gentleman came out to my home to give us a estimate for spring clean up. my husband explained what we wanted done- raking of old much, pulling weeds, putting weed block down, putting new mulch down and raking pebble stone along my house and putting new stone done. the estimate we received was $5220.00, which did not even include another area i wanted weeded. When i called and wanted a explanation of why so high i was told it was because of the area that i live and labor. i told person that i talked to that other landscaping places are charging around 2,000 why so high- again he said area that i live, if they did not want to do the job why did they not say so1

I was told there was a 3 week turn around time after the contract was signed. I called the owner to see if he could nail down a date and I was told that they would call the night before they came, that did not work for me and I tried to explain to him that I was leaving for vacation and needed a little more information. At that time he told me by the end of the following week. That didn't happen and I left on vacation. My wife put a review on Facebook saying how the owner had told me by the end of the week, and that seemed to light a fire under the owners feet, but unfortunately that was not what we wanted. We wanted him to do the work by the time he had told me on the phone or hold off for a week as we would be on vacation. The owner ignored my needs and did the work while I was away. When I returned I was horrified to see that my stone retaining wall was in disarray, and the color of mulch had been changed without my permission. The owner did not like the review my wife had written on Facebook and texted me to tell me about it...TEXTED, not called.

Made arrangements over the phone, and the phone was always picked up when I called. You don't always get that with contractors so this was a huge plus. It took a little longer than I hoped to start the job but that is the only small issue. The job was fairly involved and the area was difficult to access. The crew even put my wood fence back together in better shape than when they arrived. The work itself very good, I wanted to wait a month to see how the sod held up before reviewing and it still looks great. I paid more than I hoped but after seeing how much work was involved, I think it was a fair price. Recommended.

I've never had like that done before so I don't know what to expect. They did a good job and they took all the trimmings away and we paid extra for it. Their price was like what everobody had. If I needed to, I would certainly call them and get an estimate.

The service was dependable! We started late with them because we tried two other companies that did not work out. This was our most expensive winter. The Grabbers worked during the night when necessary, had good personnel and good equipment.

The contractor showed up expected,on time and did the work in a very professional manner.

10/24/2014: Grabber crew arrived ~8:45am and completed the job by ~2pm. They also sodded my neighbors who had her driveway/ sidewalk replaced. The crew was diligent and conscientious in their work performance. Everything was done in a timely manner and they arrived 3 days earlier than I expected which was a plus in my book! I chose Grabber and Sons because they are in the neighborhood and I buy my plants from their nursery. They have always been knowledgeable and have gotten discounts on some of my purchases.

I e-mailed Grabber and Son's to get an estimate on landscaping and a new lawn. They replied within 48 hours that someone would contact me. Within 3 days Mr. Grabber called me. He explained that the landscape designers were booked but they could replace my lawn. He came out within the week and gave me an estimate for sod which I accepted. Within the month the company came out, took out my old lawn, and laid the sod. It was extremely hot and dry weather. Within 2 weeks I could tell that some strips of sod were not going to recover from the heat. I contacted the company and Mr. Grabber sent out the workers with new sod. They spent the entire day replacing the parts of sod that had not taken. Mr. Grabber explained that I should fertilize the lawn in the fall, but not use weed control until spring and I followed these directions.The company guarantees their work. It has now been a year and my lawn looks beautiful. I am very happy with the work and customer service.

They did a great job. I've even had people come up to me and ask who did the job.

I needed landscaping shrubs/evergreens and a hydrangae shrub. The staff was very professional and helpful to decide which shrubs would suit my needs. While the price was reasonable, the quality was excellent. I have purchased plantings from Grabber in the past and have always been satisfied with the nursery staff.

They made an appointment and they said two weeks; they came out on time and they are just here starting to work now. Their prices were competitive, I look up for the prices on the list and was just almost the same. What I like them so far is that and they're very nice, they spend everything on me when they came today and they got right to work; I asked them if I should stay down there and they said that they don't need me. I might have to come back maybe tomorrow.

We were very pleased with their service. They responded quickly to my phone call. They were easy to work with and very honest.

Gentleman doing the estimate arrived on time and was very professional. He seemed very knowledgeable. The estimate was almost twice as much as another one I received. I would probably not call them again due to the price.

There was no real art involved in shaping. I thought the price was a bit steep. They man that I met with was very nice, as a matter a fact I had to delay the work because a cardinal had made a nest in one of the bushes and was raising birds in the bush.

Fine- the guys who do the work generally seem to care about the finished product. I have minor ongoing issues with the lawn cutting - but then again they aren't dealing with the perfect lawn.

They are excellent! They are professional, had great workmanship and they knew what they were doing. They always showed up on time. The only negative was that the pricing was a little off, the final price was a little more then the estimate. I would recommend them.

All the work was very detailed and exactly to the layout. They came out and sat down with me to go over the design lay out to make sure it was exactly what I wanted, they followed direction very well and they did not hesitate answering any of my questions.

I already paid Grabber and Sons Landscaping for the laying of sod in my front yard three weeks ago. I understand weather issues, but would have at least liked a call. This is not a very responsive company.
