Jim was prompt in returning my call and came by for an estimate the next day. It was quite a bit less than I expected. He added central air conditioning to our existing furnace and installed a programmable thermostat. He thoroughly explained every step of the process, and was frank in telling us that we might find that the a/c on the second floor worked less well because of our duct system. The installation took two days (afternoon of day 1, morning of day 2). He and his crew were careful, courteous, and cleaned up everything; they were very friendly to my loud dog. The system works beautifully on both the first and second floors-- what a difference! Jim also told me that we did not have a high quality furnace filter, and gave us a box of better filters for the furnace for free, and gave some advice on repairs we should consider making to our electrical system and the name of an electrician. A really nice guy!

They were the only company I called that responded in a timely manner. They were able to come out that day which was great considering it is a busy time of the year to get your A/C fixed. They explained everything to me, answered all my questions, and were able to complete the repairs the same day. Service men were very polite and professional! Great experience!

Provider was contacted for a second opinion on a furnace repair of which another vendor said it would need to be replaced at a cost of thousands of dollars. This company checked my furnace and also checked for carbon monoxide leaks and found none. They.suggested a cleaning that could wait until Spring.

They did a great job. They were clear on costs. They showed up when they said they would. When the new boiler developed a perplexing problem (not their fault) they stayed on it until it was properly fixed, assuring me they would keep working on it until it ran properly. Once they figured out the problem (I think it was a faulty igniter) we have had a warm house during this bitterly cold winter. The greatest thing I could say about them is, I trust them.

Wonderful. Fantasic! Painless! I have told anyone who is talking about heating and cooling contractors to call JP. Funace and airfilter and AC coils in place and working great . AC installattion in the spring . Very tidy and pleasant to people to have in my home great job and working like a charm. I also own a duplex and they installed 2 furnaces and 2 AC coils and 2 humifiers in it and the installation was smooth from beginning to end at both jobs sites.

My wife and I recently purchased a big old home in the Village of Kenmore. Given that the existing furnace in the house was a monstrous unit that was over 40 years old, a new energy efficient furnace was at the top of an extensive list of repairs needed on the house. We chose JP Heating and Cooling to do the work and couldn?t be happier with our decision. A number of factors influenced our decision to select JP Heating and Cooling. It was important to us to select a company that had a long history of doing quality work for its customers? JP has been in business for over three decades. We liked the idea that the owner, Jim Perusich, only did one installation at a time in an effort to give each job proper attention. Pushy salesmen irritate the heck out of me, so I was especially impressed by the fact that there was no ?hard sell? associated with Jim?s assessment of our needs. His only interest was giving us an excellent heating system at a reasonable price. Two quick stories that might be of interest to potential HVAC customers: * Due to the age of the furnace, my wife and I expected that we would need to replace a significant amount of duct work, but Jim assured us that most of our duct work was actually in great shape. He could have replaced a bunch of ducts, added $1,000-$1,500 to the bill, and we wouldn?t have been wise enough to know the difference. My sense is that Jim has been in business for over 30 years because he refuses to take advantage of potential customers. * Our house is over 3000 sq. ft. and Jim had some questions about the size and configuration of our heating unit. At no cost to us, he brought in an engineer to look at the job and make recommendations. A guy with a big ego might have felt uncomfortable seeking outside guidance, but Jim?s only interest was getting the job done right. Our experience with JP Heating and Cooling was one of the best experiences we?ve ever had with a contractor. They?ll be our first call for any of our HVAC needs in the future.

they were GREAT!! They took the time to do the job right. Every detail was looked after and they left my basement cleaner than when they came. I would recommend this family owned business to everyone. The cost was right in line with the other estimates that I received.

installation went smooth. He was here when he said he would be and finished when he said he would.

We are very pleased. One of the wall units cools our whole downstairs area. The other is in our upstairs bedroom. Our remaining 3 bedrooms, which we only use for company, are cooled with the attic unit. The work was quite extensive. Jim and his son, worked effortlessly and quietly.

I had carbon monoxide leak that required the gas company to come out. They discovered a gas leak as well in my furnace. The first company to come out to give me an estimate barely looked at it and simply told me I needed a new furnace. Fortunately for me, the rep from the gas company told me I only needed a section of the piping replaced so I knew I was being ripped off, thanked them for the estimate and showed them the door. After I checked Angie's list, I found these gentleman. What a breath of fresh air! They were quick to respond, honest, and professional. They knew exactly what it needed and fixed it promptly at a great price. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

They were on time, friendly and their prices, for the service performed, were as expected with no surprises. They were great!

They installed a new furnace and air conditioning system for me last year. They arrived on time, were very friendly, and did the install to my complete satisfaction. On my request they even did some extra things that were above and beyond what were required for a basic install without extra charge. Both the furnace and air condition work great. I highly recommend the variable speed blower. This year when we started the air conditioning for the first time it didn't seem to be cooling as well as the previous year so we call them and they promptly came to the house to look at the AC. It turned out that the issue was that we are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and a bunch of the vents were shut off to contain the dust and the filter was dirty. They stand by their warranty.

They explained the available options and advised us on which would work best in our home. They arrived at the scheduled time, were very efficient and did a great job of cleaning up. They informed us of the rebate program and provided all the required paperwork. I would definitely recommend them; they were very friendly and knowledgeable.

