Excellent contractors! We keep hiring them. They are extremely efficient. And they do it all. They worked on our bk condo by adding a staircase and building a second floor from scratch., as well as a total kitchen remodel. They also did a complete cosmetic update renovation to my mom’s house in queens. You know you have great contractors when you go back to them to get more work done.

The Waxtel team was awesome to work with on my bathroom renovation. This was my first major project as a homeowner, and they made the entire process easy for me. My bathroom was complete in 3 weeks, looks beautiful, and works wonderfully. I am so happy I did it and happy to have worked with the Waxtel team!

I recently closed on my new-build condo in Stuyvesant Heights area of Brooklyn this past March 2023, & needed a local general contractor to execute a long list of works to bring my designs for the unit to life & add some character to it. When I contacted Waxtel LLC, Dave (owner) priced the large job I requested (general contractor, electrical, and plumbing works) reasonably within my budget, was very responsive, & kept communication clear. Rich (PM) helped support the contractor team in execution of the works, but myself/husband did have to handhold some of the contractor works to ensure it was done on time & met our quality standards.

Dave’s team recently redid my kitchen and did a great job. They were affordable, super professional, accommodating of my time frame, and surprisingly fast!

Dave and Andrew were easy to communicate with. They were able to deal with some issues that came up during the Reno process. They did a good job!

Team Waxtel is top notch. I have been fortunate to have their expertise in taking care of numerous properties and appreciate them, particularly during stressful times, the team reassured and stabilizes.

The job was done right, and met all the requirements and specifications for the Department of Buildings.

The whole project was a dream. Dave walked me through the planning and actually took me to places to pick tile, flooring, cabinets etc. Richard managed the project while it was happening and was always available at a moment’s notice. The team was respectful and did the best they could to make living in a construction site bearable. The project finished on time and on budget and I love it!

I reached out for a broad quote on kitchen remodel and provided approximate size of area and was met with a very rude and unprofessional response: “ I need to see it And why would you invest $20-40,000 in a rented apartment” - it is none of your business why I want to renovate a rented apartment, and “ I’m very busy What you are asking is $20,000 - $40,000 could be $50,000 I’m a 5 star contractor and incredibly busy. Give the peoject to one of the other 6 contractors” - wow, I’m speechless. How rude, disappointing, and undeserving of “super service” from Angi.

This was the second project I worked with Waxtell on. We had the opportunity to purchase the apartment next door, and before even making an offer I consulted with Dave to get his opinion. Had I not already worked with and trusted Waxtell I'm not sure I would have tried to pursued. It is such a gamble when you engage a contractor and I wouldn't have wanted to undertake such a big project with someone I didn't already know and trust. Dave recommended an architect for the project, who he knew and worked with often, which made things go much faster since they already communicated regularly. Everyone who worked on our job was great. We had the same crew working from start to finish (not always the case with contractors!), and they always arrived on time and were highly skilled and courteous. We did consult with another firm for the project in hopes of combining the design and construction in one place, but the price and timeline were 2-3x what Dave quoted us. Another great reason to go with Waxtell.

We ended up finding Dave on a recommendation from my sister and my cousin who both had good experiences. Dave, Rich and their guys were fantastic and easy to work with. We were able to completely finish our project within a month and we've been really pleased with the quality. Our bathroom and floors look great! Would absolutely recommend.

My apartment is located on upper east side of Manhattan, the renovation is very complicated with a lot of regulations and I am very picky person with perfection mentality. My contractor is David who is very cool guy, He has done amazing job in the short time with low price that makes me very happy. I am a designer that I have my style set but he has done exactly what I like which impressed me completely. Even after service, he has always tried to help us with anything we need with no condition. We are very lucky to found a great contractor like him with Worry free. I am highly recommended him with pleasure.

Dave Waxtell, the owner, was brilliant and delivered in full. I enjoyed good communication and good guidance on costs and options, dealing with unexpected findings clearly and professionally in a way that left me, as the client, feeling comfortable.

Renovation and installation done very well. The team had to work around supply chain issues and they were accommodating. Dave was always responsive to texts, emails and calls.

Overall much higher quality work, now the walls are plumb and square, tile pattern is correct and well balanced. The bathroom design is exactly the same other than a few minor details where they suggested a different angle or joint but if you could see them side by side there's no comparison on the work. The previous GC never finished the punch list, there were a hundred pieces of blue tape on the walls. Now we have one piece of tape on the floor in each room.

The two-person team from Waxtel did an excellent job here. They were professional, competent, courteous, and a real pleasure to work with. All the work was high quality and thorough. One of the best interactions I’ve had with a construction team. Highly recommended! Definitely would hire again. Before & after photos of a couple of the projects attached.

We are very pleased with the outcome of our project. The process went as smoothly as one could hope for especially considering the difficulties we faced with our condo association. David Waxtel was a gentleman throughout the process. He put together a good team of laborers and a job Forman who saw to each daily task with creativity and good ways of working. They were prompt each morning and worked well with our building Super in meeting all requirements including daily prep and cleanup. I was present throughout the project and saw good quality work each step of the way. The icing on the cake was the price. Waxtel company quoted me the lowest price of the five contractors I bid this job to, and stayed within that quote to the end. I couldn’t be happier.

Dave and his team are phenomenal. Very professional, cared for our space with attention to details like covering up furniture to minimize dust. They added temporary plastic entryways to the work area. Always on time and responsive. Can't find a fault in their craftsmanship,.

We put off renovating our small Brooklyn apartment for years. We could not get a single recommendation from friends for a contractor, just tales of bad experiences. So, I took a chance on Dave based on the Angie’s List reviews, and I am very happy I did. I can now add to the good reviews. The Team were fantastic, and the quality of the work was excellent. The team are problems solvers, and when we ran into the occasional issues they were able to find good solutions. The work was scheduled to take 3-4 weeks (full kitchen remodel, refinish wood floors, new bathroom floor tiling, electrics, appliances, custom woodwork etc.) and we moved out for the renovation. It took the full 4 weeks, with the team having to come back twice to wrap up final touches (mostly due to supply chain issues, not a fault of the contractor). Our site manager was Rich, who was extremely responsive to all my questions and texts, and believe me I had a lot of questions. I had no problems getting the contractor back onsite to finish when the last deliveries arrived. Based on my experience, I would certainly recommend Waxtel LLC. You will love your new Kitchen!

There is no better team. I am trying to get them to come to my new house in another state. They made every project simple which made it easy to get done on time. Impeccable service and care. Beautiful work at an incredibly reasonable price.

We are very happy with our renovation. Results were beautiful. They stayed within price and time estimate, but most importantly Dave is an honest decent person who’s very communicative. There will always be hiccups and we expected some. The Waxtel group was able to work with us to create a great bathroom. Tiling was top notch.
