Precision Door Service

We recently purchased the house and have had issues with the garage door. The main problem is that the door and opener were installed at a downward angle causing interference and rubbing. As per the Angie's list deal Precision came out and replaced the rollers and did a great job of re-aligning the tracks and adjusting the opener to make it function. Unfortunately to make things right we would have to move the giant I beam that's in the way, or buy a jackshaft style opener. The technician was knowledgeable about the installation, the problems and their products that could help us. He was not at all pushy.

The problem was fixed on immediately. No waiting or problems. Excellent service. Would definitely use again.

They were nice and they got the job done in about 30 minutes. The scheduling was really good.

Robert Dressler, the technician informed me that the tracker is too heavy and old and the way they replace the roller that they could not do it the way it was set up.

I had them put two doors in back in October. Their service was good, price was high but they were very nice. After a snow storm in October, the guy who was plowing the snow accidentally ran into the door destroying it. So I called Precision Door Service and the tech came out right away that afternoon, it was the same guy who installed the door. He then told me to call the office to schedule the service. When I called and spoke with the owner, Anthony Paruta. The tech told me it would be $600 to replace the doors. However, Anthony got upset because the tech quoted me a lower price. So they sent a different tech out to secure the order. I’ve never seem him before, he came late at night. Mind you I live in a rural area so when it’s dark it’s dark. So then he had some worked to do on the other door that was not working, when he finished he came into my home, stood in the door way of my kitchen and asked if I wanted him to take his shoes off. I said no and told him I do not want him inside my house because I was home alone. He then left and was angry. The next morning I noticed my flower beds/pots was run over. Another flower pot was at the end of my 100 ft driveway. I then called Precision and told him what had transpired. He didn’t know anything about it and said he was going to talk to the tech. When I called again to get a date for the insulation he informed me he did not order the door because he thought I did not want it but was just thinking about it. I think this guy is reluctant to replacing my door because of the damages. So I’m without a door and have damages in my flowerbed/ flower pot. When I was talking to the owner and told him I will review him on Angie’s List, he said he does not care because he has 110 reports. I felt the guy was bulling me because I was a woman

I had purchased the deal hoping they could fix my garage door opener. However, the opener was too far gone to be fixed. Michael was very knowledgeable and gave me several options. Explained what to do to keep the door opening easily, adjusted the spring, and balanced the door. After the installation he cleaned the area and took with him all the old pieces. I would highly recommend this company.

He showed up on time and did exactly what the Big Deal offer stated he would. He also took some time to try and trouble shoot some other issues that were not included in the deal. He explained everything that he was doing and answered all of my questions.

The appointment was set up quickly after purchasing the garage door tune-up deal. The workman arrived on time, was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Inspection of the door revealed the torsion spring was not functioning and replacement was recommended, which I agreed to have done as well. Pricing was fair. If there is anything that might have been improved, in my opinion, it would be the billing statement which does not clearly show the Angie's List deal although the bottom line charge reflects the difference.

They were excellent to work with and they did a nice job. They were very business like. They were honest and direct with me. They worked quickly and efficiently.

The "deal" was for roller replacement for the door. We have an insulated garage that we heat in the colder months. There are vinyl insulation pieces on either side of the door. The rollers were misplaced, and now the door is not going up straight. On one side, the vinyl piece is completely shredded by the door, and gets worse with every use. On the other side, the technician removed the vinyl piece he told us he didn't have a replacement with him, and that he would have to come back. I've had to shimmy the door so that it will work properly. It doesn't come down straight. I have not been able to have the heat on in the garage for about a month. We have contacted at least twice because we haven't heard anything else from the company, and the part has still not been replaced. We are starting complaint resolution with Angie's List to get this resolved.

Everything went smoothly. No problems encountered. Staff was professional and pleasant. Came and went within an hour.

06/10/2014: Preventive maintenance resulted in need for new garage doors (~30 yrs. old). Parts performing poorly; noisy; leakage at both ends of door closure area. Precision Tech, Ryan Buil, performed preventive/ roller replacement. He was very knowledgeable and exhibited great attention to detail. He answered all my questions and provided me with brochures of new garage door models, materials, new/ repair warranties, color chart, etc. Agreed to purchase new doors in near future. 09/08/2014: Sales Tech, Mike Holbok, performed measurements, product review, my selections and finalized estimate. I was fully informed of all company policies regarding future repairs and coverage warranties. The quality of materials, parts warranty and knowledge of their service is what sealed the deal. Appreciated the call policy for work assignments; they call 15 min. before arrival. 10/30/2014: New Doors installed. Original date for installation was 10/02/2014 but I rescheduled twice due to new concrete driveway installed earlier than expected. Due to custom, colored doors, estimated TAT was 4-6 wks. Ready in 25dys. Two installers, Ryan Buil & Ben Kelly, worked long and hard in cold weather to complete the job (~6-7hr.). They cleaned up sight as best as possible considering it was dark for the last 45min. My 1.5 garage door purrs when it opens/ closes; what a joy to hear. Rear door is smaller and slightly louder but normal sounding. I love my two remote door openers installed right by back door in attached garage; so easy to access; it even has a function during vacations to prevent access. Also have an exterior keypad entry system; added bonus. I would highly recommend Precision Door Service for anyone in need of garage door repairs, maintenance or new purchases. Prompt service, excellent results. I have the original wood door from 1956 on the house and he was able to tune it up so that it works like new.

Service was great received call before repairman appeared informing me of his ETA. When arrived he assets the situation made some recommendations. After approving his recommendations, He did a GREAT JOB.

It went well. They were very professional and did a good job. He did have to come back the next day to tweak some things but they were very responsive and did good work. I would use them again if I needed to.

The service technician was very good about explaining what he was doing and what the issues were. He even showed me the simple things I could myself to keep the door running smoothly. There was no high pressure tactics to make me spend more money on things that were not needed.

My wife informed me of a problem after the top rail started to be pulled off the door as she was leaving for work. Figuring that I waned it done quickly and done right I hopped on Angie's List and found Precision Door. I called for an app. at about 7:45am and the tech was there by 8:45am. He was professional and neat. Pat Murrett was his name. Friendly and very efficient. He even cleaned up as he went. He assessed the situation and provided recommendations, no hard sell. He left the decision up to me as to how to proceed and I have no doubt that he would have done the quick fix had I opted to go that way. He installed a new Toruemaster Spring Replacement, new wheels, balanced the door and lubed everything. He explained everything as he went and I was very satisfied. I will be passing along the company name to my neighbors, as all the houses were built around the same time and the life expectancy for the mechanical components is nearing the end. Highly recommend this company. Great Job!
