Description of Work: They upgraded and brought up to code our homes gas lines after many leaks had been discovered. They were terrific to deal with. They made sure we understood the problem and explained to us what our options were. They provided us in advance a detailed estimate. |Although it was an expensive job, I'm so happy we got such an experienced and reputable company to do the work. |

Description of Work: Sub- contracted from Home Depot, Vigilante installed a new Rheem hot water heater. Although, the receptionist recorded the order wrong, the install team corrected the mistake without question. The team of two were courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend again and invited Vigilante to provide and estimate to replace an aging steam boiler.

Description of Work: Knocking in sprinkler system line. They determined it was a backflow flap that was defective. They could not unscrew the nut to get to the valve. They suggested to bypass the nut, cut the pipe in front and back of the valve, replace the backflow flap and reconnect the pipe. The knocking stopped and the cutting of the pipe to replace the valve became necessary. A service call charge was assessed but no additional work was necessary.

Description of Work: IT DIDN'T GO WELL AT ALL. I told them that I HAD TO LEAVE TOWN THE NEXT DAY AND they DID COME RIGHT OVER BUT, DIDN'T DO WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD. I NEEDED A NEW HOT WATER HEATER RIGHT AWAY!! I told them I wanted the heater put up on cement blocks because the heater I had rusted away on the bottom. They came with the same type heater I already had. It has 3 or 4 inch plastic stands on the bottom. Then they told me they would have to cut the pipes if they put it on blocks and couldn't do it. I shouldn't have paid them the price we had set!!! But I was in a jam and didn't think. Then they part way drained the old heater and left it. I had to leave them and go to the bank while they were working and told my grandson to watch them. He was in the living room playing a game. I had a small leak when you use the upstairs sink drain. When i came back water was pouring down from drain ( strange)IT HAD NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE. I had to leave for my flight and knew no one else to call on such short notice but them. They fixed it for a small amount of money but still i know they did something. THANK YOU FOR ASKING ME ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE BECAUSE I FORGOT TO WRITE YOU WHEN I RETURNED FROM MY TRIP. This review is the Gods truth AS IT HAPPENED. Melvin C Darrell PS. THEY KNEW THEY HAD ME IN A SPOT AND TOOK ADVANTAGE OF IT. YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE WIGHT ME BACK.

+ -1 moreNow for my situation, we're talking a maximum of 20 feet of venting... They quoted me $945!!!! I can find the materials on-line for less than $100 easily and I cannot imagine that the job would take more than an hour tops. It was truly an absurd quote and a complete waste of my time and money, no doubt the easiest $69 they ever made.
Description of Work: I called Vigilante and asked them to give me an estimate to replace a metal foil dryer vent with a more stable smooth metal vent. I was told it would cost $69 for them to come and take a look, but that it would be refunded if I hired them to do the job. They gave me a window of between 8am and 12 pm on a Saturday... They didn't show up until 1:30 pm.

+ -1 moreThe plumbing that was done under my sink had to be redone and they charged $180 for the toilet seat. They were very sloppy with some of the tar they used on the exterior work. I would recommend others to steer clear of them.
