+ -1 moreOn the internet, Merchant Overstock ornaments also appear as being from another company. I was extremely disappointed considering that I had spent half a day comparing items and prices with other websites. While Merchant Overstock did not have every item I needed, their prices were much lower than other vendors and the shipping charges were the same. I also was using several gift certificates from the internet which is why I used that website. The ornaments arrived in a large "homemade" box, meaning two boxes had been cut and taped together. Not a good sign. Although there was lots of bubble wrap, the individual boxes were made of flimsy clear acrylic. Many of the ornaments were scratched or dinged. And this couldn't have happened in the package, it means they were mishandled or possibly returned. If the condition speaks for the quality of Merchant Overstock items I would avoid using them.
Description of Work: I am planning to put up a live 9 foot Christmas tree this year, after having moved from California to Chicago and not having a large Christmas tree for six years. I either sold or donated most of my non-sentimental glass ornaments before I moved since I knew they wouldn't make the trip very well. I wanted to purchase a large quantity (over 200) of glass ball ornaments in a variety of colors, finishes and sizes. My needs were very specific, colors such as kiwi green, moss green, lichen green, antique gold, chocolate brown, bronze, copper and cognac. The finishes had to be matte or shiny. The sizes ranged from 1.25" to 3.75". I also needed to find a company that could ship the ornaments safely and at a reasonable price so that they would arrive quickly and in good condition. This was my first and last experience with Merchant Overstock which I used via the internet.
