They came in and surveyed the whole hose and its contents to come up with an estimate. I asked if I could do the packing of the boxed myself to cut down on cost, and he said that was no problem. He gave me a lot of different options to help with cost and priced out different scenarios for me. The move ended up going very well.

Movers arrived pretty much on time. There were 2 other households of furniture already on the truck, a very small space was left for my stuff in the back. The back of the van was opened and stuff from the other clients had fallen all over the back of the van. After straitening the other stuff back in place, they started putting my things on the van. There was very little room but I was assured everything would fit ok. They did manage to stuff all my things into the van, but did not use any wrappings. I did not feel good about this. The movers were friendly though and seemed to know what they were doing. I noticed they took a lot of time rearranging inside the van to get things to fit. They arrived 5 days Later and started unloading. The lead man said there was some damage to my oak dining table and that this doesn't happen often. The entire one pillar leg of the table was cracked the entire length and it was taped together by one of the movers. Next came my $800 couch that had 3 holes on the back flap and one starting on one of the cushions. The molding on my dresser was scratched and cracked and one of the posters on my bed was badly scratched and cracked. Some glass things were broken. They never did acknowledge the damages. The lead man just gave me a number to call and and said a rep would come to look at it. I have moved this furniture several times before with different companies and never had so much damage, still discovering damages. I will never hire Atlas again. Can't wait to see how they handle the claim.
