Company gave second highest estimate for roof plus estimate of $1250. for new gutters. House estimate was $7550.00

Unbelievable!!! The house shingles that were replaced crack if you look at them the wrong way. The repairman knew exactly how to remove and replace the shingles. A new downspout was installed and no damage was done to the shingles. An extension was added to the top of the downspout to correct an overflow problem. Everything was cleaned up. Work time was about 90 minutes total.

This was a great experience, starting with the estimate. The owner explained the entire process. The work crew was on time both days they were here and cleaned up each day. I've had a few concerns since the roof was installed because of the downspouts (which you can't know until you get a really good downpour), and Black Rock has stood behind their work and solved the problems.

Some of our shingles blew off in the strong winds on Dec. 28, 2008. I contacted 3 roofing companies right away and Black Rock Roofing was the only one that called me back. They got a sample of our shingles within 1 day to try to match the new shingle (they were unable to match it, but I went ahead with the work anyway). They also completed the work within 1 week, for the quoted price. They even completed the work with snow still on the roof!

They were very fast. They did a good job at cleaning up. They did damage my plants with their ladders, but they took $100 off the cost. The price was excellent.

GREAT EXPERIENCE. The entire team was professional and explained all phases to me as they went along. The entire job took 3 days and cleanup was done at the end of each day. The team was very careful with my property (lawn, siding) AND with the neighbors--living in Buffalo the houses are really close. My new roof and gutters look fantastic.

Did a very nice job and protected property well during tear-off. Power washed my neighbor's driveway to get rid of all the roof dust. Only company contacted that actually got out and went up a ladder to examine roof. Very detailed quote encompassing all the items I had listed. Of the other companies quoting: One "forgot" some items, though list was supplied. Gave verbal quote over the phone which was nearly the same as Black Rock's. One did a drive by, never followed-up with quote, though 2 months later called to ask if their quote was acceptable, what quote?

For the meetings they did arrive on time and they were straight forward and honest. I feel that the price was a little high, but fairly reasonable. I am going to have them do the work in the next couple of weeks.

It went very well, overall. Scheduling for specific dates was very important to us and I should have been more clear about my scheduling limitations and getting clarification about how long the work would take, but they worked with us and the timing worked out. The work crew was very professional and did a decent job cleaning up after the job. The estimator gave us some good suggestions to consider, in anticipation of some other work that we may have done that should help save us money down the road. The work was done within 4 weeks of when we signed the contract which was within the time frame that we anticipated.

They did a great job, complete roof was done in 1 1/2 days with very little mess. Have had no problems since 1 1/2 years later.

There were never any leakages or problems with my patio roof until the new shingles were installed. The new wood is not good quality as the original, and there are now gaps between the new wood and garage where there were none before.

Black Rock is a company I would simply recommend to anyone. They are very knowledgeable. They obviously know what they are doing. They clean up. They don t' make a mess. They do not bother you and they do not waste time. They are fabulous.

Due to the October snowstorm, the garage roof had been damaged by a tree. I had contracted with them in November, but they didn't start work until next January. In discussing the project with the salesman, it was agreed to repair the roof with tongue and groove lumber (the workmen used plywood). They also replaced the gutters on the house (and the garage which I specifically asked not to do).

Black Rock roofing performed excellent work on my roof. The workers were very friendly, and the neighbors were pleased that they weren't disturbed. Also, the cleanup was magnificent on both sides of my home, no nails!

Black Rock Roofing tore off the old shingles and replaced them with new shingles. The crew was friendly and started work immediately. They cleaned up on a daily basis.
