Improperly installed windows leading to a hand injury requiring medical attention. Customer service presented false claims, and accused me of lying about my injury

Took 5 weeeks to have windows made ( salesman said) and 2 days to install with window wrap. All done on time.

Had the salesman come to the house (Doug Shea ) April 3 and am still waiting for the estimate. I called him on four occasions and the only thing he said to me was for the Provia doors it would be in between $12,000.00 and $ 14,000.00 and that he would get back to me.It is May 21 and I am still waiting. Since then I was able to get the doors for almost 1/2 that price. I would never recommend them to anyone for any work that they would need done !

Made an appointment a day later they called and said that date and time wasn’t avail. Could I reschedule? I did . On the new date and time no one showed up. When I called they apologized and asked me to reschedule again. Their products may be good but I wouldn’t know , I couldn’t get them to come out. I will go to their competitors.

Very well. Three member team came on time and completed the job in half a day. Everything was done professionally with total clean up. Everything was done very well.

We have mixed feelings about Comfort Windows. We purchased all new windows for our entire house and they were installed in November 2015. So far, we have not had any issues with the windows themselves. The installation took 4-5 days which seemed like alot to us at the time but they were not slacking at all and had alot of trouble getting the old windows out and the new ones in. I do not fault the team at our house at all for the length of time they spent at our house. They really worked hard. Towards the end though they were getting sloppy with the trim work inside the house. The first few windows were perfect and the other ones had sloppy cuts and poor joins. We had to have several re-done. We have all casement windows on the front of our house and one of them we've had a problem with since it was first installed. We had to have them come out 3 times before it was finally fixed. One time, I took off work to meet them and he never came. When I called them the next day, they replied that he was at my house, hours before he was scheduled, fixed the problem from the outside, and then left. He left no indication that he'd been there and was on our property without permission. When I commented that the incident was handled totally inappropriately and that the least they could have done was called to let me know NOT to take off of work, I was dismissed rudely. That definitely left a poor taste for me. The kicker was that with a casement window and the problem we were having, there is no way you can tell from the outside that the problem was fixed. So of course it wasn't and they had to come back out AGAIN. The final straw for us was when we were having the front facade replaced a year later by a different company and they showed us how poorly the outside trim was done by Comfort Windows. Had we not replaced the facade, we definitely would have had water damage eventually. Though most of their people were great and worked hard and the windows seem sturdy, I would not recommend this company to anyone. The few times I had to call the office they were very curt or downright rude and the fact that they had to come out no less than 3 times to keep repairing the same issues makes it a fail to me. I'm really hoping the windows hold up because I do not want to have to call them again!

Very little to report. I selected Comfort Window & Door from four suppliers based on product, presentation, reputation and price. They were on time for everything, did what they said they would do, cleaned up after themselves, etc. Nearly two years have passed and I am still satisfied with the product and the installation. I would and have recommended them to others.

They're very good. They come out, do the work and are out of here.

Damaged the threshold on install, offered discount or replacement. I chose replacement. They came back ~3 weeks later with new threshold, disassembled whole door and replaced damaged threshold with new and re-assembled entire door(s). Responsiveness was good, but I had to make a few calls to follow up on threshold replacement. They came through in the end with a quality product, great install and it looks great too. I would use them again.

Excellent, no-pressure salesman. Installation team was friendly and walked me through the changes and how to care for the new windows.

The two men that came were excellent. They were considerate of my concerns and were very professional and friendly.

Comfort showed up on time, as promised. The installers were very respectful, clean, although one really smelled of smoke which I am super sensitive to. The windows were installed in less than a day. The windows look great from the outside. Inside is a different story. Since we were replacing casement windows with double hung, the mullions (center pieces) had to be cut out before they could install the window. Neither the salesman, nor the man who measured the windows told us that there would be a gap where the mullions were. These gaps had to be filled with small pieces of wood which were not stained, then they sealed with clear caulk. In three of the windows, the pieces of wood were flush. In two of the windows, it looked like tiny pieces of wood chips were inserted after the fact. They look awful! We called and Joe came to look at them and said that's what they look like. There is no way to stain over the caulk either. I am very upset about this because when you pay $1000 per window, they should be perfect. We were told ( by the installer, after the fact) that they "could" have gone to the studs and avoided the ugly mullion space. Now we are stuck. Hopefully we can find some kind of brown paint that will cover this up. Not very happy. I suppose if you were getting new double hung windows in place of old double hung windows you wouldn't have this problem.... Apparently both the salesman and measurer are no longer with the company, but that doesn't help us any..... hopefully the windows at least save us on heating. Time will tell this winter.

