Right now it is snowing like crazy and I am very happy that I went and had my new roof and gutters put on by Black Rock Roofing this fall! I have used this family owned company in the past for my rentals and relatives and have always been pleased. This time was no different. From the time of the in depth estimate by Joe, to deciding the color - the aunt of the owner who works in the office (her son is the estimator) took the time to find properties that the company had installed their roofs so that I could see what the roofing color and texture looked like on a an actual roof, to the expert help of Dave the owner, Dan's help, and of course, the awesome crew including the gutter men and the crew who made sure everything was put back right including the wires! I would not hesitate to recommend this company!

We are very happy with the work that Black Rock roofing did on our home. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. They were in constant communication with us. We knew when they were going to start. The crew did a fantastic job. They did a great job of cleaning up after the work was done. They took care to protect our home during the tear off. We couldn't be more pleased and our house looks beautiful.

Joe came at the scheduled time and provided a detailed estimate for a complete roof replacement. The price was in the middle range of other estimates that I had received, but it seemed like the best proposal for dealing with the issues of our house. My wife and I decided to do a repair to the specific problem area, but down the road when we have the whole roof done we will most likely use Black Rock.

We were very satisfied with the job on the complete tear-off and replacement of the roof of our 4-plex investment property. New gutters, fascia boards and soffits were installed. The deteriorated plywood boards were replaced. The crew cleaned up afterwards.

New to the area, I chose Black Rock because they seemed like a large outfit that had been around forever. I thought they could get the job done quickly once they started, do a good job and not have anyone get hurt on my somewhat large building. I wanted the roof tarped so I would have time to empty the large attic, cover the insulation with plastic, see if venting needed to be upgraded, and have a few more months to save for the payment. A few weeks later a crew showed up to tarp my roof. The salesman, Mike, called me and said my roof was "impossible to tarp" due to "the length of the rake". I suggested that he send a more motivated crew to do the job and he responded they were his "best". I spent some weeks being p***** off and worried, waiting for calls and messages to be returned, before I asked for my deposit to be returned. Black Rock said they would do the whole job in the winter if/when they had two good days but it finally occurred to me that if I couldn't trust them to honor our contract, I couldn't trust them to do the roof - especially when they were incapable of putting a tarp down. Before I got my refund I discovered that Black Rock has a new owner with a less than stellar reputation. I feel lucky to have gotten my depost back.

We are very happy with the work they did. Every step was explained, the materials seemed to be very good quality, all of the people we came into contact with were professional and pleasant to deal with. Our house required a lot of detail work which was done completely to our satisfaction. The clean up work was also good. The house looks brand new.

It took me over a year of planning to define the project scope of work and then interview contractors for the job. I selected Black Rock Roofing because of their high rating and positive reviews from customers. I am so incredibly satisfied with the results and felt compelled to share my project with others planning similar work. Even before I selected and signed a contract with Black Rock, their salesman, Mark B. gave his time and knowledge showing me all of the options to consider (i.e. roofing material, siding styles / colors and most importantly window-door types). Once the project was underway, their work crews displayed professionalism and quality workmanship in all aspects. Black Rock has separate crews for installing roofs, windows/ doors and siding trim. All experts in their craft! My project was extensive and involved a complete "make-over" of the exterior from a 1970's Tudor style to a fresh modern look. The project duration was 3-months and sequenced in the proper order of replacement starting with the roof, then windows-doors and finally siding-trim. I highly recommend Black Rock!

The workmen were very professional and careful. They took their time evaluating the shingles, and repaired those damaged by the harsh winter. They came at the exact time they were expected

Black Rock always called me back and were always on time. After they left, it was cleaner around the house than before they arrived ;). After two days they were done. Workers were great to work with, friendly etc.

They came to replace my neighbors roof in June. During the day, I stopped home for lunch, and they were using my front lawn as a work area. Not the end of the world, thought it was a little odd. It was a two day job; I came home after working the first day, and found that they turned my driveway into their storage area overnight. I had five ladders in the driveway, shingles and other parts throughout my property. It's a long, single lane driveway, so this prohibited me from using my driveway at all. I am a contractor and have a work van that usually gets parked in the driveway, where I have security cameras. They had 5 ladders up against the house that I could not take down. Of course, my work van gets broken into that night for over $4,000 worth of stolen equipment/tools and damage. Lived here and in this area for 12 years, never has this happened. Tough coincidence I suppose. I can't say I have used them, I just know that I would never want a contractor I hired to impose on my surrounding friends and neighbors in such a way. I would expect them to ask if they needed to use my driveway, ask if they needed to use my lawn to store parts, and ask if they can leave five extension ladders up on my house. They may do great roofs, but I would never hire or recommend

Black Rock Roofing is the best company we have ever worked with. All their workers are professional and courteous. I have worked with Joe and the owner and had the best experience ever and they were so helpful to deal with our homeowners insurance claim. I would recommend Black Rock Roofing to anyone. We have gotten so many compliments on our home since the job was completed on 06/13/15. Thank you so much Black Rock Roofing for making our home beautiful again after that snow storm in November 2014.

I had noticed water damage where the upper wall met the ceiling in both my bedroom and my attached bathroom. I knew the previous owners of my house had a new roof put on by Black Rock in 2000 so I called them. Within a day or so Mike Hamilton from Black Rock was at my house. He was very professional and showed genuine concern for my problem. He went up on the roof, into the crawl space and into my bedroom and bathroom. He found the problem. He explained to me what the problem was, what needed to be done and how it could be fixed. I am a single woman living alone. I've been taken advantage of before with companies that will bill for things that never needed to be done. Ignorance costs money-lesson learned. But not here. Within a few days, the problem was fixed. He did a great job. He even took it upon himself to fix a few things the he felt just were not perfect. I never felt like I was being spoken down to or that my concerns were not taken seriously. I would definitely recommend Black Rock to anyone who wants an honest company doing work on your home.

They are an excellent company, I havent had any complaints.

Did a good job installing a roof in conditions that were not ideal since this roof was done in November. They were able to get it done quickly without sacrificing quality. Did a great job of cleaning up. There was some "blow off" (about 6 shingles) when we had a wind storm in November but they repaired it almost immediately after I reported it.

This was a very professional firm. They consulted with us every step of the way and we did make some changes - changing to matching color gutters when they found out they would be available, and adding roofing jobs and more storm windows when we were so pleased with their other work. It did take a little while for them to get started due to the fact that they have only one siding crew. But what a crew! The siding is beautiful. The details done made my almost 100 year old house look like new and I can already tell we will be much warmer this winter and have lower heating bills as they stated we probably would. We did have a small problem with the pitch of some gutters and that was quickly fixed - on a Sunday!

The replacement went exactly to plan. There were no surprises and the crew was friendly and quick. I had no issues with this company and will use them in the future. Fully recommended!
