+ -1 moreI called the Baumgaetner on the phone and described a table which had been water damaged. Portions of the table surface were veneer and the veneer had delaminated in a couple of spots. I didn't have much hope that anything could be done and was basically looking for a confirmation that the table was unrepairable that I could then forward to my insurance company. What a grumpy guy! He told me over the phone that my furniture was "junk" and that I should buy a nice American-made piece of furniture. While he sounded like someone who knew what he was talking about, he gets poor marks for professionalism. Not all pieces of furniture that use veneering are junk.
Description of Work: I discussed a piece of furniture that I needed to have repaired after suffering water damage. I needed to know if a dining table was fixable or not, and if so I needed an estimate of the cost.

+ -1 moreThis outfit seems to embody the now-disappearing old-time craftsmanship. Though the work was not complicated, and probably one of the simplest things he did, he did careful, good work.
