaned up well. Fewer plants than I had expected were damaged and several that I thought would have to be removed were saved.

Very well! Offered a much less expensive repair option than the other company. Very responsive and friendly. Came out to the house when he said he would. Did a great job and cleaned up. Did a little extra, too and did not charge more!

Bob and his crew did an absolutely wonderful job. The fence looks perfect. They were neat, punctual, and very nice. Even on the days Bob wasn't there, his crew worked so hard and were extremely polite, and always told me what was going on each step of the way. Of the 5 estimates we got, Rand R was the lowest. I assume he keeps it low because he doesn't advertise but I'm going to recommend him to everyone that I can. Beautiful work and very professional. On top of that, when everyone else was telling us they couldn't start for at least 2 weeks, Bob got the job done in time for a party I was having. I couldn't be more thrilled with Rand R and my new fence!

Don't bother with people who don't even show on the estimate, as to me, that's an indication of how reliable they'd be on job. I'm batting 0 for 2 in Angie's list so far. Just joined last month and called 2 fence people and one never called me back after the first call which I returned, and now this one never showed up for the estimate. I have a new eye Dr. I'm going to next month per Angie's list so I'll let you know how that goes.

Excellent. Fence looks better than it has in the 17 years we have been in this house. Should have called them years ago. Great team; very courteous and professional.

I tried to get estimates from five or six different fence companies, and this was the ONLY company that showed up. I had limited time to get the job done before leaving for the summer, and Bob was very sympathetic and managed to start the job within about 10 days. My neighbors were very concerned about the process, and Bob listened to them and adjusted everything to their great satisfaction. They were careful with our grape vine that grew on the old fence. It was a very positive experience. We calculated out the price of the fencing and the wages of the workers and decided it was a reasonable price -- since we coudn't compare with other estimates.

He did an excellent job. I feel got a bargain for the work that was done...very honest. He spent the day getting the permit for me due to the fact the home was in the historical district. He took photos and fence samples to present to the society in charge of approving. I would definitely recommend to others. Definitely earned my respect in several regards. The fence was built by hand by piece by piece.

R and R Fence was very nice and had great customer service. They were fast and reasonably priced. I would recommend them to friends and hire them for future jobs.