I woke up one Saturday morning in February to a cold house. My furnace was not working. Contacted the HVAC company I had a service contract with for heating and cooling. They had a technician out within 2 hours and I was informed my heating unit would require a 'level 4' part replacement and cost over $500 to fix. As they did not carry Lennox, it could be up to 7 days to get the part in. Further, as my furnace was over 15 years old, he advised I was moving into a continual repair cycle and recommended looking at a new system. The company sent out sales person that afternoon that arrived with 2 small portable heaters. Nice touch. Measured the house and, on a 5 x 7 inch piece of paper, gave me a quote of $8,300 for all the work required to install both furnace and air conditioning (I requested this as well) units, payment options and informed me that he reserved the technicians and they could start on Monday. No furnace or air conditioning model number, no specifications - just the cost. The price seemed high. I told him I needed to get another quote and I was told I?d be comparing apples to oranges and that they might not be able to hold my spot without a quick answer. I was not pleased. I reviewed Angie?s list for HVAC professionals and decided to give JP Heating and Cooling a call based on member reviews. I reached Jim on Saturday at 4PM. He was at my house Sunday 10 AM with his son (and business partner). They inspected my units, discussed my needs and gave me a detailed quote with specifications on both units. $6,050 for everything. Jim lent me a large space heater. They had a commitment on Monday but could start Tuesday. They were besieged with emergencies and couldn?t make it until Wednesday. On Thursday the furnace was running. By Friday everything was finished. Jim and his son went above and beyond. Besides all the routine work, they installed a dedicated outlet for the furnace, installed the required smoke and CO2 detection monitors, filled out rebate paperwork and added a gas line for my stove for small amount. Everything was explained thoroughly along the way and I was very comfortable working with Jim and his son. As for the heaters provided by the Reimer salesman; they failed. I sent him a check to cover the cost (cashed) and requested the receipt so I could get a refund. I am still waiting on the receipt. I highly recommend JP Heating and Cooling will be calling them if I ever have any HVAC issues.

The work was excellent. The cost was reasonable considering what they were doing and they actually thanked me for giving them a job that was out of the norm for them.Ilove warm floors.

I called JP Heating because of their positive reviews on Angie's List. My furnace was not working and it was a cold day with my wife, two children, our cat, and dragon lizard at home with no heat. They promptly came, misdiagnosed the problem and installed two relays, which did little good, for after they left; the furnace turned off and would not go back on. I had no confidence in this company, to allow them to install a new furnace.

I contacted this company after reading reviews on Angie's list. I had already had a company come out to give an estimate and they didn't recommend a high efficiency furnace. We received excellent advice from JP and have been extremely pleased with the results. The house has stayed cool (and now heated) without the ups and downs of the previous system. It's very quiet and we aren't even aware of it running. I believe this is a father/son team. They came when scheduled, were clean and efficient. They informed us of a rebate program and provided all the needed paperwork, I would use them again in a heart beat. They also gave us a discount for being Angie's list members!

I called JP Heating after trying to book service from another company that I had done business with previously. They other company told me that I would have to wait a week to get a tech out, which I didn't want to do with water leaking all over my basement furnace room. Jim set up an appointment for the next morning. He showed up on time, assessed the problem, and gave me a quote and approximately how long the job would take. I have a big, century old house and he explained to me the maintenance I should do on an annual basis (how to oil the pump, check the gauges, what pressure the boiler should maintain), which was more than any other service man had done in the 22 years we've lived here. The job was completed,and Jim checked to see that everything was in working order. The big surprise was when he tallied the bill, and it was $100 less than the quote! I was obviously pleased and would recommend them to anyone who wants quality workmanship at reasonable prices.

The Job went very Well. They Had it done in a day, which was 2 days earlier than we expected. They Removed all the debris and cleand up after themselves. They did an excellent Job, Were very Professional and Friendly. I highlly recommend JP Heating and cooling. We wont use anyone else.

They were great. Both Jims (father and son) were very professional. They explained the differences in the types of equipment and were very helpful in making a decision which system was right for us. Installation went without a hitch. Both were very neat and efficient, and extremely hard working. The entire job took only two days. I am so very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a heating and cooling contractor. I will update my review in the fall when I get a chance to use my new furnace.

He spent so much time with me going through every little detail. He educated me on what he was going to do. This gave me confidence in his quote. He was punctual. There was no hidden pricing. He stayed within the quote. He was very neat and cleaned up after himself. He was absolutely fabulous. His quote was competitve and he had the very best warranty. He outbid everyone with the warranty.

I called late Friday afternoon and was immediately scheduled for an estimate the next morning. This highly professional team arrived when promised, inspected my furnace, ductwork, thermostat, space in my home as well as the old a/c unit. They considered all relevant factors, provided pros and cons as well as pricing for each option, and advised when asked. We agreed on the work to be done that day and they said they would call the following week to schedule installation. They called Monday, arrived Tuesday morning, as agreed, and had the work done by mid afternoon. All the old equipment was removed from my premises and the work areas were cleaned. This was an exceptionally satisfying experience and I highly recommend this company. I plan to have a humidifier and air filter unit added by them to my furnace sometime next year.

The job took a day and a half. We have only positive responses to the job they did.
