YOUR SPACE TRANSFORMED

Emma came over for a consultation (a large portion of that first consultation fee could be put as a credit to the first followup appointment). She walked through our space and spent extra time looking at our projects and how we had things organized. She suggested some areas for action and made an appointment to come for her first "working" appointment. She suggested a 3 hour block would be more effective in seeing progress. She worked with us to move things around and begin purging. She gave us philosophies to follow and she wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty and move boxes around. In the space of three hours we had the crowded basement organized into piles of things to give away, look through to select items to purge further, and things to throw away. She also went through the rest of the house in that same 3 hours, making suggestions for how we could re-organize and tackle the projects there. She gave us enough of a head start to run the rest of the distance on our own. She left us with a 2 page to-do list with phone numbers of local handy people and model/item numbers of things at furniture and home accessory store that could help us organize and followed up with other ideas via email. Emma has raised 2 children in small spaces and she knows how to live efficiently...from experience. She is also a designer so has an aesthetic in her way of approaching the project. We were able to finish the job from there and although we may have her come back for some subsequent projects that we weren't able to do in the first consultation + 3 hours... but 70 percent of the apartment has been tackled thanks to our first 2 meetings.
