Description of Work: I had a leaking faucet in the kitchen on an apartment that I own. When I called for an appointment, I asked if the person was a licensed plumber and was told that he was. I do not believe that he was licensed, but rather a worker reporting to a licenses plumber. A decisioni had to be made whether to repair or replace the faucet. The faucet was a high quality Kohler, which has repair parts available. I got the impression that the plumber did NOT want to repair the faucet or replace any parts and replaced decided to replace the entire unit, saying that parts were not readily available at the local plumbing supply house. I was in Florida at the time, and the decision was made without having an intelligent conversation with me (the owner). If this logic was used in all of our situations, we would all be driving new cars - and not having any repairs done. Cost was $160 for labor, $174 for new Delta pullout kitchen faucet from NY Replacement Parts. Total $334. After the plumber left, then tenant discovered that the dishwasher was not working, since the plumber forgot to reconnect the dishwasher water line that he had disconnected. The plumber had to come back to complete the job the next day.
