Can't rate what hasn't been completed. We are still waiting. They finally checked the roof after several attempts to contact them. They did not check the attic as the contract stated. Told us what was wrong and needed to be fixed and we requested they proceed with the work that needed to be done.....still waiting. We are frustrated because winter has kicked in, we paid the money and have not rectified our issues. Price charged thru Angie's list was $135; quote to have work done is $175. Total $310..ouch!

Fit us in ahead of schedule due to an opening for a smaller job he had. Ended up being a bigger job than first thought. We had 4 layers hidden underneath and far more rotted wood then we had guessed. The job ended up taking all day on a Friday where they stayed late and still were not done due to so many extra steps they had to take. There top guys all agreed to come back on Saturday and out in another 8 hours and never rushed to be done even taking the time to fix little extra things on our house that had been done wrong years ago by previous workers. In the end we were not upcharged for any of the extra tear off time and the extra rot and damage was very fairly billed and did not exceed our original budget. Louie was on site for the start and a few times during the job. Also returning on Saturday to make sure we were happy with the progress and the I make sure everything that we ordered was known by the crew. He was also available at any time of the day to take a phone call fo any questions if he wasn't on site. In the end we asked for quotes on a few other things we want to do some day for our house because we feel like we have found someone we can fully trust at an affordable fair price.

The job went well. They showed up on time and I was completely satisfied with the work. Louie and his team are very qualified and they take pride in their work. Excellent service. Few roofing companies actually do it right. Loui and his team do excellent work at a good price. When you hire these guys you know you are getting the job done right, the first time! You can always call them before, after and during any job. We recently had a new roof put on by Home Handyman Services and they did a fantastic job. This was not an easy job. We have a 2 ½ story house with two dormers and very limited access. The Home Handyman crew was extremely professional and respectful. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day and at the conclusion of the job. The owner, Lou, is the most responsive contractor we’ve ever experienced. He explained everything thoroughly and informed us of issues that arose during the course of the roof replacement. He was also receptive to changes that we requested. His estimate matched the final bill. We highly recommend Home Handyman Services. Their work is of the highest quality.

They were prompt and efficient.

I attempted to utilize this contractor twice over the past 6 months. He was recommended by Angie's List and when I contacted him, mentioned that he had experience working with slate roofing. When I had him out in August to look at gutters and slate roofing, he said "take video of the water when it rains and send it to me". He also said he would "add me to the list" of houses he was going to drive by when it rained. Never heard from him again, which was disappointing since my neighbor saw his truck and mentioned he was happy with their services. In February, I figured I'd give him another shot and contacted him for the installation of a new exhaust fan in an upstairs bathroom. This would be a little more complicated then a normal installation - there was no existing ductwork, electrical, or easy access to an external wall. Joe came out and took and look. We went over the details and even removed a small portion of the attic floor to expose some working space. He agreed to do the work and would "get back to me" after speaking with his electrician. Several days went by, I attempted contact several times. He finally agreed to come the following week and urged me to purchase the Nutone ventilation fan, one he was comfortable installing, to help save him a trip to the store. The week came and went, I contacted approximately 5-6 more times via telephone and text with no luck. I was left with a $150.00 fan and a wall / floor cavity opened up in the attic. I tend to be very critical of big business, as they have the means and resources to complete tasks. However, I'm very sensitive to small business owners, as I have been been one. At one point I know he was sick and there was some confusion as to whether he is running the business or retiring and handing it over to his son Luis. (which is does show in his company info). Both times, in August and February) he mentioned he doesn't do much work and was retiring. Regardless, several months have gone by and no contact has even attempted to be made. I see that he has done work for others in February, so I decided Home Handyman Services may have been a reputable company at one point, but has lost my trust. Unfortunately, I would not recommend or waste my time with this company in the future.

This was a large and complicated job, which Lou and his team handled flawlessly. Home Handyman Service has been replacing roofs in Buffalo for 40 years, and this experience definitely made a difference in dealing with this roof. Great work. Would definitely work with them again.

Can not complain one bit about Louis and his crew. Very professional. Started at 8 am and worked all day. We recently got new landscaping down. I still have yet to find one nail anywhere. Their crew did a great job cleaning up. Ivy construction gave me a quote for 35k for my roof. Let's just say Louis made it much more affordable as my roof was a monster.

Can't say anything other than great. No extra charges for considerable damaged sheathing replacement. I asked for numerous additions in the way of non-roofing work without estimates and was absolutely surprised at how little they cost when we settled up. There was virtually no damage to landscaping and I never found a single nail left on the property. Lou Gott and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Oh, despite a record-breaking winter, no leaks or other failures despite multiple chimneys and valleys.

They were very professional and did excellent work. They arrived on time and went straight to work with sufficient manpower to get the job done right. They were courteous and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. Good advance communication scheduling a time for an estimate. They understood that the job was somewhat urgent because of a pending sale of the home and accommodated us during a busy week. Overall a very good experience with this company.

They came when they said they will and finished on time. They also cleaned up after themselves. I have recommended them to others. I am very pleased with them.

The crew did a good job and all of the debris was removed from the premises

Everything was terrific: promptness of estimate to do the work, explanation of the upcoming work and work completion time. Roof and gutters appear to be well installed, and the company guarantees the work they do. A much different experience than we had with the company that installed a new roof on the rest of the house 3 years ago. In fact Lou and his crew from Home Handyman Services had to repair some of that work. Thanks for the great job!

Home Handyman Services did respond. I had them confused with another company that did not respond. Louie Gott did in fact go to the property and inspected the roof, he did it free. I would use them again.

This is the second year that I have had the firm of Joseph Gott clean and winterize my rain gutters. I am very satisfied with the services his employees performed, especially with the two young men this year (Joseph and Julian). They were very polite, very accommodating, very efficient with the work and with two friendly smiles throughout the time they spent with me. I reached out to Home Handyman Services twice via Angie's List messaging, once on the phone and left a message, and then responded "NO" to Angie's List email asking if I'd heard from the company. After going weeks without hearing from Home Handyman Services, I am doubting their customer service and their reputation as a company, so I no longer want to use their services.

It was okay. I paid for the service at the beginning of July and never received the service until the end of August. That he was too busy and I wondered why he had the deal offered up on Angie's List. They did a good job when they did do it. The only thing is, I never got any feedback on the inspection. It was just the $75. He was very polite when he called because he called to apologize for the delay.