Showed up when they said they would, the work was done to our satisfaction and they were friendly and professional.

Awesome team. Right from first contact through quoting and completion of work was done very professionally. All questions were answered and the couple concerns I had during installation were addressed. I am very happy with the results.

I dealt with 3 different crews. Most of the workers were great. There were a couple of mistakes, but that repaired or replaced any problem. Overall, really good service. The quality of the doors was excellent.

they showed up on time and did very good work. it was a 3 day install because of all the work that had to be done. they cleaned up everything afterwords and left it very clean. they washed the windows also.

Two brothers completed the installation. They did a great job. The brothers showed up on time, took their time doing the job correctly, stayed late when needed, paid attention to the details of the job, and always left the area clean.

The windows are terrific! Highest quality on the market. The installation was outstanding as well as the service. The triple pane are extremely quiet and glide effortlessly. A friend recently purchased a new house with Pella windows which were awful by comparison. The Comfort windows were on the expensive side, but worth it.

This was obviously a very large job. I chose Comfort Windows and Doors because they are a local company that does not subcontract out their work. The men who worked on my home arrived every day they were expected on time. They were friendly, professional and trustworthy. I believe the windows and doors I purchased are top quality, they are easy to clean and everyone has commented on how nice they look. I opted to do all of the installation of my doors and windows to be done from a rough opening due to the age and condition of the windows that were in the home originally, this did add to the cost but my windows are installed and insulated correctly I have brand new window sills and everything looks great. I noticed an immediate difference in the temperature of the house and I know that National Fuel will be receiving much less of my hard earned money this winter. I plan on residing my garage and house, I am also going to have a new roof put on my garage in the near future and I will definitely will use Comfort Windows and Doors. They did an excellent job and I couldn't be more pleased. I love a good deal as much as anyone but it is important to remember you get what you pay for.

Call for a estimate had it scheduled for June 5th at 4:00pm, at 4:26pm called there office to find out were the person was the woman in the office ask if I wanted her to call him and see when he would arrive. I told her no thank you, he should have called me to tell me that he was running later, and to cancel the estimate. I don't want them working on my house if the cant be professional and be on time or at least call.

We have been in our home for over 16 yrs, and had been in the market for new windows for about 16 YEARS. We'd received a number of quotes throughout the years which scared us off from buying windows and just continued to cover the windows with plastic every winter, which never really did anything but rip the paint off my window frame. While at the home show in February, our mission was to look for windows again and we literally talked to two companies (one of which never contacted us after we gave them our contact information) and Comfort windows was one of them. We met Mitch there and he was fun to talk to, very approachable and we felt comfortable giving him our contact information and we setup a meeting right there at the show. From the time we had our salesman Mitch come to our home to talk to us about windows until the time the guys doing the install left, everything was great! We met with Mitch in late February and he was considerate, he listened, was very forthcoming with information without being pushy, and he took the time to give us ALL of our options which is something that been missing from our last few window estimates. We were looking to replace 21 windows, which we did, but after talking with Mitch about our options we ended up purchasing 16 windows. By making a few single windows into double windows we not only saved on our expense, but we beautified our home more than replacing the singles with singles would have done. We also received the best quote for windows that we had ever received (by a mile) from Mitch and Comfort Windows. About a week after that, Scott came by to do our final measure for the windows and he was fast, efficient, took his shoes off without being asked, and was very friendly. The only small, small hiccup came when I received the call and a message was left that my windows were ready and I should call back to schedule an install. I tried a few times to call the number and every time i got the answering machine. (Hence the "B" for responsiveness in my grades) After a couple days of back and forth missed calls and messages being left, i was finally able to reach the scheduler and make my appointment. When it came time to receive our windows which happened roughly 6 weeks after we signed the contract, that experience was just as enjoyable. The guys doing the install, Kenny and Dave, were professional, non intrusive, and cleaned up after themselves better than I had expected. The job was scheduled to take 2 ½ - 3 days and it took 2 ½ days. When they were done, we walked every window and Kenny answered every question I had and even caught something that they missed (2 inches of missed caulk) and took care of it right away. He even gave me some advice on repainting my window sill which has just gone up the priority list with the install of these beautiful windows. I'm very happy with the purchase from beginning to end.

I had all new windows and doors installed 12 years ago. Comfort is excellent with after the sale service!

Job went well. The installers replaced the old windows with new comfort windows. The crew cleaned up after themselfs

They tried to fill the windows with some foam from the outside to try to fix a leak. It did not fix the problem, so I called them to come back out. They are coming back out to try to fix the problem, but said that if they cannot, they will fully replace it.
