High Performance Refinishing

This was a terrible experience. He showed up 4 hours late on first day, but I figured maybe it was a miscommunication. He showed up 3 hours late on second day saying his wife had a car accident and he was in hospital all night. He was 3 hours late on third day saying there was a problem with getting the wood. And Then 3 hours after he was suppose to be there on day 4 he called saying his van broke down and then showed up another 4 hours later. In 4 days of me taking time off work to be there, he probably worked a total of 6 hours. He lied to me about the wood not being available and didn't even order it until day 4 and tried to charge it to his old employer's account, yet he kept leaving during the job to get 'supplies' every day. To top everything off, He stole $5000 worth of jewelry from my jewelry box and blamed it on his helper, and because I confronted him, he was able to get most of it back for me. Needless to say I fired him from the job and pressed charges with the Buffalo police. Unfortunately I made the terrible mistake of giving him some money upfront which I will never get back. Please do not let this man into your home. Had I looked up Angie's list prior to this job I never would have hired him to do my floors.

They did a very bad work. Their estimate was $900 and we ended up paying only two because we asked them to leave. They pulled up the flooring. They were supposed to rip up the carpeting as we had carpeting and they had to sand down and refinish the floors. There were some stains and they said that they could get the staining out. After they sanded the floor they realized that they couldn’t get it out. So they suggested that in that area, they would replace the wood. They got the wood which was only half of what they said they were going to buy. They didn’t have enough wood to finish the huge area that they tore out. They brought the wrong wood so it didn’t match. The hardwood is kind of puzzle but they didn’t puzzle it and it was like one straight wood. It was awful. They never showed up on time. The first day he was supposed to be here, he called me and told that their tools got stolen and was the first sign that I shouldn’t have chosen them. It was horrible and I had another company who did the work again. We would suggest everyone not to waste time calling them as it was the worst experience of our life. Everything was wrong about them. They weren’t reliable and lied. Afterwards they kept threatening us as they would take us to court for the rest of the money for what we owed them. We said that we were fine with that and would be happy to meet them in the court as we had the pictures of what they had doe not our living room. Their price was fine for the initial estimate that they given but we wouldn’t hire them at all.

Put polyurethane over wet stain and ruined floors! PLEASE LOOK AT PHOTOS! Streaks and blotches everywhere! Was 2 hrs late twice. Even caught crewmember sleeping on sofa cushion in garage.Rushed job to get payment. Very unprofessional by keeping customer waiting but almost rabid in wanting payment. Called when dry enough to walk on and told him job was no good. He came and looked at it and said would have to be redone. Then stalled and said would have to dry a month. He said he would redo on Nov.1 2011. When contacted on Oct.28 about redo, he said he shut down the business and sold his equipment. Then he said he was busy and offered 1000 for the spots. He knows the whole job is bad and you cannot just sand spots. Then he said he would rent tools and redo.Just getting the runaround since job was done. A full refund has been requested numerous times via text and email but he is now dodging and not responding. Says he doesn't have the money. BEWARE!! This job cost over $3000! DO NOT let this man touch your floors! I cannot understand how he can be on Angie's list if he says he is out of business. Since this floor disaster occurred, his memberships and affiliations he claims in his Servicemagic site have been contacted. So far 2 have responded and cannot find him listed as a member under his business or name. At this point, we are totally disgusted with this so called company and wish to warn the public so they can avoid being ripped off. DO NOT HIRE!! Also check BBB for unresolved complaints. Please be warned! Have found him advertising on Craigslist as of January 3, 2012. LIED about being out of business and selling tools. Still no satisfaction so have small claims case in progress. His excuse to the judge was that streaks and blotches are due to floors being old. Of course who refinishes a new floor? Have had another estimate from a different company and gentleman could not believe WHAT A LOUSY JOB Andrey had done! Andrey diid not show up for 2nd court appearance andnow owes refund which has not been paid.
